Real Characters episode 44 Coronavirus doing what Democrats couldn't.

                President Barack Obama is in the White House knowing that he can’t run for a second term.  He has overseen a presidency with many scandals from fast and furious to Benghazi, to using the IRS to attack his political opponents.  None of this really phases him as he is a Democrat so enjoys the full spin and cover by the mainstream media.  His plan is to pass on his legacy to Hillary Clinton to cement himself in the history books.  As he looks at the Republican field that has narrowed from nearly 20 candidates down to a just a handful, there is one clear front runner.  His name is Donald Trump.  Many precautions have already been made with all the leading candidates in how to use the awesome power of the government to attack them.  With Trump, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have gone to Ukraine, England, Australia and other countries to help them take down Trump.  They are all too willing to agree because they don’t want to strain relations with America and all indications point to Hillary Clinton being the next president of the United States.

                Although President Obama has used the IRS and DOJ as his own personal revenge arm, he is not the one spearheading this.  Hillary Clinton has taken the lead as Obama looks forward to enjoying the rest of his time in peace without the weight of the free world on his shoulders.  After all, it’s Hillary’s presidency they are ensuring so if she’s not going to be the most ardent fighter for it, then who would be?  In late July 2016, Hillary Clinton calls Barack Obama and states, “Mr. President, I need you to do something for me.”

                “What is it?”

                “I’ve had our friends across the pond dig up some information on Donald Trump.  They have been feeding information into the FBI through a variety of sources to make it seem like corroboration.  There is a man named Anthony Ferrante, who is working on your National Security Council in your white house.”

                “I’m with you so far.”

                “He needs to have some freedoms to assist me.  I need you to pass an order in reaction to a cyber problem that highlights our need for security and guys like Ferrante.”

                “Well, the DNC was hacked.  I could start there.”

                “Yes, the Russians hacked the DNC.  That would be a perfect message.”

                “In the meantime, I will have the FBI look into how the Russian were able to do that.”

                “Don’t bother.  Let’s just say that I have it under control.  I don’t want the FBI anywhere near it.  I’ll pay lip service to it and have an outside company that’s loyal to me named Crowdstrike look into it and find nothing.”

                “I will do what you ask.”

                After he got off the phone, Barack Obama calls Anthony Ferrante who answers, “Yes Mr. President.”

“I need to write a directive giving you some freedoms that you may not have now.”

“Yes sir, I am aware.”

“Since I’m not too keen on the specifics, I was wondering if you could develop it for me and see that it gets implemented.”

“Given I’m the one that needs it implemented, yea that would be great.”

On July 26, 2016, Barack Obama issues President Policy Directive (PPD) 41 in reaction to a US Cyber incident that involved the role of the department of defense.  A few days before that, Hillary is on the phone with Christopher Steele, the Englishman that is putting his name on a dossier written primarily by Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS, whom Hillary has paid through a law firm Perkins Coie.  Steele is an informant for the FBI and CIA though the FBI thinks he is exclusively their source.  Steele has been leaking his dossier to everyone from John McCain’s campaign to Buzzfield to the DOJ, to Mother Jones.  Steele answers the phone, “Mrs. Clinton, how may I have be of service.”

                “You need to add a memo to the dossier.”

                “Saying what?”

                “Russia’s cyber campaign to hack the DNC.  The president is going to issue an executive order about it soon.”

                “I’ll work on it right away.”

                As it turned out, the memo in the dossier was dated July 26, 2016, the same day as the directive.  Both the PPD and the memo in the dossier include the news about Russia hacking the DNC and it being a very serious threat.  Five days later, the FBI officially opened an investigation into Donald Trump named Crossfire Hurricane.  Around this time, Steele gave the dossier to Buzzfeed who leaked it to the world. 

                Despite Hillary’s best efforts in sabotaging Trump, Donald Trump, not Hillary Clinton, became the 45^th President of the United States.  Even though Donald Trump had a hit TV show where he made the phrase ‘you’re fired’ a tag line, he decides to be diplomatic and not fire all Obama holdovers in his White House.  This would prove costly in a number of different ways.  One of which is that Anthony Ferrante is still with the NSC as their cybersecurity advisor.  Now that Trump is president, it’s his job to undermine him and get him impeached, which means desperately trying to get anything in Steele’s dossier to stick. He continually gathers information and reports back to the FBI where he was a former agent.  Eventually, it is determined he is not very effective inside the White House so he leaves in April 2017 because Rod Rosenstein, Jim Comey, Andrew McCabe and various other have decided to appoint a special council to investigation Russian collusion with President Trump even though they know that didn’t happen.  Upon their request, Ferrante leaves the NSC and joins a consulting firm named FTI.  From there, Buzzfreed hires him and pays him 4.1 million dollars to use what he learned as a cyberspy to verify any part of the dossier. 

                After two years, the special council fails and has to conclude that there was no obstruction and no collusion.  Technically, they don’t make a decision on obstruction but the new Attorney General Bill Barr is quick to determine that.  It is at this point that the supporters of the president know all about how the Obama administration illegally used the NSC database, manipulated the FISA court and illegally spied on the Trump campaign.  They fight back against the deep state Obama holdovers.  One group in particular, Judicial Watch, uses multiple Freedom of Information Applications (FOIA) to gather information.  One such FOIA is against the FBI for documentation about former FBI director Jim Comey’s spies in the White House.  As this includes Ferrante, his secret is exposed but he manages to become lost in the news of other more heinous culprits of the underhanded vile tactics used against a seated United States president.  Ferrante, however, does not evade the inspector General Horowitz report into the origins of Crossfire Hurricane as he confirmed Ferrante was reporting back to the FBI when he worked on the NSC.  Buzzfeed’s $ 4.1 Million turned out to be a waste of money because Ferrante never did verify anything in the Steele dossier despite his spying.  By 2020, only Arther Snell, who is a managing director of Steele’s company Orbis, is publicly defending the dossier.  He says it is valid but can’t give one single example of a verified claim.  This statement, however, didn’t come out of the blue.  It was in reaction to another article that confirmed what everyone by now knew; that the dossier was based on fabricated information. 

                In 2020, it is now the Democrats turn to have a primary with a crowded field that is beginning to narrow.  Once again, one man has emerged as the clear favorite and front runner and his name is Bernie Sanders.  Not learning anything from four years ago, those on the right start pumping up Bernie Sanders because they believe him to have the least chance to beat Donald Trump in an election.  Anyone who remembers the 2016 Republican primaries may remember all the candidates quoting poll after poll that Donald Trump could not beat Hillary Clinton in a national election.  Why would you believe them now?  More shrewd Republicans, however, know their history.  Nobody considered Adolf Hitler a threat as he rose through the ranks.  It was only after it was too late did they realize how damaging and charismatic he could be.  Bernie Sanders is similar as he has a cult following that is spreading.   Conservatives know that there is no such thing as near zero chance to win when you’re the nominee for a major political party.  It’s for this reason that Tucker Carlson, Dan Bongino, among others are preaching that he needs to be stopped immediately and nipped in the bud so that he truly has no chance to run for president because he lost the primary. 

                As any student of history can tell you, almost every socialist country had the infamous last words that it couldn’t happen there but it did.  It is easy to dismiss it as people being stupid and the continued prolonged ignorance of the populace but there is a less pessimistic and sinister view.  People long to be taken care of so they like hearing that something is ‘free.’  By offering people ‘free things’ you manipulate and play on this yearning.  Most people underestimate the power of free because they don’t understand this basic tenet of human nature.  The problem is that the same people yearning to be taken care of don’t realize that ‘free’ isn’t free.  There is no money fairy and someone has to pay for it.  Those who seek to benefit believe Sanders’ lie that the rich are the ones that will pay.  This isn’t a new phenomenon as Milton Friedman commented on this when he cautioned, “You think your neighbor is paying but he thinks the same thing.”

                The reality is everyone pays and it’s the middle class that pays the most since the most amount of money is centralized with them despite what the mainstream media and academia tell you.  In three years, President Trump has had enormous success with a booming economy that Obama called impossible and so unrealistic, you would need a magic wand to do it.  Trump’s popularity among blacks is between 35-42%, which is a marked improvement from the 8% he had in 2016.  This is due to unemployment in blacks being at a 50 year low.  The unemployment rate on any metric is impressive as women and Hispanics hit an all time low as well and Trump’s unemployment is below that of Bush’s.  With this economy, it would be hard for anyone to beat Trump. 

                In the last week of February, the Democrats finally caught a break.  After tariff wars and strong rhetoric with China, China has concocted a virus known as the Coronavirus and unleashed it on the world.  Luckily, President Trump acted quickly and put China on the travel ban list so the United States was less affected as no American has died from it as February comes to a close.  This, however, did nothing to stop Americans from panicking and the stock market lost around 20% in a week.  Since the Democrats love lying and spinning tragedy to attack their political opponents, they immediately blame President Trump for the virus that originated in Wuhon, China.  They called his travel ban premature and racist but, like most things they attack the president on, time would prove President Trump right.  The media and Democrats pounce and inform the world that President Trump cut funding to the CDC and that is why it can’t effectively deal with the Coronavirus.  They used this tactic against Bush during Hurricane Katrina and figured renewing the strategy couldn’t hurt. 

                As the Associated Press is reading what their fellow mainstream media is saying, the editors sigh.  As writers line up to pile on, the editor utters, “Look, the president has a unique ability to make us look like fools and turn our attacks against us.  This is so easily disproven that we’re playing right into his hands if we write a hit piece on it.  It’s time to save face and not get on this losing horse.  Someone write a piece calling the Democrats out on their bullshit with the Coronavirus.  Lauren Neergaard and Calvin Woodward raise their hands.  They both assert, “We’ll write the article.”

                “Fine, but keep in mind you may be vilified.  In this climate, anything short of pure unadulterated vitriol against the president is unacceptable. “

Lauren and Calvin explain in the article that President Trump didn’t cut CDC funding.  What happened was he proposed to congress to cut it but they said no.  By the time a new budget was in order, congress got the president to sign a bill that increased funding to the CDC.  The article goes on to discredit their sister organizations by dismantling the narrative that President Trump decimated public health organization leadership as almost all the top scientists in those fields have been there for over three years.

Unfortunately, not everyone has a problem with telling ridiculous lies.  The New York Times doesn’t hide their bias when they write an article entitled, “Let’s call it the Trump Virus.”   Elizabeth Warren tries to use the Coronavirus scare to defund the border wall by passing a bill to use border wall money for the virus.  Given that Americans have yet to be seriously affected by the virus, having open borders to let people who are not as inoculated from the virus is so intuitively stupid you wonder if Warren is even capable of rational thought.  Despite no Americans dying from the Coronavirus, President Trump calls a panel to investigate how to stop the epidemic.  As the media MO is to attack anything and everything that President Trump does, they point out that most people on the committee are white.  I guess the insinuation is that white people are incapable of finding root causes of diseases. 

During the virus scare, Warren is still on the campaign trail.  She is about to wish she had canceled it because a Navy SEAL calls her out for forcing tax payers to pay for their neighbors kids to go to school.  He brings up how he had to join the military to pay for school and now she wants to make him pay for everyone else to go to school.  As examples and analogies are the best way to drive a point home, he points out that nobody forced the students to take out the loans so why should others be responsible?  He wonders aloud that once this is established, why not force people to pay his mortgage too?  The Navy SEAL, like most conservatives, believe it is nothing short of immoral to take from others when you are fully capable of doing it yourself. 

As there is a lot of disinformation about the Coronavirus, a man named Gordan Chang who is an expert in China and South Korean affairs, starts doing media hits to inform people of the truth.  In an interview, he is asked, “What are your thoughts of President Trump overreacting and putting a racist travel ban on China?”

“I don’t think that’s an overreaction at all.  That is the problem that South Korea is having right now as their anti-Israel president has opened the border with China.  Due to this, the Coronavirus is now devastating South Korea too because they were unfortunate enough to have this happen under their far left leader now.”

“What of the reports that the virus is de-escalating and the crisis is better now than it was before?”

“You can’t trust anything that comes out of China.  China, like every other communist country in history, lies to save their reputation and their face.  If the virus was subsiding, they wouldn’t be bribing people to go back to work like they are doing.  If it wasn’t too bad anymore, they wouldn’t be trying to stop foreign virologists to examine the virus.”

“How close are we to finding a vaccine?”

“I’m not sure but I believe it to be a very difficult task because the disease is mutating.  Like I said, China is not taking the steps that resemble what you do for a declining virus.  This is dangerous.”

“Well, thousands of people have died from the flu and that isn’t a market killing epidemic, why can’t Coronavirus be that?”

“China is lying about the incubation period.  Like I said, you can’t believe anything coming out of their country.  It’s about twice as transmittable as the flue.”

 “What about those that claim this was a scorched Earth policy by the Chinese.  As communists don’t value human life, they are willing to kill their own people in order to achieve their objective.  By unleashing this virus on the world, they destroy the American markets and that is retribution for the trade war.”

“I’m not sure if I buy into that because China will take a long time to recover.  The point of a scorched Earth policy is you hurt yourself in order to hurt the enemy more.  In this case, you get hurt more than your target.  I don’t think that’s what this is but you have to remember, it’s not just affecting China but multiple countries.  When your business partners no longer want to work with you, it messes up the supply chains and demand.  China sent a message that they’re not safe to do business with and that will annihilate their economy for years to come because although they have a lot of natural resources, trade with other countries is essential.  As for the United States, our trade partners will still want to do business with us as we represent 51% of the world’s demand.  Our nation has gotten through Anthrax, Ebola, Sars, West Nile and probably some I missed, so this is just a temporary setback.  There’s nine months before the election so plenty of time for a rebound.  The infrastructure of the economy is still in place so as long as President Trump doesn’t overreact and try to spend his way out of it or use bailouts, then we should recover much quicker than they do. 

                President Trump has taken on and beaten a lot of powerful opponents but if voters go to the polls with an economy that is still reeling from the February market collapse, then voters may prove Trump’s declaration in his state of the union that the United States will never be a socialist country wrong. 

Real Characters Episode 42 Surkov's greatest trick

                Vladislav Surkov walks outside his massive home in Moscow and picks up a copy of his New York Times.  As he scrolls through the paper, he removes an article by Adam Goldman entitled, “Justice Department is investigating CIA resistance to sharing Russia Secrets.”  He smiles and cuts out the article and puts it in a scrapbook next to another Adam Goldman article.  He knows that Carlos Slim owns the New York Times and the Mexican billionaire makes most of his money through remissions to Mexico so he doesn’t have America’s best interests at heart.  Still, Surkov is proud of himself that three years after he and his colleague Vyacheslav Trubnikov successfully convinced various British officials that Donald Trump and not Hillary Clinton was the Russian stooge, America was still in chaos from it.  At first, Surkov thought that they only had a handful of useful idiots but even he was surprised at how many people jumped on the bandwagon and now his group of useful idiots in America was massive.  He knew he couldn’t sit out of the 2020 election but given that his work from 2016 was still paying dividends four years later, he wondered how he could possibly do any better than he already had.  Before figuring out his future moves, he leaned back and reflected over his last four or five years.  As he reads the article, it is a synopsis of all his work but Surkov knows the whole story is much longer than this piece.  That is what he is reflecting on and these are the thoughts that went through his head.

 

                Barack Obama is the president of the United States and he opens an e-mail from his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  They have been e-mailing back and forth as Hillary is using her private e-mail so that other government officials won’t be able to read what they’re saying to each other.  Barack Obama did have to take the risk of alerting some people because his blackberry is so heavily guarded for various reasons that he doesn’t get a blacklist, or a list of e-mail addresses that will be blocked, he gets a white list in that only e-mails appearing on a pre-approved list will get through to the President.  The White House Communication Agency (WACA) is very diligent in maintaining that list and making sure that no e-mail gets through unless they pre-approve of the sender.  It’s because of this, that President Obama had to tell them about Hillary’s personal e-mail.  It wasn’t really a big deal because WACA wasn’t in the business of reading the e-mails; they merely determined who could e-mail the president and everyone else was banned. 

                Unfortunately for Obama and Hillary, an unsecured private e-mail is susceptible to having unauthorized people read them.  The CIA receives a credible hit that the Russians have hacked Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server and have dumped her e-mails to Wikileaks that they are threatening to release.  The CIA and the FBI ask Hillary to turn over her server and e-mails so they can assess the damage but she refuses and bleach bits her e-mails and destroys her blackberry with a hammer.  This prompts the CIA to look for the e-mails through the Russians as they are not going to be too protective over them.  When President Obama finds out that they are in possession of the e-mails, he calls the head of the FBI and tells him in no uncertain terms that he is not allowed to read any e-mails between him and Hillary Clinton and he is declaring executive privilege. 

                As the election nears, President Obama receives a daily briefing and he looks through it to see if there’s anything he needs to act on.  What he doesn’t see is anything about President Trump colluding with Russia.  This daily briefing is extremely well vetted to make sure that if the president is making a decision, it’s based on verified information.  After reading the briefing, his secretary buzzes and states, “Mr. President, John Brennan is here to see you.”

                “Send him in.”

                John Brennan walks into the Oval Office with a large manila envelope.  He hands it to President Obama and declares, “Mr. President, in this envelope is my assessment that I have it on good authority that Donald Trump is colluding with the Russians to steal the 2016 election.”

                “How is that possible when we have 50 local elections that make up our election?  It’s impossible to steal.  In fact, I recently gave a speech in the Rose Garden saying precisely that.”

                “With today’s social media and internet sophistication, I’m afraid it is possible sir.”

                “Well, I don’t like the arrogance of that man so keep the information coming.  This may be a blessing because we have actionable intelligence to take down Donald Trump and make sure he’s never in this office.  Keep me posted.”

                “I will Mr. President.”

                Shortly after Brennan leaves, President Obama is giving a presser in which he is asked about Hillary Clinton e-mailing him on her private server.  President Obama replies, “Let me be clear, I had no idea that Hillary was sending e-mails on an unsecured private server.  I merely saw it was from her and I opened the e-mail and figured it was on a secure network.”

                President Obama knows he’s lying but only people intimately familiar with the inner workings of the White House will know.  The majority of Americans will just take him at his word.  Later, he will use the envelope given by Brennan to assert that 17 intelligence agencies all agree that Trump colluded with the Russians.  The truth is, the National Security Agency (NSA) is only moderately confident as its director Mike Rogers has found that 80% of the times that the NSA database was accessed was for fraudulent reasons.  This forced him to shut down access to it as that much information was proving to be too tempting for its users not to abuse it. 

 

                There was a lot that happened before John Brennan walked into the Oval Office that day to deliver a document he knew to be salacious and unverified.  The reason he purposely did it separately from the President’s Daily Briefing is that he knew the document fake so if it was vetted, like the information in the Daily Briefing is, then it would be exposed for the hoax that it is and it will never be used by the FBI to open an investigation, which is Brennan’s ultimate goal.  This is the basis of what Goldman would later call US Attorney John Durham of accusing Obama officials of hiding evidence or maintaining analysis of Moscow covert operation.  It is an attempt to discredit Durham’s report which is set to be released in a couple of months after the article prints.  All that, however, comes later.  Right now, it’s August 2016 and the FBI has been inundated with information from a former MI-6 agent named Christopher Steele.  Steele is an FBI confidential informant.  What they don’t know is that Steele has been leaking his information to the media and to David Kramer of Senator McCain’s office so that there is bipartisan support for the information that is being filtered into the FBI. What Steele doesn’t know is that his information is not only being leaked by him but Steele’s former boss, the head of MI6 in Britain, is a dear friend of Brennan’s.  His name is Richard Dearlove and Steele just happens to be in one of the most highly surveilled countries in the world.  There is no right to privacy in England and Brennan has full access to Steele’s e-mails so he is well aware of his correspondence with Glenn Simpson and Stefan Halper as he puts together a dossier alleging President Trump colluded with Russia.  Now, the question is how to use this information.

                As Brennan mulls this over, he mutters to himself, “I need to get the FBI to open a criminal investigation into Trump.  What I’m going to tell them is a lie so I can’t have it get back to me so I need to do it in a way that it won’t be traced back to me.”

                In August 2016, Brennan figures out the answer to his dilemma.  He goes to Capitol Hill where he briefs the gang of eight or a group of eight congressman that are in charge of the congressional intelligence committee.  He purposely doesn’t tell the Republican members like Devin Nunes what he knows because he knows Nunes will try to verify it.  What he needs is someone that hates Donald Trump so much that they won’t even bother to check if the information is true but will go right to the FBI. Goldman will later claim that Durham is hunting Brennan but right now Brennan is hunting Trump and like every good hunter knows; stealth is key.  Brennan briefs Harry Reid and informs him of everything he learned while spying on Christopher Steele. 

                Brennan’s plan worked as Harry Reid only waits 24 hours before writing a letter to the FBI demanding that they open a criminal investigation into Donald Trump and his collusion with Russia.  In the letter will be information that will never be found anywhere else besides the Steele dossier, which Brennan claims he never saw until December 2016.  When you’re reading the author’s e-mails, you don’t have to see the document to know its contents.  His work is complete as he got Congress to push his flimsy narrative without him being blamed for misleading the FBI.   With his plausible deniability in place, he rests very easily that night. 

                The next day, he calls Richard Dearlove and there’s jubilance in his voice, “Richard, it worked.  Congress has pushed the information into the FBI and they’re going to open an investigation.”

                “Good work but I’m a little confused on why you didn’t just tell the FBI yourself.  Why make this so difficult?”

                “I’m advancing a hoax.”

                “You Americans are so blunt.  You didn’t advance a hoax; you operated on the bias of a preconceived notion.”

                Although the New York Times would use that precise language four years later, Brennan answers, “That’s one way to put it.  I would say that I omitted any information that didn’t fit the narrative to make it a stronger case.  It’s not exactly lying; it’s just omitting and not giving the full picture.”

                “I believe the expression is ‘seeing what you want to see.’”

                “Yea, that works.”

                “In all seriousness, to answer your question, I know the information we got from Steele was all garbage.  Most of it was based on a Wall Street Journal article written in 2007 that talked about Bob Dole not Donald Trump.  Let congress be the ones dropping the ball on bad intelligence and information.”

                “Can’t have another 9/11 on your hands.”

                “Exactly.  There’s other reasons too.”

                “Do tell.”

                “Right now, the FBI thinks that Steele is only their source.  I’d like them to continue thinking that.”

                “Well I guess it’s irrelevant now.  The FBI has the information and now it’s up to them.”

                “I agree but this is a good day.  You should have a pint and celebrate.  I know I will.”’

                In 2020, when Durham and Barr see through Brennan’s lies and unravel how he lied to the FBI, Brennan will go on Hardball with Chris Matthews and laugh at the accusation saying that it’s silly to open a criminal investigation for an analytical judgment.  The reaction is split down party lines.  If you support President Trump, then you believe that the investigation does warrant that when you fall for a hoax and a Russian misinformation campaign.  If you disagree with Trump, all of a sudden the intelligence community is not to be questioned as they’re the experts and everyone is the unwashed masses.  It’s interesting how they didn’t hold that opinion 19 years ago after 9/11 happened.”

                Shortly after all of Brennan and other’s efforts had failed, and Donald Trump is the next president of the United States, former FBI lawyer Lisa Page, who was disgraced when her anti-Trump e-mails revealed her affair with lead investigator Peter Strzok and unraveled their plot to stop Trump from becoming president, is on Capitol Hill giving sworn testimony to congressman Mark Meadows.  Meadows asks her if she is aware that Steele was a CIA source.  Page seems legitimately confused and replies, “If the CIA as early as August, in fact, had those same reports, I’m not aware of that, nor do I believe they provided that to us, and that would be unusual.”  It is at this moment that Lisa Page realizes that John Brennan and the CIA set them up and lied to them. 

                The Brennan as the useful idiot portion of Surkov’s trip down memory lane has ended and he pivots to the FBI.  This is where his friend Trubnikov comes into play.  After feeding Steele information about Donald Trump that is false, Steele exposes him by naming him and Surkov as a source to Kathleen Kavalec of the state department.  The FBI goes to London and meets with Trubnikov and inquires, “These are the claims that our confidential source has told us you told him.  Can you verify these statement about Donald Trump?”

                Trubnikov reads through the bullet points of the claims and scoffs, “No, this is all fake.  A lot of this stuff I said while taking shots of vodka and I was joking.  Others are just a gross exaggeration.  I barely recognize this information.”

                That should have been the end of that but the FBI ran with the information anyway much to Surkov’s surprise.  Surkov questioned his colleague later about this and Trubnikov informed him that they would have been more suspicious if he agreed to it.  By denying it, it helps them think that Russia is helping Trump.  He explained, “By me denying the information, they can spin it in their heads that it’s proof that Russia is helping Donald Trump.”

                Surkov wasn’t so sure that was the case since it discredited everything Steele said but here the FBI was getting a FISA on Carter Page based on the information in the dossier.  This was especially exciting to Trubnikov and Surkov since it was Carter Page who was sent to Russia on behalf of the CIA in a sting operation against Russians.  Their revenge was sweet.  Later, the FBI even set up a special council even though they knew that Brennan lied to them and the source already confirmed that it was a hoax but they hired Bob Mueller anyway.  This caused Surkov to call Trubnikov and admit that he was wrong. 

                Now that the Russian collusion hoax has thoroughly been discredited and the Democrats impeached President Trump but failed to remove him from office, John Durham and Bill Barr were going on the offensive as their investigation was wrapping up.  You could tell they were getting close because the media started attacking Trump and posturing that how dare he question professional intelligence officials as they are above reproach.  Bill Barr knew what was coming next; the Democrats would not learn from their previous failures and impeach President Trump again because he attacked the intelligence community, which they will twist to be obstruction.  Right now, Attorney General Bill Barr is being interviewed by a journalist.  He is asked, “After Steele’s success with exposing the FIFA scandal and his good standing with the FBI, why would you think he was disingenuous now?”

                Barr keeps a stoic face at the ridiculousness.  He merely responds, “Past performance not indicative of future results.”

                “He seems credible.”

                “If he’s credible then you have to believe that he didn’t lie to the State Department when he admitted that Trubnikov was a source.”

                “I don’t think he did lie about that.”

                “And Trubnikov is the head of the SVR, which is like the CIA.”

                “I didn’t know that but okay.”

                “So, do you think it’s possible that Steele fell for a Russian disinformation campaign and the information that Trubnikov gave him was a lie intended to deceive and mislead Steele?”

                “Well, I heard that Trubnikov was a double agent and our asset.”

                “He’s still in Russia.  If you knew that, you don’t think Putin would know that?  Why hasn’t Putin punished him then?  Why isn’t he fleeing Russia?  If Trubnikov is an American spy in Russia, why did we not know about Russia’s activity in Crimea?  Why didn’t we know about them hacking Hillary Clinton’s e-mails unti;l after the fact?  Why didn’t we know how they were going to meddle in our elections?”

                The journalist was speechless as he couldn’t answer these questions.  He simply retorted, “I’m not the intelligence expert here.  Who am I to speculate on these things?”

                “You can use your common sense.  Do you also think it’s convenient that Stefan Halper, a known CIA spy, taught a course with Trubnikov and that Halper was paid a million dollars to write a paper in which he cites Trubnikov as a source?  He’s also the guy that invited various Trump satellite people to Britain so they could spy on him?  Did you think that was a coincidence?”

                “Thank you for your time Mr. Barr.”

                Barr relaxes and takes a deep breath.  He thinks that he did well in getting through to the young journalist that maybe everything he believes to be true isn’t.  Then he picks up the New York Times and the Washington Post the next day and reads claims that it’s confirmed that President Trump is using the DOJ to attack his political opponents.  They both also assert that it’s already been concluded that Barr and Trump’s comment about Stone’s sentence being too harsh is obstruction of justice.  Barr sighs.  There was just no getting through to these people.  The truth is that only the New York Times and Washington Post were professing those ideas and it not only hadn’t been concluded but nobody was asking the question.  Barr thought of the old advertizing tactic of saying that everyone is doing something so you should too.  He shakes his head and wonders how they can’t see the blatant hypocrisy in accusing the President of using the DOJ to attack his political opponents when the DOJ just convicted a Trump ally who was Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama’s political opponent.  As he voices his frustration, one of his staffers articulates, “Sir, I have an idea on how you can use this to our advantage.”

                “We aren’t in the political game.  We only seek the truth.”

                “I’m not asking you to lie or spin.  Well, maybe a little bit but hear me out.”

                “I’m listening”

                “Well, I watch a lot of professional wrestling”

                “Odd place to begin but okay”

                “So in WWE, there are ‘faces,’ which everyone loves and the crowd cheers and ‘heels’ that everyone hates and the crowd boos.”

                “I’m familiar”

                “Well, no matter how much of a heel someone is, they can always turn into a face by doing one thing.”

                “What’s that?”

                “Criticize and attack Vince McMahon.”

                Barr perks up and mulls this over, “That is actually a very good idea.”

                The staffer beams as he was very nervous to bring this up.  Bill Barr immediately schedules an interview.  During the interview he expresses that he wishes the President wouldn’t tweet about DOJ cases because it makes it nearly impossible to do his job.  He ends it with a defiant declaration that he will not be bullied by anyone whether it be Congress, the media, politicians or the president himself. 

                Almost immediately, social media is a buzz about how Barr has turned against Trump and will be their hero to take down Donald Trump.  News outlets are ecstatic that they finally got to Barr and Trump’s handpicked attorney general has just stabbed him in the back.  They rush to President Trump for a response not learning from all the times they have been really excited only to be disappointed with Trump’s response.  President Trump tells them that he has no problem with what Barr had said.  After all, all Barr said was that his only loyalty was to the truth and what he believed was the right thing to do.  It’s hard to find fault in that.  The journalists go back to their computers dejected that they didn’t get the sound they wanted of President Trump attacking Barr. 

                Meanwhile, Barr calls his staffer and inquires, “Did you see the news?”

                “Looks like you’ve turned face Mr. Barr.”

                Barr grins, “Yes, and magically nobody is taking about my investigating Brennan and Comey as being a political attack.”

                “the mob is fickle sir.  They’ll turn on you once you attack their golden calf.”

                “I know but to people paying attention, they’ll see that they contradicted themselves.  I know we say that a lot but we do pick up more people the more times they are hypocrites.”

                “I’m not so sure.  Nobody seemed to care that Obama claimed executive privilege so the FBI didn’t read his e-mails with Hillary Clinton that the Russian hacked.  Interesting that the Russians can read it but the FBI can’t.  It was separation of powers then but when Bolton says something to President Trump, then they demand that he testify and reveal everything.  Double standards don’t seem to bother them sir.”

                “The president’s popularity among black voters is between 34-42% depending on the poll.  It hasn’t been over 15 in decades.  I know the president claims it’s because of the black unemployment rate being at 50 year lows and his criminal justice reform but I believe it to be that rappers loved Donald Trump.  People wanted to go to Mar A Lago.  They loved the apprentice.  Now, all of a sudden he’s a racist, misogynistic, NAZI?  They had trouble with the switch so they left the Democrat party and followed him.”

                “I think Bernie Sanders, an admitted socialist, may have helped with Democrats leaving the party.”

                “That is true.  I still cringe to think that the man who gave that speech at the University of Vermont saying that he was very excited and impressed with the Cuban revolution and the poor people rising up is now the leading Democrat candidate for president of the United States.”

                “Yea, not many Democrats are that radical so they are walking away from the party.”

                “The same could be said about President Trump.”

                “He’s at 95% Republican approval.”

                “That may have to do with the alternative.  Then again, it may be because the people that opposed him left the Republican Party.”

                “That’s true.  Nine months to go before the election.  We’ll just see where the cards lie.  In the mean time, face or heel, our mission hasn’t changed.  We are trying to determine if Brennan lied to the FBI and the truth is the only thing we have loyalty to.”

                Hanging up that phone on Valentine’s Day, it is not known if the spring will reveal Durham’s report but Republicans are eagerly awaiting it.  Conservatives, on the other hand, have given up hope that Democrats will be prosecuted.  The deep state is too strong and they prove again and again that Democrats are above the law.  This is especially true for anyone that opposes Donald Trump. 

               

 

Real Characters Episode 29 Counterpunching the greatest punch

                It is April 2007, and two writers for the Wall Street Journal are sitting down to write a piece.  Later the two writers, Glenn Simpson and Mary Jacoby would marry but at the moment they are writing an article together.  Although the Wall Street Journal has a sterling reputation as being one of the, if not the, fairest newspaper in the country, Glenn Simpson and Jacoby are doing something that, if people knew the truth, would tarnish the reputation of the Journal.  John McCain is challenging Barack Obama to become the next president of the United States.  In order to make their hit piece not be blatantly partisan, they are going to accuse former presidential candidate Bob Dole of colluding with Russians.  If McCain wins, they will then pretend that the Russians did it again with McCain to undermine his presidency.  The article is filled with sinister wealthy Russians such as metals billionaire Oleg Deripaska and Ukrainian Dimitrio Firtash, who owns an investment firm named Highrock Holdings.  Although there is nothing wrong with making money, the US embassy is suspicious of Firtash given that he’s been making deals with an energy company Gazprom and the Ukrainian government.  The US Embassy has openly criticized this deal due to their secrecy and backdoor dealings. 

                In addition to the Ukrainians and Russians, Jacoby and Simpson add some Americans so as to interest their, predominantly, American readers.  They talk extensively about a man named Paul Manafort who is aiding the Russian-friendly presidential-hopeful Victor Yanukovych.

                On the Russian front, Simpson and Jacoby claim that the Russians are laundering money through a Russian bank called Alfa Bank, which has branches in Cyprus that is notorious for laundering money.  They finish the article and it is published on April 17, 2007.   At this moment, the two lovers couldn’t possibly know what this article will do to the American justice system.  What they just created is a document that will become the foundation for the greatest entrapment and hoax in American history.  The only question is, will the world realize it? 

                In 2010, Yanukovych indeed becomes President of Ukraine.  This causes a Ukraine that’s even more polarized than it already is.  The dynamic in Ukraine is that the capital, Kiev serves as an unofficial border.  Kiev and east of Kiev, Russian is heard in the streets from citizens that don’t speak Ukrainian and, therefore, consider themselves Russian.  West of Ukraine, you will find a denizen population that loathes Russians as they still haven’t forgiven Stalin for his little stunt of cutting them off from natural resources and starving them.  Many in the world called this a genocide but it is not on the radar of many in America as the Western Ukrainians that fled Ukraine settled in the Midwest as the coastal cities were littered with Russians and they were who they were trying to flee in the first place.  Yanukovych sides with the capital and East and believes that Russia is a friend to Ukraine. 

                In 2014, this chaos will come to a head as Petro Poroshenko seeks to wrestle the presidency from Yanukovych as he believes in a Ukraine independent of Russia, thus is ideologically in step with the Western Ukrainians.  Although it seems like the good guys and bad guys are clear cut as Russia has a diabolical history and it is difficult to not side with a country that wants to be independent, the truth is there is massive corruption on both sides.  Ukrainian politics is an entrepreneurial endeavor and if you’re coming to help a candidate out of allegiance to the people of Eastern or Western Ukraine, you are actually in the wrong place.  Like all corrupt entrepreneurial environments, rich people flock to get their piece of the pie.  There are many familiar faces that America will recognize, predominantly Hillary and Bill Clinton as well as George Soros, a Hungarian billionaire who emigrated to America around World War II and is normally behind any massive liberal protest.  The secular-progressive liberals may not want to extol Soros, however, because his first entrepreneurial activity was to tell the NAZI’s where the Hungarian Jews were hiding so they could round them up and send them off to work camps or death camps.  It wasn’t difficult for Soros to know this information considering he was a Jew himself and Jews tend to stick together and grow up in Yeshiva schools.  When the NAZI’s came, however, Soros’ uncle handed him a cross and he pretended to be Christian and had NAZI’s pay him for more prisoners.  Soros tells this story with admiration for his and his uncle’s business savvy.  In place of remorse, you will find arrogance. 

                Soros is now an old man but he didn’t become a billionaire by resting on his laurels.  He is a fighter and now he’s in Ukraine for a fight.  He sets up a company called “Open Society Foundation,” which is set up to root out corruption in Ukraine.  Since Porochenko did end up beating Yanukovych with his help, he knows Porochenko owes him a favor and he’s going to cash in.  Soros has one specific target in mind.  The most profitable business in Ukraine is energy and Dimitrio Firtash is one of biggest energy guys in Ukraine.  Naturally, that’s the person Soros goes after to conquer some of Firtash’s share of the market.  He immediately investigates him and calls on his allies in Ukraine, the Clintons, to help him.  As the Clintons have turned the United States Justice system into their own personal mafia, they call their contacts at the DOJ and Soros’ capital along with the awesome power of the United States government attacks Firtash in the only way Soros knows how; complete and utter ruthlessness.  The Open Society Foundation is successful and the Ukrainian government indicts Firtash.  After which, Soros gives a billion dollars to Ukraine. 

                Another American prevalent in Ukraine is Vice President Joe Biden.  He is Barak Obama’s point man in Ukraine.  His son, Hunter, has also cashed in on Ukrainian chaos as he is named on the board of Ukraine’s largest energy company, Burisma despite having no prior energy experience.  It is unclear just how much Hunter Biden is making but some estimates suggest it is close to $70,000 a month.  Seeing that something may be suspicious with Burisma, the prosecutor general, Viktor Shokin opens an investigation into Burisma.  What Shokin doesn’t know is that the United States DOJ and State Department is very interested in a competitor of Burisma, Firtash.  Any attack on Burisma would help Firtash and they can’t have that.  Around this time, United States President Barack Obama has just approved an aid package to Ukraine.  Joe Biden is in Ukraine set to announce the deal to the public alongside President Porochenko.  Just before going on stage, however, Biden turns to Poroshenko and remarks, “You know, I told you I wanted your prosecutor general Shokin fired.”

                “I know, and we said we’d look into it and make an assessment on if he is corrupt.”

                “You don’t understand, you’re not getting the money.”

                “What are you talking about?  You have no authority to say this, your president…”

                “Call him.” Biden interrupts, “I’m telling you he’s with me on this.  I’m leaving here in about six hours if the prosecutor general isn’t fired, then you’re not getting the billion dollars. “

                Porochenko is left with no choice.  Despite the billion dollars he got from Soros, he needs this billion dollars.  It appears that the going rate for indictments and or firings of government officials in Ukraine is a billion dollars because Shokin is fired just like Firtash was indicted for the same price. 

                As there is a vacancy for the Ukrainian Prosecutor General, Ukraine nominated a man named Lutsenko.  Lutsenko is not stupid.  He knows what happened to his predecessor so he needs to be real cautious on not angering American Democrat politicians.  Luckily for him, they will help him with this endeavor as they send him a list of people not to prosecute.  On the list is AntAC, which is a company cofounded by the Obama Campaign and George Soros in collaboration with the FBI.  Apparently Soros isn’t done with Firtash and Yanukovych’s American helper Manafort.  They make sure that the new prosecutor general steps on their throats and lets them know that their reign in Ukraine is over.  When it comes to business, there aren’t many more ruthless than Soros.  Winning isn’t enough for him; complete and utter humiliation, destruction and annihilation of his opponent is the only acceptable outcome. 

Two years later, Manafort has given up in Ukraine and is back in America.  He endears himself to Presidential Republican nominee Donald Trump.  Manafort sells himself as a former Reagan aid and knowledgeable in politics.  He, however, won’t come with any baggage or problems as he has been away from American politics for years.  Unfortunately for Donald Trump, the key word was American politics and given that Donald Trump’s opponent in the election is the same opponent Manafort had in Ukraine, Hillary Clinton, his assertion that he came with no baggage is an outright lie. 

As the 2016 American election is nearing, Glenn Simpson is contacted by a law firm Perkins Coie.  They inform him that they represent Hillary Clinton and would like him to find oppositional research against Donald Trump on her behalf.  The price is around a million dollars and Glenn Simpson accepts it.  Simpson no longer works for the Wall Street Journal as he started his own firm known as Fusion GPS.  This money from Hillary Clinton through Perkins Coie is going to end up being the easiest million dollar payday he has ever had.  Rather than investigate Donald Trump to find dirt, he figures that he already did this in 2007.  McCain lost to Barack Obama in 2008 and Simpson figures if his article was successful then, then why reinvent the wheel?  Just change Bob Dole’s name to “Donald Trump” and hand it over to the Clinton and Obama’s DOJ.  It works even better since Paul Manafort has just been named Donald Trump’s campaign manager and he’s in the article.  Fortunately for Simpson, the price for this article he wrote 12 years ago is about to go up. 

George Soros calls Glenn Simpson and he answers the phone.  Simpson figures that Soros wants some help investigating something and he knows Soros has big pockets so he listens.  By the end of the phone call, Simpson’s jaw drops as Soros just made Hillary Clinton look like a cheapskate.  Soros offered 3.8 Million dollars for the exact same thing Hillary Clinton asked him.  Naturally, he agrees and instead of it being the easiest million dollars he ever made, it’s now the easiest 4.8 million dollars he’s ever made. 

With the higher price tag, however, Simpson believes that the article isn’t enough.  He needs the FBI and DOJ to take him seriously.  They can’t bother to verify the information in it because none of it is true.  That’s when Simpson looks across the pond to a man named Christopher Steele.  He offers Steele some of Soros’ money to put his name on the dossier and pass it off as his own.  Steele is a former MI6 agent and is now a confidential informant for the FBI and CIA.  Laughably, the FBI doesn’t know that he’s not only a FBI confidential informant. The emphasis on secrecy and protecting of sources forces the FBI to use code names for confidential informants.  The CIA does the same and, by nature, you don’t realize that one guy could have multiple nicknames from multiple organizations.  This ignorance by the FBI is going to cause a big problem in a few short months. 

Christopher Steele does what he’s paid to do and gives the FBI Simpson’s dossier passing it off as his own.  As planned, the FBI thinks it’s credible since Steele had proven himself by exposing the FIFA corruption.  Unfortunately for justice, the FBI doesn’t even bother to verify the information.  Steele knows that when there’s an investigation in the justice department, there is a not-to-creative piece of jargon called, ‘paragraph one.’  As the name suggests, it’s the first paragraph of the accusation that you would like to be investigated.  The first paragraph must clearly state what is being investigated.  The DOJ is about to investigate the Republican nominee Donald Trump so procedure should be crucial to make sure nothing falls through the cracks on a technicality.  This, however, is not what happens as Crossfire Hurricane, the investigation into whether or not Russia colluded with Trump to influence the 2016 election, never gets a clear answer as to what ‘paragraph one’ is. 

                Steele advises the DOJ as he is pretending that it’s his dossier.  He has found out that there is a ping from a server in Trump Tower to Alfa Bank.  If anyone bothered to look into this, they would realize that it’s spam advertisement for the bank that every American is familiar with as credit card companies constantly send out mailing and take out ads trying to get people to get one more credit card.  Steele writes a memo to the State department suggesting that they start with Alfa Bank.  When writing the memo, however, Steele writes ‘Alfa’ as “Alpha.”  If it was only one time, it may be forgiven as just a typo and an oversight.  To what should have been Steele’s detriment, he misspells ‘Alfa’ several times.  In fact, he never spelled it right.  This probably helps explain that Steele isn’t actually the author of the dossier.  If this was the only piece of evidence, one may forgive the FBI, CIA and DOJ but it’s not.  \

                Glenn Simpson finds out that the FBI believes that the Alfa Bank pin was spam so he decides to call the FBI and tells them not to be fooled; it’s not spam.  A FBI staffer working on the case wonders how Simpson could possibly know this.  They got the information about the Alfa Bank ping from Steele so how would a private oppositional research company know about Steele’s information?  It didn’t occur to her that it is because Simpson is the real author of the dossier.   

                The memo has the desired effect as a Democrat Senator convinces Dan Jones to look into Alfa Bank.  Dan Jones works for one of Soros’ many companies that is funding Fusion GPS.  A lawyer for the DNC, Michael Sussman calls an FBI lawyer named James Baker about the Trump Tower ping to Alfa Bank, which is how the FBI came to run with the information as part of their investigation. 

                As the FBI continues to look into the allegations made against Alfa Bank, representatives of Alfa Bank are furious.  They retaliate by suing Steele for lying about them.  They know they have nothing to do with Donald Trump.  Someone points out that he didn’t even spell the name of the bank correctly in his memo to Kathleeen Kavalec of the State Department.  Still, the FBI doesn’t think this means that Steele didn’t write the dossier.  Instead, 10 days after Steele talks to Kavelec, despite Kavalec alerting them of various holes in Steele’s story and discrepancies she found, they use it to open a FISA warrant on Carter Page so they could spy on him in the most invasive way legal in America.  Alfa Bank ended up losing the lawsuit so the first counter to what the deep state was doing had failed. 

                Nobody could have foreseen how great a job Steele would do in disseminating the dossier.  In addition to sending it to the FBI, he has leaked it to various news organizations.  Ironically, he finds a staffer in John McCain’s office to walk it over to the DOJ making McCain complicit in the very same thing that Simpson did to him 12 years ago.  2016 would prove to be such an amazing distribution of a document that the FBI will believe that all these people sending them the same information is corroboration.  In reality, it may be the largest game of ‘telephone’ ever created.  With this knowledge, it seems unlikely that the President of the United States Barack Obama isn’t one of the people that have seen it.  As with the theory that Steele didn’t actually write the dossier, there will be more actual corroborating evidence to back up this claim.

 

                Against all odds, Donald Trump wins the 2016 election and is the new President of the United States.  This causes a ripple effect all across Washington D.C.  The lead investigator of the ongoing investigation into Donald Trump on whether he colluded with Russia, Peter Strzok has figured something out.  He has been in constant correspondence with the CIA with information aiding in his investigation.  Months ago, the FBI had to fire Christopher Steele because he wasn’t supposed to talk to anyone other than the FBI about his information but instead he leaked it to the press.  Given that Steele was paid millions to violate his CI (Confidential informant) agreement, the 55-year-old Steele isn’t concerned about his loss of employment.  Strzok figures out that if Steele was willing to violate the agreement in the worst way possible, to the media, then it isn’t far-fetched to think that the press wasn’t the only person he told.  He takes out his cell phone and texts his mistress and FBI lawyer Lisa Page that they have to scrub the list of all the CIs.  Strzok puts the word ‘all’ in caps for emphasis purposes.  He needs to find out if Steele was also a CI for the CIA.  If he is, it proves that the information they believed to be corroborating was actually the same information from the same source they had. 

                Strzok’s fears are realized and Lisa Page ends up editing a 302 on a conversation with President Trump’s former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn.  Flynn was arrested for not properly registering himself as working on behalf of a foreign person along with lying to the FBI since he couldn’t remember a conversation he had with the Russian Ambassador verbatim six months after he had it.  Under pressure both financially and the DOJ threatening to indict his kid, Flynn pleads guilty.  Luckily for him, he got a new lawyer named Sidney Powell who is challenging the guilty plea and is relentlessly going after the government for malfeasance during their investigation.  A 302 is a summary of a conversation that the DOJ has with someone.  The Mike Flynn 302 contains the information that Director of Intelligence James Clapper told Washington Post reporter David Ignatius to ‘take the kill shot on Flynn.’  This part is what Page deletes from the memo hoping nobody ever finds out about this order from Clapper.

                At this point, the FBI has a decision to make.  Given that they now know that Crossfire Hurricane is a hoax and the CIA misled them so they would open an investigation into Donald Trump, they could end it now and reveal what they know.  Since Hillary Clinton is not the president of the United States, there is a lesser chance that all their misconduct will be covered up.  Without the help of the most powerful person in the world, it’s harder to bury your skeletons.  Strzok and Page have been texting each other a lot talking about how much they hate Donald Trump and want to stop him from becoming president. 

Strzok isn’t the only one horrified by this revelation. FBI director Jim Comey is now aware that his counterpart at the CIA used him.  The CIA doesn’t have prosecutorial power so Brennan tricked Comey into using his FBI’s prosecutorial power to do the CIA’s dirty work for them.  Comey feels slighted.  Didn’t Brennan realize that they were on the same team?  They wanted the same thing; to make sure Donald Trump never becomes president.  Why trick him?  Just come clean.  He knows that the decision that Strzok came to him with falls on him.  Comey contemplates whether the FBI takes a bath and admits that all their work over the last five months has been for nothing.  They were scammed and fell for a hoax and misinformation campaign bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton paid to Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS.  It is unclear what Comey’s thought process is or his reasons.  It could be that pride has convinced him that he’s gone too far to not see it through.  It would be very embarrassing to admit he was wrong.  That, however, is a logical result of an investigation.  If you investigate something, you may find there was nothing to it.  There should be no shame in that.  Another explanation for what he’s about to do is simply spite as he hates Donald Trump with a burning passion.  He can’t give up now; he needs to take him down.  Who cares that it’s a hoax; the ends justifies the means.  Whether it is pride, spite or faulty clichés, Comey decides he’s not going to tell anybody that it’s a hoax.  He’s going to continue with the narrative and tells his subordinates the same.  With this decision, he has lost the ability to claim plausible deniability and is now culpable. 

Around the same time as Comey is contemplating what to do now that he knows Crossfire Hurricane is based on a hoax, Mary Jacoby is irate.  She sees the mainstream media constantly talking about her work in 2007.  She has had constant fights with her husband Glenn Simpson about coming out that they are the real authors of the dossier.  Simpson has remained adamant that they can’t say that.  Jacoby decides that her name is on the Wall Street Journal article that became the dossier too.  Why should it be Simpson’s decision?  She wrote it too.  Just how it’s not the Steele dossier, it’s not the Simpson dossier either.  The most accurate name is that Simpson-Jacoby dossier since they co-wrote the article.  Satisfied with this logic, she has no trepidation to let people know the truth.  As the now president Trump loves using social media to perpetuate his views without the media’s help, she knows that she doesn’t need the media to alert the masses.  The media, undoubtedly, will help the deep state and the Democrats so she may be overridden by a government official.  The media doesn’t do anything unless a Democrat in power tells them; especially when it comes to anti-Trump material.  She goes onto her Facebook account and smiles.  The media be damned; she has social media.  She hesitates knowing that this may cause problems with her marriage.  If there’s one thing men like, however, is people stroking their ego.  She starts typing that Glenn, not Steele, should be credited for the dossier.  She drives the point home saying that Glenn conducted the investigation, Glenn hired Christopher Steele and Steele worked for Glenn not the other way around. 

Jacoby smiles as she posts it.  She then turns her head to the side and realizes that she’s not finished yet.  All she hears in the media is how Trump is finished.  They got him now.  There’s no way that Trump could survive this scandal.  Apparently Jacoby hasn’t learned from his unlikely defeat of Hillary Clinton; you can’t really count out Donald Trump.  She is calling victory way too early as he just was inaugurated.  He’s the most powerful man in the world now.  Claiming victory is premature but Jacoby believes the media.  As she has gone after Steele, she needs to attack other people who are claiming credit for her and Glenn’s work.  She remembers an article she read in yesterday’s Washington Post that CIA director John Brennan delivered a secret document to the White House.  She is almost positive the ‘secret document’ is her and Glenn’s dossier.  That is why she types, “CIA was supposed to immediately work to verify it.  By August 2016, the CIA verified the key findings of the dossier to the point that the Washington Post brought it to the White House stamped with “eyes only” in a top meeting with four people and four people only; President Barack Obama and three of his top aides.  What Jacoby has just done is let the world know that President Obama knew about the dossier in August 2016 because the CIA showed it to him.  Unbeknownst to Jacoby, this is going to put CIA director John Brennan in a tough spot.

John Brennan has been fired as CIA Director.  He, in turn, goes to the media to continue to harass and attack President Trump as a private citizen.  As conservative media has picked up on a lot of holes in the dossier, Brennan knows he has to distance himself from the document that he gave to President Obama.  He says in an interview with the media that the FISA warrant and the investigation was based on a corpus of information; not just the dossier.  Luckily for him, nobody is going to ask, ‘like what?” as an answer to that will never be found even after three years of a special counsel investigation by Robert Mueller.

John Brennan is appalled by Jacoby’s text messages and he makes some phone calls.  He’s not the only one outraged and it doesn’t take long for Jacoby to delete her Facebook posts.  As almost any millennial can tell you, however, there is no such thing as ‘deleted from the internet.’  The internet is forever and those who support the president or just believe in blind justice and fairness for all people easily find Jacoby’s texts.  Brennan is contemplating what has transpired and realizes that he needs to have more media presence.   There needs to be more distance between him and the dossier.  He arranges an interview on CNN as he wants to answer the question how it is possible that the dossier wasn’t part of the corpus of information.   There is some speculation on whether this interview is an outright lie or a play on words.  Brennan tells CNN that he didn’t see the dossier until December 2016 so it couldn’t possibly have been an impetus to start the July 2016 investigation into Trump.  Those who claim Brennan technically didn’t lie know that since he was in constant contact with Simpson and Steele, he didn’t need to read the dossier because he had the authors who could just tell them what was in it.  Others claim that although this is possible, the fact that he gave the dossier to President Obama and three other top presidential aides in August 2016, he did, in fact, lie. 

When he finishes the interview, someone close to Brennan who knows the whole story asks, “John, I don’t really understand why you’re lying or stretching the truth.  People hate this president; you can tell them the truth.  The media will back you.  Who cares if you saw the dossier; the media will gas light the masses that the dossier is authentic.  You’re distancing yourself for nothing.”

“You don’t understand”

“So explain it to me.”

“I had to lie because if the FBI knew I got my information from the dossier, then they wouldn’t have thought my information was corroborating the dossier or vice versa depending which they got first.  If they don’t think the two corroborate each other, then they don’t open an investigation into Donald Trump.  Steele is then exposed for violating his CI agreement with the FBI and Trump gets off scot-free.”

“Steele was fired as a CI anyway and Comey hates Trump just as much as you do.  If you would have just come clean with him, then you could have worked together on this.  Comey is furious.”

“I couldn’t take that risk.  This isn’t going to be the first time that the FBI has a problem with the CIA and it won’t be the last.  They may be responsible for America but America is one of most stable countries in the world.  I’m responsible for the world.”

“When you all went to the White House to coordinate and speak with one voice to the president, it showed that you were all on the same side.  You weren’t in one voice because you were withholding things from your partners.”

“The CIA and the FBI may be sister organizations, but sisters fight.”

“Alright, I’m sorry you feel that way.”

Brennan hangs up the phone.  He isn’t too annoyed by the call as he has no regrets.  Those who haven’t run an intelligence organization don’t understand what methods and strategies need to be enacted.  Not everyone had the stomach for doing what needed to be done. 

                It is now October 2019.  It has been almost three years since the FBI, CIA, and Mary Jacoby freaked out when Donald Trump became president and tried covering up and explaining their roles in the investigation.  US Attorney John Durham has been tasked by Attorney General Barr to look into the origins of Crossfire Hurricane.  It is very frustrating because the more answers they get to questions, the more questions arise from the answers.  After unraveling the very large onion, John Durham, known for being a bulldog of a prosecutor, pulls no punches and formally declares his investigation into a criminal investigation.  Conservatives from coast to coast breathe a sigh of relief.  They were losing hope that anyone involved in Spygate was going down and this gives them a beacon of possibility.  They know not to get their hopes up as this is just the starting phase.  Given the last three years of Democrats blatantly and obnoxiously proving and flaunting that they are above the laws and only Republicans are inhibited by rules, regulations and integrity, they’ll take what they can get.

                Durham hones in on Jim Comey, Jim Clapper, and Brennan as they seem to be the ring leaders in opening the investigation.  Brennan seems to be the biggest ring leader as Durham is starting to believe that he initiated the operation that misled the FBI to start a criminal and counter-intelligence operation into Donald Trump since he didn’t have any prosecutorial power.  After his announcement, he gets a call from the justice department asking if he’s going to be in need of a Grand Jury to see if indictments are in order. 

                Durham responds, “That is definitely on the table and the reason why I changed the classification to a criminal investigation but I need to make decisions on what cases I want to prioritize over which.”

                “Understandable, just keep us posted.”

                “Will do.”

                Other branches of the judicial system also have a reaction to Durham’s announcement.  The Southern District of New York, whose corruption is hinted at in the hit series Billions, is enraged as they hate Donald Trump.  As such, they hate anyone doing anything that may help him.  They complain to the NYC bar who issues a cease and desist to Attorney General Barr to recues himself from Ukraine issues.

                When Barr receives the threat for the NYC Bar he smiles.  Since he’s started the investigation, he’s had the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi threaten to arrest him and other attacks from established politicians.  There is only one explanation for this reaction; he’s getting close.  His predecessor, Jeff Sessions, gave in to the establishment’s pressure so he’s not surprised they are trying to bully him the way they bullied Sessions.  You, however, can’t keep going to the same well and not expect your strategies to be exposed.  Even Sessions isn’t the first time; didn’t Biden and Soros do the same thing in Ukraine to Shokin?  The equivalent of the Attorney General in Ukraine is the Prosecutor General.  This is what the deep state mafia-like DOJ does; threaten and intimidate.  They know they can’t do what they did in Ukraine and go through the president as he isn’t friendly to them so they go right to the source.  Barr knew when he took the job that he was in a dog fight.  He has to make a decision on if he’s still up for it.  Millions of Trump supporters are rooting for him but they aren’t faced with risking their entire career on Donald Trump winning against the deep state.  Barr figures that if Trump is successfully taken down, he’s probably in trouble anyway.  If history has proven anything, giving in to the pressure doesn’t buy you any brownie points with the vicious, unscrupulous Democrats.  The best course of action is to stay the course but it’s easy to see this when you’re not the one to suffer the ramifications of the decision.  There are very powerful people opposing Barr.  Then again, if you’re not willing to take on powerful people, you shouldn’t be Attorney General in the first place. 

                Barr calls Durham as Barr is the one that hired him.  He asks, “What specifically is the criminal investigation you’re pursuing?”

                “That the CIA intentionally misled the FBI to open the investigation.”

                “Does that mean that you believe the FBI is innocent in all this?”

                “Not at all.  They had abundant chances to make it right and constantly refused.  They went with the cover up.  They’re culpable just not as culpable as the CIA.”

                Barr laughs, “I guess only relative to Brennan does Comey look good.”

                “Precisely sir.”

                “Just out of curiosity, why do you think the FBI didn’t know?”

                “The claim is that the investigation was stimulated by Trump campaign employee George Papadopoulos meeting with a Maltese professor Joseph Mifsud in London.  Mifsud told Papadopoulos that the Russians had dirt on Hillary and voila you have Russian collusion since the FBI claimed that Mifsud is a Russian agent.”

                “I’m familiar”

                “We now know that Mifsud is most likely tied to friendly intelligence.  That’s why the meeting was in London and not a former Russian bloc country or something.”

                “Like Prague”

                It is now Durham’s turn to laugh.  He gets the reference as the dossier claimed that Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen went to Prague to meet with Russians. It is at these meetings, the dossier claims, that the plan to interfere with the election is born.  The only problem was that not only did this meeting never happen but Michael Cohen had never been to the Czech Republic capital (Prague).  He replies, “It seems the FBI wasn’t aware of this though because they asked Papadopoulos to wear a wire when he met with Mifsud.  It seems they wanted to see what this alleged Russian asset had to say and see if they could prosecute him.  In January 2017, right around the time Jacoby was spouting off on Facebook, the FBI meets with Mifsud in D.C.  After that meeting, they interview Papadopoulos again and all of a sudden they don’t care about Mifsud as they never bring him up with Papadopoulos.  It appears the FBI figured out Brennan was using them to entrap Trump without their knowledge.”

                “You may be on to something.  I was going over Lisa Page’s sworn testimony to Mark Meadows on Capitol Hill.  She legitimately seemed shocked when Meadows informed her that Brennan briefed Harry Reid and the other Gang of Eight members on Capitol Hill about information only found in the dossier in the summer of 2016.  Page declares, ‘If they had the documents that we got from our source, then I’m not aware and they didn’t reveal it to us and that would be unusual.’”

                “That would be corroborating evidence If true.”

                “She was under oath and I cleaned it up.  The actual quote is more disorganized and she stammers a little bit as she appears to be trying to make sense of what she just found out.”

                “You think it’s credible?”

                “I do.”

                “Yea, I agree.  Respectfully sir, it’s obviously your decision, but I really hope you’re beside me in this fight till the end.”

                “I haven’t let you down yet.”

                “Glad to hear that sir.”

                The tables have turned.  The Democrats came hard at President Trump and everyone in his orbit.  They did their best to punish anyone from siding with the President.  This wasn’t that good of a strategy since the President has a reputation of being a loner that has stemmed back to high school.  It was now the Republicans’ turn.  The only question is, can the Republicans be just as determined, focused and motivated as the Democrats.  The difference between the Republicans and the Democrats, however, is that the Republicans are basing their accusations on facts and data whereas the Democrats based it on a hoax and a fraudulent document.  The worst part is; they knew it was fraudulent and proceeded anyway with the same amount of zeal as if it was legitimate.
