Nouno the Vigilante Episode 3 Broken Window policy

In Chesterfield, North Carolina 29 year old, Jose Armelio Gonzalez-Flores is going out.  He’s had a pretty eventful life as he ended up in America because his parents entered illegally escaping from their home country of Guatemala.  He was too young to remember and was a beneficiary of America’s DACA program.  It is the end of August so the weather is still hot in North Carolina but the summer is coming to an end.  The last four years has seen a lot of run-ins with the law for Gonzalez-Flores.  He’s been convicted ten times but he’s quick to point out that they were all misdemeanors related to traffic violations such as driving with a suspended license and speeding.  He’s in North Carolina, however, escaping his criminal activity elsewhere as there’s an arrest warrant out for him in Hopewell for cocaine possession.  Apparently none of these run-ins with the law has deterred him from continuing as he is out for a drive on a suspended license once again.  Despite all the violations, he still enjoys driving.

The Camacho family was getting ready for the start of school as they had a seven year old and a four year old.  The four-year-old Elias Emmanuel was a typical four-year-old boy always jumping around and watching Paw Patrol and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse when he wasn’t on his I-pad.  His parents were in their mid-20s, which helped them since they were young enough to chase around their two boys who they encouraged to be rambunctious.  Their home was typical as the father contributed more to the disciplining whereas the mother nurtured and cooked for her family.   Elias’ father worked hard as seeing the woman he loves pregnant with a child lit a fire under him to provide for his family.  Right now, however, they needed to buy school supplies.  He told his kids to turn off the TV and get in the car making sure to put Elias in a car seat, which always took longer than he thought it should.  Luckily the seven year old didn’t need a car seat.  This routine trip was about to change their lives forever.

Gonzalez-Flores is driving fast as he enjoys the thrill of it.  He’s driving south of Route 150 on Belmont Rd. near Sue Jean Drive.  He has the music in his car blasting and he’s dancing in the driver seat. While focusing on the thrill of going fast, he never realizes the car he’s approaching.

The Camacho family sees a car flying toward them.  The father doesn’t even have to react as a truck slams into his.  The impact is so severe that no seatbelt or childseat is going to help them walk away from this.  In fact, 4-year-old Elias Emmanual-Camacho will die in that car on August 25, 2018.  The other three people in the car are severely injured.

Upon seeing the carnage he created, Jose panics.  He realizes that his car is still driveable but the other one Is not.  He speeds off trying to distance himself from the crash.  He calls nobody.  Luckily, someone else saw the car wreck and dialed 911.  Instead of calling 911, Jose calls his girlfriend Aura Davila and tells her to report the truck he’s driving as stolen.  After hearing the details, Davila decides that her boyfriend is not a good man and should not only not be allowed to drive but should be removed from society.  After the phone call, Davila tells the authorities about Flores.  He is convicted and sentenced to four years in jail.

Nouno and Abby are hanging out in their house in Arizona.  Nouno has become a national vigilante for immigrants that give immigrants a bad name by coming to this country to mooch off the government while committing crime.  Abby, Nouno’s wife, is in charge of researching the cases as she is very verse in Lexis Nexus and other legal search sites.  She also has contacts in law enforcement who are willing to pass along information when they watch people play the race card or the immigrant card to get out of prosecution. DACA recipients are one of the most protected groups in America.  Nouno is looking at the news and starts laughing.

                Abby says, “What’s so funny?”

“Peter Strzok is blaming the CIA for media leaks.”

                “Why is that funny?”

Well, all these people involved in Spygate are getting nervous so they’re turning on each other.  He wrote an e-mail in April 2017 about the CIA knowing the information in the dossier earlier than he thought.

“You really like this Russian collusion hoax don’t you?”

“It’s the greatest political scandal in American history! I mean it’s so good that it’s not even the Russian collusion hoax.  That is the red herring from the real scandal”
                “Which would be?”

“Obama using CIA director Brennan as his own Ray Donovan to attack his personal opponents.”

“Right but charging them and putting them in jail for process crimes”

“Well, the CIA doesn’t prosecute or arrest people.  They give information to the FBI and the FBI decides if there’s enough evidence for trial.  Appeals are expected.  As soon as Trump appointed a Director of National Intelligence all the cockroaches in the swamp FBI and DOJ panicked and started trying to cover their asses.”

Abby says, “So what is your main problem?”

“Obama targeting his opponents and leaking information to the media to cover up his spying and determining if it’s legal.”

“Why couldn’t Obama have talked to Russians for help in digging dirt on Trump?”

“I think they did, well Ukraine, but yea.  Why are you bringing it up?”

“Well, you said it didn’t have anything to do with Russia.  Why do you say that?”

“Well when Trump appointed Dan Coats as the DNI, he invited Senator Nunez to the White House to look at classified information.  When Nunuz comes out he releases a press conference where he said that the surveillance on Trump and his team had nothing to do with Russia.  It hasn’t really been released what he meant by that but he’s been spot on with the collusion hoax so far so I don’t doubt him.”

“Well Barr is supposed to be looking into that.”

“Yes, he is and he’s dropped some hints like when he asked congress if the FBI really thought the Russians were colluding and trying to steal our elections, how come there’s only two spies; Halper and Turk,”

“So, you call the whole Mueller probe and the Russian collusion narrative the greatest scandal in American history yet you praise the investigator into it when he says that it was minimalist and needed to be bigger?”

“No, that’s not what Barr meant.  Barr was hinting that he knows there were more spies.  He’s letting congress know that the gig is up, he knows this rabbit hole is deeper.”

“Let’s go back to the original point.  The FBI says the CIA leaked to the media?  Okay, that’s not good but it’s not a serious crime.”

“One, smaller crimes lead to bigger crimes.  That was Giuliani’s whole premise with broken window that cleaned up New York.”

“Let’s put a pin on that.  Is that the only problem with the CIA, the leaks?”

“No, the problem is Brennan was using his counterparts in England, Holland and elsewhere to spy on American citizens since their laws are more lax than ours.  Then, he falsified reports to a FISA court so we could spy even more.  He used the world’s intelligence community to go after Obama’s political opponents.”

                “That sounds like a conspiracy”

“Look up Emily Farkas on MSNBC.  She worked in the intelligence community under Obama and admits that they destroyed documents and evidence because Trump won the election.  They talk about how scared they were so they got rid of anything that they didn’t think Trump should know.  He’s the president-elect, he’s supposed to know everything since he’s the one that’s going to be in the office soon.  Instead, they destroyed everything they did to him.”

“Why would she be so stupid to say that on national television?”

“She’s not used to TV.  A lot of people new to TV want to impress the interviewer so badly they say shit they regret saying later.  It happens all the time.

“Okay so you think small crimes lead to big crimes”

“Giuliani proved that when he was mayor in New York.  Once cops stopped looking the other way on misdemeanors, the more serious crimes plummeted.”

“Alright, I got to think about that”

When the conversation was over, Abby started researching that.  What he found was a man in North Carolina that had 10 misdemeanor charges for various traffic violations.  She exclaimed, “How did  he not lose his license?”

She kept reading and found out that his license was suspended, he just didn’t care.  He drove anyway.  She is reading about how he plowed into a car with a family inside killing a four year old.  Her heart broke and when she found out that he was protected since he was a DACA recipient, her blood boiled.  Even President Trump didn’t go after DACA recipients contrary to the media coverage.  This only reaffirmed her position that if immigrants come here and can’t behave, they need to be sent back quickly.  She walked into the living room where Nouno was and said, “Well, I think you’re right”

Nouno turned to her and said sarcastically, “Holy shit that’s a first.”

I just read about this guy that had all these small traffic violations and misdemeanors.   He just killed a little boy in a hit and run.  What’s worse, they only gave him four years.  What is it?  One for every year the boy he killed lived!”

Nouno turned to Abby and said, “Is this a new mission?”

“Yes, it is” she said with a somber expression.

                “Alright, where are we going?”

                “North Carolina”

Abby and Nouno went to North Carolina and easily found Jose and his truck.  Nouno broke into the truck and waited in the back seat.  It didn’t take long for Jose to come out and hop into the driver’s seat.  Nouno sat up and jammed a syringe in his neck and depressed the plunger.  Jose was out almost immediately.  He pulled Jose to the passenger seat and hopped into the driver seat.  He drove Jose’s truck to the motel he was staying at.  They had placed plastic all over the bed and when Nouno got there he carried the still unconscious Jose into the motel room and Abby and he tied his limbs to the bedposts.  When Jose came to, Abby did the talking, “How could you drive again?”

                “What do you mean?”

                “You killed a 4-year-old”

“I feel really bad about that but it was an accident and I served my time.”

“You still have a suspended license.”

“So what?  I’ve been caught driving without one a lot.  They don’t really do anything”

“Don’t you think that you should be off the roads?  You have 10 traffic violations in four years and now you killed a little kid,”

“Whoa there little lady, you seem to know way too much about me.”

Nouno jumped in, “You didn’t even call the cops. You just drove away like a coward.”

“Shit, do you know what they do to minorities in jail Papi?”

“If you’re so worried about that, why do you break so many laws?”

“Man, don’t judge me.  Get me out of here!  My parents are immigrants; it’s hard to make it in this country as a minority.  Especially now because of Trump I get people tell me to speak English all the time”

“I actually don’t believe you do but that’s beside the point.  If it’s so hard to be a minority under Trump then why is high school unemployment the lowest since the Great Depression?  How come blacks and Hispanics have the lowest unemployment since the early 70s?  That’s all because of Trump.”

“Nah, he cut taxes on the rich people and screwed the poor people like me so we had to turn to crime”

“The wage growth for the10th percentile, AKA the bottom was 6.6%, which is exactly double what it was for the rich; 3.3%”

“Whoa, I don’t really like numbers.”

“Yea well, you’re not going to like this either as Nouno jammed a knife into his sternum killing him almost instantly.”

Abby helped wrap the body in plastic and they placed it in the trunk of their car and drove to a cremation place they had scouted out the day before.  They broke in and used the machine to get rid of the body.

Cremating a body is an hours long process and they needed to stay in order to clean the machine and dispose of the bones as they don’t burn.  It was a Tuesday and Abby said, “Why did the stock market crash today.”

“President Trump gave China till Friday to make a new trade deal or else get a 25% tariff.”

“Why are we doing that?  Because he wants people to buy American?”

“Yes and no, China keeps stealing out intellectual property so he wants a trade deal where they stop doing that to us.  If China isn’t going to, then we need to incentivize them and tariffs may be a necessary evil to do that.”

                “Do you think it’ll work?”

“Well, he got Europe to go with a no tariff trade with us on the same threat.  See, people fall for Trump’s bluffs all the time.  He’s never going to allow 25% tariff.  That’s always his number too; it was that number for Europe too.  Then they agree to no tariff trade.  The thing is, everyone thinks he’s crazy enough to do it so they don’t treat it like the bluff it is.”
                “Yea, I missed that”

“Me too until Europe agreed to drop their 10% tariff because Trump threatened 25.  They all think he’s crazy and he uses it against him.  He’s so unpredictable, they seem to just cave to his will because they don’t know what’s going to happen if they don’t.”

“But like everything comes from China”

“That’s why the stock market went down.  It’ll hurt us but we’ll find substitutes.  Problem is, they’ll be more expensive so we have less disposable income.  China, however, needs to export to us more than we need to import from them.  We can get other alternatives but the United States consumes 51% of the world goods.  That is a market no global merchant can do without.”

Abby and Nouno talked for a while and then the body was done.  They cleaned up and left breathing a sigh of relief nobody walked in on them.  They went to a bar and a man was saying to the TV< “You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hands.”

Nouno said, “Damn Yankees always trying to steal our guns”

Abby slapped him in the chest.  Nouno may have been born in North Carolina but he moved to Ohio when he was three and spent most of his life in New York City.  Even now living in Arizona, that’s west, which is very different from the South.  It’s not what he said, it was how he said it.  Nouno didn’t change his voice so he let his Midwestern accent shine brightly.  The man, to Abby’s surprise, laughed.

Abby said, “Sorry about my husband, he sucks at tact.”

“He’s fine Ma’ame.  In fact,  I agree with him.”

Abby smiled and said turning her head, “No politician ever said they wanted to take guns away from law abiding citizens.  They just want them registered and more in depth background checks.  Nobody talks about current gun owners.

“What I was reacting to was the damn New Jersey Senator saying that he was going to ban assault rifles.  He says not to worry because he’ll give folks amble time to hand their guns in.” the man shakes his head and continues, “He even talked about jailing folks that don’t comply.  If you thought our prisons were overcrowded now, I reckon they ain’t seen nothing yet!”

Nouno said, “His name is Corey Booker.  He’s a clown.  He kept screaming during the Kavanaugh hearing about being Spartacus.  He wanted to release classified documents that he never even asked the Senate Majority leader to declassify  Every document the Democrats asked to be declassified was met with a yes but Booker still wanted to grandstand and try to get himself more votes.  I don’t think he has any chance to win so he doesn’t matter.”

                “The whole field is crazy”

“That is true.  Hopefully the American people realize that too and Trump wins in a land slide”

                “We all do.”

Nouno and Abby returned home and went about their lives.  They never discussed what they did as they always wanted to look forward.  Truth is, it didn’t bother either one of them.  They would just go about their normal life until another story of justice not being served because of fear of protest and being called a racist needs to be rectified.
