Fanis and Kera are in their flat
in London, England. Although they live
in England, they are both Americans and very interested in politics. Today is a big day for politics as the
impeachment inquiry is out of the shadows and in the public now. Fanis knows not to expect much as Adam Schiff
and the Democrats are abusing their power to make sure that the Republicans
can’t call any witnesses thus providing a one sided argument for
impeachment. Kera despises President
Trump and eagerly watches. Fanis blurts
out, “The Republicans should do what the Democrats did in the Kavanaugh hearing
and interrupt Schiff wanting to be heard.
Then when they’re not heard and don’t get their way, motion to adjourn. They should make up documents that they just
got that they need to review before they talk to them and shut the whole system
down.”
“If you remember, the Democrats
failed and Kavanaugh was confirmed anyway.
It didn’t work so the Democrats won’t let this work either.”
“You do realize that if they are
successful and they impeach him, then it goes to Senate right? The Republicans control the Senate so they’ll
be the ones in control. Do you know what
will happen then?”
“The Democrats will try to shut
it down because we don’t believe in decorum.
The ends justifies the means for us.
No tolerance for the intolerant.”
“Like you said, it will be just
like Kavanaugh. It won’t work but now
the Republicans can call any witnesses they want. They decide what testimony gets leaked and
Hunter Biden will have to testify and there’s nothing the Democrats can do
about it.”
“Yes, they can. They’ll throw a hissy fit just like they did
last time. Corey Booker will have a
Spartacus moment again. It’ll be
entertaining”
“You mean sad”
Kera giggled, “No, I mean
entertaining”
“Also, the Senators will be
pissed because they are on the campaign trail so have to distract themselves
and stall their campaign to sit in on the hearings. They’ll be motivated to shut it down quickly
so they can campaign.”
“That just makes them more
susceptible to hissy fits.”
“Nah, during Kavanaugh was the
most united the Republicans have ever been.
I predict a repeat of that.”
“What if he actually does get
kicked out?”
“One, then we have Pence so
that’s good. Secondly, the odds of that
are very low. They need 66 votes and I’m
pretty sure they don’t have that. I
think every Republican will vote against removing him from office. That’s already 55 votes against and only 45
votes left. Also, if one Democrat votes
against removal, then you have bipartisan support against impeachment and no
bipartisan support for it. This is
possible considering during the impeachment inquiry vote, two Democrats voted
against it and no Republican voted for it.”
“I guess it’ll just have to play
out. In the mean time, we got to go.”
“Where to?”
“Prague.”
“Oh cool. I could use a beer.”
“And the pints here aren’t
okay?”
“It is but Prague drinks one
pint per capita; the most in the world.”
“It’s also the most atheistic
country.”
“Yes, but it’s beautiful”
They pack their things and head
to Prague. While on the plane, Kera is
watching CNN and remarks, “Oh look Eric Swalwell”
Fanis responds, “You mean the
guy that got like no votes when he tried to run for president. He failed absolutely miserably.”
“Yea, him. He says the Trump abused his power by firing
the Ukrainian ambassador and asking a foreign government to investigate a
political opponent.”
“Well, Obama asked Australia and
England to investigate Trump. Also, the
five eyes is asked to investigate things all the time on our behalf, it’s kind
of the whole point of the Woods procedure; vet information through New Zealand,
Australia, Canada and England to make sure that it’s authentic. The president appoints the Ambassador and his
job is to dictate foreign policy. If an
ambassador refuses to enact his foreign policy and, instead, pushes their own,
then yes the president should be able to fire them. Nothing he says resembles a rational
thought.”
“Are you calling him a liar?
“Yes, he’s a liar that’s just
making shit up.”
They land in Prague and check
into an Air BNB five minutes from the main plaza with the famous astronomical
clock. It has just recently been
renovated and despite being the least religious country in the world, the clock
still has an apostle show up every hour as it circles around. It is probably one of the coolest clocks in
the world even though it’s not as famous as Big Ben of Fanis and Kera’s
residing country. They go to the
cathedral and tour a chapel built in the 900s.
Being in a building built over a thousand years ago is still not lost on
the well travelled cousins. They sit at
a café and drink the local beer. They
turn in early as Kera has an early meeting to negotiate a deal for Chinese artifacts
as that is her profession. Fanis is only
along as a bodyguard as he knows nothing about Chinese antiques. While there, Fanis introduces himself to the
other bodyguards for the people Kera is negotiating with. It’s been his experience that foreigners love
talking about American politics. Fanis
asks him his name and he responds, “Voclav”
“I’m Fanis”
“Nice to meet you.”
“Likewise”
“What do you think of Trump?”
“I support him.”
“Yea, I like him too.”
“Really? That’s interesting”
“I don’t know why Americans have
a problem with a president who cares more about America than any other
country.”
“Yea, I got no answers for you.”
“I need to ask you. You have the Intelligence guy Clapper, CIA
Brennan and FBI Comey that keep telling people that they opened the
investigation on July 30, 2016.”
“Wow, Spygate. Most people talk about the Whistleblower but
yes, I am familiar.”
“Do you believe that?”
“Well based on you asking me
that, I can tell you don’t. I also
don’t. I think they only said that so
they can deny everything that happened before that.”
“Like…”
“May when George Papadopoulos
met with Joseph Mifsud, May 10 when Downer met with Papadopoulos, stuff like
that.”
“Clapper was in Australia in March 2016”
“That’s where Downer is from”
“I know and they opened the
investigation because Downer told the intelligence community that Papadopoulos
told him the Russians had dirt on Hillary.”
“That’s a little
coincidental. Seems like our
intelligence community was using the five eyes, not to vet information, but to
circumvent the intelligence community to get information into the FBI through
non-intelligence or official channels.”
“I think they set up
Papadopoulos”
“I don’t have any doubt about
that. I know they did. That’s why he got arrested at 2AM on a tarmac
in D.C. They planted the exact amount of
cash that needs to be declared on him.
The only problem was he was smart enough not to bring it.”
“Why doesn’t your media report
on this?”
“They’re all propaganda agents
for the Democrat party. The New York
Post though did have an article that said ‘how a wine-soaked meeting in London
sparked the Mueller probe.” That talks about the suspiciousness of it.
“What did they say was
suspicious?”
“If Downer met with Papadopoulos
on May 10, why did Downer wait until July 26 to tell the FBI?”
“Do you have any theories on
this?”
“It’s the same time that
Wikileaks released the e-mails.”
“You think they’re related?”
“Yes, the Democrats knew that
the Wikileaks drop was damaging to them so they distracted the country with the
Russian collusion hoax. Also, Democrats
love blaming Republicans for things they do.
We call that ‘projection.’ They
are the masters of it. By releasing the
Papadopoulos conversation with Downer at the same time, people will link
Wikileaks to Papadopoulos and Trump when they really have nothing to do with each other?”
“When was the Wikileaks e-mail
released?”
“July 22”
“Four days before Downer and
Papadopoulos conversation was released.”
Kera finished her deal and Fanis
and Voclav shake hands and depart ways.
They leave the tourist area to get some lunch as they know from
experience that all the street food and restaurants in the tourist area are
horrendous. Most tourists when they
return from Prague talk about how bad the food is but that’s only because they
don’t take five minutes to go into a non-tourist area. They stick to eating tin main plazas. They walk the Charles Bridge then rent a car
and drive an hour away to a small town called Kunta Hora. Kunta Hora is an old silver mining town with
a large cathedral and a small church. On
the outside, the church doesn’t look too interesting but the basement has
various monuments and structures built out of human bones during a war between
the Catholics and Protestants. It is a
macabre site that inspires awe as every bone in the human body is represented
in one of the monuments. There are even
royal crests and seals made of bones.
For this reason, it is known as the’ bone church.’ Even on the outside, skulls can be found in
the dirt as they dig for more excavation.
Unlike Prague, Kunta Hora does
not have many tourists walking around.
They go to a restaurant and have duck and, naturally, craft beer of the
restaurant, which is very common in Czech restaurants. As they leave the restaurant, Kera wants to
tour a silver mine. Fanis agrees and
they go into the mine. Unbeknownst to
them, they are being followed. They
separate as they look at different parts of the mine and some things interest
one more than the other so they move on quickly.
As Kera is touring the mine, she
feels an arm grab her from behind. At
first she thinks it’s Fanis so she moans out of annoyance, “Dude, you’re not
going to be able to scare me.”
As she turns around, she proves
herself wrong as she sees a man she doesn’t recognize. She squirms but the guy has a strong grip on
her biceps. He tosses her to the ground
and straddles her butt holding her face down.
He rubs her hair and states, “You Americans always trying to use our
country as a breeding ground for your dirty deals. I’m not going to put up with it anymore. I need to teach you a lesson.”
Kera turns her head to the side
and screams out, “FANIS!!!!”
Her scream is cut short as the
Czech’s hand slaps against her mouth.
Kera figures that there’s no way her cousin and bodyguard didn’t hear
her. The man scolds, “If you scream
again, I’ll kill you. We are deep underground;
nobody can hear you as people don’t come down here. Especially since after you came in here, I
had the guard close it.”
Fanis heard Kera scream and came
running. He found Kera being pinned down
and rage filled him. He called out, “You
better get off my cousin, or we’re going to have some problems”
The man got up and charged
Fanis, which he wasn’t expecting. Fanis
got tackled to the ground and now the man’s forearm was draped across his
throat as he lay to the side applying his body weight on Fanis’ neck. The man declared, “We have problems now. Do you know how corrupt your president Obama
was? Let me tell you about Presidential
Directive 41. It was written on July 26,
2016, the same day that the Papadopoulos/Downer meeting was released. It coordinated cyber-problems with foreign
governments to investigate cyber incidents.
You protecting that dirty girl definitely means we have problems.”
Fanis could feel his body fight
for air but he couldn’t squirm. He knew
his face was going blue and only hoped that Kera used this time to get
away. Fanis knew that grabbing his arm
and trying to pull the arm away would be fruitless so he grabbed the man’s
wrist and pushed down putting him in a very painful wrist lock. This forced the man to break the hold and
yank his arm away from his neck. Fanis
jumped up and grabbed the man by the throat and drove him to the wall of the
mine. He snapped back, “I know all about
Anthony Ferrante, the point man of the directive. He was the Cyber incident Response person for
the US National Security Council (NSC) at the White House. It is here he coordinated unfolding domestic
problems, which led to the directive.”
The man chopped both his arms
against Fanis’ arm and grabbed the back of Fanis head and sidestepped him as he
slammed Fanis’ face into the wall. As he
did, he wrapped his right arm around Fanis’ neck trying to interlock his hand
on his shoulder. Fanis wrapped his leg
around the man’s leg trying to get behind him but the grip made it
difficult. Now it was a war of
attrition, either Fanis would get behind him or the man would drag Fanis in
front of him so he could lock in the chokehold.
The man seethed, “A watchdog tries to file a FOIA lawsuit against the
FBI over spies in the White House.
Ferrante was the spy for Comey as they were friends.”
Fanis in shortened breath as he
was expending a lot of energy responded back, “Ferrante was hired by Buzzfeed,
which leaked the Steele dossier.”
Fanis was able to drop his
weight and scooped up the man’s legs and fell back slamming his head against
the ground. Both men rose to their
feet. The Czech charged him but this
time Fanis expected it and dropped his body to the side sticking his right leg
out. He then kicked at the back of the
man’s leg with his left tripping him.
Fanis dropped his right knee on his bottom and held his head down, “I
believe this is the position you had my cousin.
Not so fun is it? Everyone knew
about the Wikileaks drop and that Papadopoulos was a set up. Ferrante is less known. What’s your point?”
For good measure, Fanis gripped
his hair and picked up his head and slammed it against the ground. The man reached back and jammed his finger in
Fanis’ eyes. Fanis got up and kicked the
man in the head but he got up anyway.
“Do you know about the Strzok/Page texts?”
Fanis looked around and realized
that Kera was gone, which is what he wanted.
He answers, “Yea, the day after the Downer meeting, May 11, Strzok texts
page about something to do with the Deputy Director and how pissed Andy McCabe,
their boss is. There was something about
the secret service too.”
“Yea, it’s about setting up
Papadopoulos”
“Well, it’s redacted so we don’t
really know but given that it happened the day after the conversation, that’s
probably what they were talking about.”
Fanis took two steps forward and
put his entire weight behind a punch anticipating the man to charge again. Charge he did and the punch hit him squarely
in the nose knocking him back and his eyes dazed at the sudden change in
direction. Fanis mounted him and grabbed
him by the throat, “Why are we talking about this?”
“Steele involved Czech Republic
as the colluding ground with the Russians.
Michael Cohen had never been here but people keep coming to
investigate. You involved us and we
don’t want your kind here. There is no
dirty dealings in the Czech Republic.”
Fanis punched him in the face
with the hand not on his throat, “What does that have to do with my cousin?”
“She was in a meeting with shady
characters. She’s using my country for
illegal deals.”
Fanis punched him again and
lifted his head so that it would snap back against the ground. He yelled, “She was just selling Chinese
art.” Fanis kept punching him in rapid succession taunting him, “this is for
attacking an innocent girl you piece of shit.”
Soon, Fanis realized he was
punching an unconscious man. He got up
and walked out of the mine. As he got
back to the hotel, Kera noticed his bloody nose. She handed him a napkin and inquired, “Are
you okay?”
“Yea, I’m fine.”
The next day, they walk the
replica of Charles Bridge, which isn’t on a bridge at all as it’s right outside
a cathedral that seems oddly placed in the middle of a field and not a
city. As the cathedral has been used for
many different Christian sects, there are murals from Jesuits, Catholics and
Protestants and seals for every level of laborer. There are flying buttresses that go three
fourths of the way down the front only to stop.
If you’re looking for a meaning, it’s simply that they ran out of money
to finish it. They take pictures of a
statue that was taken down by the NAZI’s and the Communists but was constantly
rebuilt. After their day, they go back
to Prague and go to a bar named as a psychology center to give the appearance
that it’s a place to meet with a therapist.
Really, the therapist is a masked bartender. It’s an eerie vibe but enhances the drinking
experience. The next day, they get on a
plane back to London. On the way back,
Kera poses, “That guy kept talking about the origins of the investigation. Devin Nunes released a statement that the key
to the case is that they’re lying about it being opened on July 31.”
“Yes, that is correct. He is the leader of exposing the truth about
Russian collusion.”
“So when does Nunes think it
was?”
“In the spring.”
“Why is he bringing it up now?”
“The NSC, FBI and CIA colluded
to try to take down Trump and blame him for stuff they’re guilty of; colluding
with a foreign country to bring down a political opponent.”
“Why now?”
“I’m getting there. The Whistleblower works for the NSC just like
Anthony Ferrante who spied on the Trump White House as a Cyber intelligence
guy. All of this comes out of the
NSC. Just as how collusion was to cover
up the devastating information Wikileaks had about Hillary, the impeachment
inquiry is to distract the county from the damning information the IG report is
going to reveal. It’s the same players
for the same reasons. Collusion was to
cover up the Wikileaks and impeachment covers up the IG report.”
“I’m sorry I asked.”
“I know you are because you
didn’t get the answer you wanted.”
“No, it’s not that, I just don’t
believe in conspiracies.”
“Despite overwhelming evidence
to the contrary.”
“It’s all circumstantial”
‘Cases are built on
circumstantial evidence. The whole point
is to get enough circumstantial evidence that it becomes clear that it can’t
all be circumstantial and coincidence.
That’s when you get in the realm of ‘beyond a reasonable doubt.”
“Oh okay” Kera blurted out
sarcastically
The conversation switched to
less serious matters and Fanis and Kera were glad to be home safe.
