Larry the Billionaire episode 14 Sticking it to the Government

                Larry was a billionaire that wasn’t very good with women and never wanted a wife.  With that said, he did get urges from time to time.  When the itch got too large, he would hang out in bars and eavesdrop on conversations.  His approach was very direct.  He never directly offered money. Instead, he waited to hear someone complain about a problem that money could solve.  He wanted to hear desperation in their voice or a willingness to ‘do anything’ for it.  He wanted to put that theory to the test.  He himself didn’t have expensive tastes so this was his way of splurging.

                Nikki is a girl around 5’8” with tanned skin, luscious lips and a thin body.  Although she’s not curvaceous, she has an innocent elegance to her look that attracts men.  She has shoulder length dark brown hair.  Even though she’s at the bar with a friend, it’s not for social purposes.  The friend is trying to be supportive but Nikki is almost inconsolable.  Her father has just pled guilty to a crime he didn’t commit.  She states through tears, “I mean, I know why he’s doing it.  They threatened to prosecute my brother for things he did.  It’s just that, you know, we sold our house to try to pay for the court case but you can’t compete with the awesome power of the government.  I mean the government is worth 20 Trillion dollars and obviously has no problem going into debt.  How can anyone compete with that?!”

                “Well how much were the legal fees up to now?”

                “A million dollars.”

                “Holy shit, what is he being accused of?”

                “He talked to a Russian and the FBI was recording the conversation.  Seven months later they interviewed him about the conversation and it didn’t match the transcript exactly so they charged him with lying to the FBI”

                “That doesn’t make sense.  I wouldn’t even be able to say what you just told me verbatim”

                “It gets worse.  The FBI agents that interviewed him said they didn’t think he was being deceptive.  It was the people at the upper echelons that forced the charges.”

                “Can’t the President do anything about this?”

                “No, he’s too worried that anything he does will make the congress impeach him for obstruction.  I mean defending the President is the right thing but you’re on your own if you do.  The Democrats charge people all the time but the investigation into the investigators goes at glacial pace and I’m pretty sure they’ll all get off.  It’s like the mob.  Capone got away with murders, money laundering, extortion etc. etc. but not for tax evasion. The Democrats get away with all the heinous crimes and the President can’t even say publicly he doesn’t like that he’s being investigated for something he didn’t do without being accused of obstruction.”

                “Well Pelosi said that if Trump loses in 2020, then she wants to see him in jail.”

                “She’s just saying that so the far left in congress stop harassing her to impeach.”

                “You don’t think she will?”

                “There’s no evidence.  That’s what the Mueller probe found.  As a matter of fact, they found that they have no evidence that any American colluded with Russians not just President Trump.  It’s not that the President didn’t commit the crime; it’s that there wasn’t a crime in the first place for anyone to commit.  She’d be laughed out of court if she tried to prosecute him once he’s out of office.”

                “Well how can you be against Pelosi saying that but not Trump saying to lock up Hillary?”

                “There was a crime with Hillary.  80% of the DNC servers were being used by private contractors without authorization.  Confidential information did go through her private server.  None of this is disputed.  The DNC server was hacked but the FBI wasn’t allowed to search the servers.  Instead, she outsourced it to a company called Crowdstrike to inspect them.  Her blackberries really were destroyed so investigators couldn’t see what the e-mails contained.  There really wasn’t a very thorough investigation on this.  The President, it was over 600 days and 35 million dollars with hundred of subpoenas.  Hillary was like a couple weeks with almost no subpoenas.”

                “Why not go to social media?”

                “All the platforms discriminate against conservatives”

                “What are you talking about?  Trump is on Twitter all the time!  Now you’re just making conspiracies”

                “Trump is the President.  Look at Stephen Crowder.  Has has one of the most successful youtube channels and he got demonetized because the owner of Vox got offended.”

                “I’m not familiar with that story.”

                “Conservative podcasts and videos are constantly banned for what social media and the left pretend is hate speech.  They are constantly demonetized”

                “What does that mean to be demonetized?”

                “You can put your video up but you’re not allowed to make any money off it.”

                “Oh, and who’s doing this?”

                “A guy named Carlos Maza.  He’s not happy with demonetizing, he wants Crowder off YouTube completely for making fun of him.  This is the same asshole that told his followers to attack conservatives in public with milkshakes.  He wants them to be afraid to go out in public.  That is real hate speech!”

                “Alright well, I’m sorry to hear about your dad”

                “Thank You”

                “Can you set up a GoFundMe page?”

                “GoFundMe has a policy that they don’t raise money for legal cases.  Some get through but my dad doesn’t want any help.  He’s very stubborn.  I would do anything to get back at these assholes and get him out of jail.”

                Larry walked over to Nikki after hearing his cue.  He said, “How old are you?”

                Nikki said, “33, why?”

                “You don’t look 33.  You look much younger.”

                Nikki gave a wry smile and responded, “Thank you but I’m really not in the mood to be hit on right now.  It’s been a rough day.”

                “I know, I heard.  Your dad had to sell his house to take care of legal fees and it didn’t even work because he is forced to plead guilty because he’s running out of money and they’re threatening to go after your brother.”

                Nikki fired back in an obviously annoyed voice, “Well, creepo, I’m glad you were eavesdropping on a private conversation I was having.”

                “What if I was here to offer you a way to pay your dad’s legal fees and get back at the government?”

                Nikki’s tone softened and she pronounced, “I’m listening”

                “You said you’d do anything to have the money to fight this.”

                “Yea but my dad doesn’t want to.”

                “He doesn’t have to.  You can sue on his behalf for harassment.”

                “Why would you help me?”

                “For one, I hate the government.  I’m a conservative so sticking it to the government is always fun.  Two, it sounds like what they did to your father was reprehensible and they should pay for it.  Three, well, that’s what we need to discuss because it’s not free.  You have to do something for me.”

                “And what would that be?”

                “Fuck me”

                Nikki’s friends said, “Alright weirdo, get the fuck out of here asshole.”

                Larry shrugged his shoulders and handed Nikki his card, “Let me know if you want to take me up on my offer” and walked out of the bar.

                Nikki buried her head in her hands and declared, “I didn’t need that right now!”

                Her friend opined, “I’m sorry, guys can be assholes.”

                “Seriously”

                While they were talking, Nikki slipped the card into her purse.  When the night was over she waited till the next day so she was sober.  She called the number at 10:00AM and said, “Umm, so the card says your name is Larry.”

                “It is”

                “We met yesterday at the bar”

                “I know who this is.  I don’t give out that card a lot.”

                “You do realize we’re talking about seven figure amounts.”

                “Yes I do and I’m worth much more than seven figures.”

                “I’m not unopposed to your offer.”

                “Just keep in mind that if you agree, your body belongs to me.  I can do whatever I want to it.  I’m not going to use any foreign objects and you won’t need medical attention when we’re done.  Before doing this, we will both get tested to make sure we’re both clean.  If you are not, then the deal’s off.”

                “And if you’re not?”

                “Well that’s up to you wouldn’t it be?”

                “The deal’s off if you’re not”

                “I was actually hoping you’d say that.”

                “You’re saying once I say ‘yes’ I can’t back out?”

                “I’m not a rapist but keep in mind if you abuse your veto power, I may not go through with my end.  It will be a case by case.  Speak up if you’re against me doing something and I’ll tell you if it’s a deal breaker or not.  I’m pretty reasonable but this is a lot of money I’m spending to help you.”

                “Where is this going to happen?”

                “At a hotel.”

                “Okay, I agree.”

                Larry and Nikki went to the doctor to get tested and everything turned out clean.  When the day arrived to make the transaction, Nikki said, “I don’t want to feel like a prostitute.  Can we get dinner first?  I know it costs you more money but I mean I don’t think it’s that much more.”

                “That’s fine” and picked a nice restaurant. 

They sat and ate as Nikki wore a halter top dress that she didn’t have the breasts for and a pendent necklace with more make up than she had originally.  Larry was dressed in a T-shirt and shorts as it was June and hot outside.  Nikki started off by stating, “Did you hear Christopher Steele is testifying?”

“Yes, but he’s already limiting them to what topics to talk about and not to ask him about other things.  I’m not a big fan of that.”

“I’m just glad you know who he is.”

“His dossier is responsible for all this spying”

                “Right, he’s worried that the Inspector General Harrowitz is going to throw him under the bus.”

                “See, he’s already manipulating the media into being biased against Harrowitz.  If the IG finds that Steele is culpable, people will be like, ‘wow Steele predicted that he would do this to him’ it’s shameful.”

                “Right, I didn’t think of that.  What do you think he’ll say?  I mean why is he doing this?”

                “He will acknowledge that the dossier is false but he’ll blame the FBI for using it and not verifying it.  He’ll keep referencing that he was being paid by a political organization to dig up oppositional research.  It’s not his fault the FBI used it”

                Nikki nodded her head and spoke in a defeated voice, “And the FBI will blame him for lying and back and forth they’ll go.”

                “Yup”

                “Phil Mudd says it’ll be a train wreck when Steele testifies.  He warned him not to go to the FBI because it won’t end well.”

                “Sounds like Mudd is afraid of him testifying.  He’s threatening him that they will come after him if he testifies.  It’s a warning.  They’ll do that just like what they did to your dad.”

                “What do you think they will ask him?”

                “A lot of things but I’m most interested in why Steele told the DOJ worker Kavalec that Cohen went to Prague but eight days later a memo that was part of the dossier said they didn’t know where they met.  I mean he either forgot or he didn’t write the dossier.”

                “Who do you think did?”

                “Glenn Simpson”

                “Of Fusion GPS.  Right because it reads like an article he wrote when he worked for the Wall Street Journal.  “How Lobbyists Help Ex-Soviets Woo Washington” April 19, 2007.

                “That’s the one”

                “I don’t know, Bruce Ohr and various DOJ officials were so complicit with this hoax to take down a duly elected President that I’m not sure Kavalec is so innocent either.”

                “What do you mean?  I mean she was investigating his claims and had damning information like when he claimed that the Russians were being paid out of the embassy in Miami.  It was Kavalec that said there is no embassy in Miami.  She was also checking travel records and there’s a part redacted right around where she writes the words ‘Prague’ and ‘Cohen.’  I’m guessing the redaction is that Cohen has never been to Prague; so the FBI knew.”

                Nikki retorted, “The Miami embassy didn’t appear in the FISA or the Dossier.  Was this not an interview but an exchange of information?”

                Larry’s eyes darted up as he contemplated this and gleamed as it sank in.  He cried out, “Holy shit, this may be worse than I thought.  They could have been working with him to make his story more credible.  It’s not a bad theory.  Very possible.”

                The dinner continued and then ended.  Larry paid the check and asked, “Are you ready to go upstairs now?”

                Nikki sighed and declared, “Yes”

            “Who cares?  They hate him anyway.  They attack him with such vitriol every day he needs stop caring what they might make up.  The whole point of what they do is they make it up.  If you make it up then anything you say is fuel.  You might as well do what’s right for the country as they attack you.”

            “Well Congress has oversight on the president.  That’s why they want his financial records”

            “No they don’t.  They have impeachment power and power over legislation.  They don’t have oversight power over the president.  That’s not how the constitution works.  They have no right to tell him to reveal his financial data.  They can’t keep anything secret anyway.”

            “I actually agree with you.  Once Trump became President, Congress has made up what rules they have.”

            “They’re police state tyrants”

            “Right, which is what we’re going to fight”

            “Yes it is”

            “It’s funny, they call the President the tyrant.  I mean he deregulated and cut taxes for everyone”

            “Except the rich that support high taxes”

            “What do you mean?”

            “The cap on deducting your property taxes.  Before it was limitless now it’s capped at $10,000, which is only really applicable in New York and California.  The rich people who didn’t vote for him.”

            “Wow, I never realized that.”

            “Also, he no longer lets actors write off their expenses when they’re on location filming movies.”

            “It does sound a little petty.  I didn’t know about that though.”

            “No it’s not; he exposes them as hypocrites when they fight back.  Both New York liberals and the Actor unions are lobbying and complaining to get these deductions back.  It just proves that when they say they like Bernie and are willing to pay high taxes, they’re not.  They want other people to pay higher taxes.”

            “Like you said hypocrites”

            “Exactly”

            “Liars too; they claim that government spending picks people up but it doesn’t help anyone.  They just waste money”

            “It’s worse than that; it pushes them back up if they try to get up.  Look at welfare, you get barely above the line, they take it all away and people leave their jobs to get their welfare or child care back.  They push you back down”

            “That and they steal from you.  I mean look at Social Security and Medicare, it’s the ultimate Ponzi Scheme”

            “Yea, if you’re 55 or younger, you’re not getting Medicare or Social Security when you retire.  The money was spent.  It was stolen from us unapologetically.  It should just be shut down.  I know people have put a lot of money into it but the money is gone.  It was spent on worthless shit.  Hell 35 million of it was paid on the Mueller probe.  It’s time to cut our losses.”

            They turned on the TV and saw Trump giving a speech at Normandy Beach as it was the 75^th anniversary of D-Day.  As he turned to a group of elderly veterans that Larry and Nikki assumed were in D-Day, a man about 90 years old struggles to his feet and salutes the President.  It was a powerful moment. 

                Larry and Nikki went to sleep.  The next morning they went their separate ways and Larry hired the best lawyer he could find in Washington to overturn the conviction.  It took a lot of money as the Attorney General Barr was involved to declassify key documents.  The DOJ and FBI actually disobeyed the direct order that effectively came from the president.  With the threat of being fired as it is obviously insubordination, the documents were revealed and it led to an overturning of the conviction.  Many former high ranking officials of the FBI went down.  Obviously the media covered it up but Nikki didn’t care as she had her father back.  As she wrapped her arms around her father in a warm loving embrace, she thought of the man that made it all possible. 

                Nikki still had the card and called the number.  Larry answered hesitantly and Nikki said, “Hi, it’s Nikki”

                “Oh hi, why are you calling? Our arrangement is over.”

                Nikki’s voice became more hesitant as she uttered, “Well, I wanted to change that.  My end of the deal was very brief and I feel like I owe you more.”

                “You don’t owe me anything.  We made a deal, it’s over.  No need to feel guilty.”

                “Fine, then I want to do it.  Not because I owe you but I want to do it.  I’m not asking you to date me.  No dinner this time.  Just meet me at the hotel.”

                “It’s not necessary.”

                “You know you never told me how old you were.”

                “I’m 35”
