Nouno the Vigilante Episode 23 Unite as Americans

Enrique is living in Santa Cruz, California.  His places to live are a little limited as he crossed the border into California from Mexico illegally.  At 23, he his young and could make a life in America through hard work if he so chooses.  That, however, is not the choice he wanted to take.  He has been arrested twice a month a couple weeks apart. The first one was on 3/29/18. He was in an argument with his wife and attacked her.  The Santa Cruz police arrested him and he was charged with inflicting corporal injury on a spouse.  As he was processed, if didn’t take long for ICE to catch wind of it and they issued a detainer to deport Enrique since he came to this country to commit crimes.

Santa Cruz, being a sanctuary city, ignored the retainer.  They quickly released Enrique so that it was harder for ICE to find him as the mayor and police commissioner forbid local law enforcement from aiding ICE in any way.  ICE is reluctant to supersede their authority because since ICE wear plain clothes, it’s not uncommon that uniformed local police involve in fire or confrontations with ICE thinking that they are criminals.  This puts ICE in a tough situation since if they don’t tell local law enforcement, then the possibility of friendly fire and in-fighting is higher.  If, however, they do warn local law enforcement, they petition the federal government and hide the illegal immigrant criminal.

Enrique can’t believe his luck.  He thought he was in trouble when he got arrested but he was released from jail simply because he was an illegal alien and California, including Santa Cruz, cares more about illegal immigrants than American citizens or the country’s sovereignty.  As is true for most people, especially in their early 20s, once they realize that there are no ramifications or consequences for their actions, they are more prone to do it again. Just 13 days after being arrested, he’s back in jail charged again with inflicting corporal injury on his spouse.  Apparently, Santa Cruz doesn’t care that Enrique’s wife is being beaten.  Since Enrique is an illegal immigrant, he is free to beat his wife as much as he wants.

On January 16, 2019, Enrique has graduated to an assault with a deadly weapon and a DUI. This time, he’s going to be on the radar of people who don’t give a damn about procedure or the local law enforcement of Santa Cruz.

Nouno and Abby are a married couple in Arizona.  They are vigilantes that target people that the system has failed to prosecute.  Unfortunately, this usually means illegal immigrants.  Abby picks the cases but they execute them together.  Abby, like most millennials is on her phone but is surprised that Nouno is as well.  Nouno is nine years older than Abby but he isn’t a very big tech guy.  She calls out to him, “Whatcha looking at?  Did you finally discover social media?”

“No, I’m just reading about the Russian collusion hoax”

“Oh God, give it up.  Most people know it didn’t happen”

“They still want to impeach Trump for it”

“A couple of Democrats but not many.  The most important ones like Schumer and Pelosi are vehemently against it.”

“The problem is they do it a lot.  By exposing how often they try it, then the public will roll their eyes and not take them seriously when they do it again.”

                “When?  Not if?”
                “That’s right”

“So when did they do it before?”

                “Against McCain”

“So, Obama got elected because they took down McCain with Russian collusion?”

“No, remember who they thought was running then”

                “I don’t remember”

“Hillary was neck and neck with Obama in the primaries.  Obama won the nomination but some people thought it was going to be Hillary that won it.”

“I think I did know that actually.

“It didn’t stick because Bush didn’t let them use the NSA database and put a stop to it before it got to the intelligence community.  The problem Trump had was that Obama was president and welcomed spying and using the NSA database for his friend Hillary Clinton”

“Do you have any evidence of this?”

“Yes, McCain’s team was warned when people thought to be tied to Russia reached out to him.  There was a defensive briefing telling him to watch out for these guys.  It’s the opposite of entrapment.  The intelligence community did their job and protected a presidential candidate from being corrupted or tricked by Russian operatives.”

“I’m guessing Trump wasn’t extended the same courtesy?”

“No, because the intelligence community wanted him to fall for it so they could entrap and take him down with it.”

“Well, if you’re right than that is troubling but I just can’t believe that our justice department would do that.”

“Oh, honey.  So young and naïve to think that everyone is so good and nice”

“Well, according to your timeline, when you were my age they were.”

“Yes, that is true but it’s really because a Republican was president.  Like right now the DOJ couldn’t do that to a candidate because Trump would stop it.”

                “When he’s not a target”

“Well, I guess it would be if he was already re-elected and closing out his second term.”

                “Anyway, we got a case”

                “Where are we going?”

                “Santa Cruz”

“Maybe we should just move to California.  It appears our work takes us there a lot”

“Do you really want to live in California?”

“Yea, good point.  West coast people are weird”

Abby makes the flight reservations and about a week later, Abby and Nouno are on a plane to Santa Cruz.  Abby turns to Nouno, “So, I’ve been looking into what you said last week.  Jim Geraghty of national review says that if we think it’s okay for Trump to use foreign power to investigate the Democrats then it’s just a matter of time when the Democrats use it against their rivals”

“That has nothing to do with McCain.  You’re talking about Ukraine”

“Right, but it’s the same concept.  Going to a foreign power to investigate your political opponent.”

“You really missed my point last week then.  I guess I didn’t explain it well.  The Democrats already did that.  Steele colluded with the Russians to take down Trump and McCain.  Biden, Hillary and Alexandra Chalupa colluded with Ukraine to dig up dirt on Paul Manafort who was Trump’s campaign manager so it was done to hurt Trump.  So, Geraghty is right except he has it in reverse.  Hillary and Obama did it and everyone thought it was not a big deal so, by his logic, it should be okay for Trump to do it”

“Two wrongs don’t make a right”

“You said it wasn’t wrong when Obama and Hillary did it.”

“I did not! I said if it was true it would be bad.”

“Right, I think you did say that.  Doesn’t matter because this is different”

“Are you going to contradict yourself and say it was okay for Trump but not for Obama and Hillary?”

“No, Trump isn’t asking them to investigate.  He’s asking them about an investigation they have already done.  It’s like sharing information not collecting or investigating it.”

                “You’re splitting hairs”

“I am not.  There’s a difference if you pay someone to investigate for you rather than ‘oh hey, you already looked into this, what did you find?’  I mean this is not only common for allies to exchange information but it’s actually required by the FBI and CIA.  It’s called the Woods procedure where we share our intelligence with the five eyes; Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand and the United States, to vet it and see if it’s true.”

“I get what you’re saying but MSNBC claims Trump has no evidence that Biden pressured Ukraine to fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin”

“What are you talking about?  Biden is on tape bragging about it.  Look it up.  January 26, 2018 Council for Foreign Relations event.  You have to fast forward to like minute 52.”

Abby pulls it up and starts at minute 45.  She hears Biden actually bragging about it and telling it as if it’s a humorous story that he pressured the Ukrainian president at the time, Porchenko, to fire their inspector general before he leaves in six hours or else Ukraine won’t get the billion dollars in aid that the US promised”

“But, why would MSNBC say that then?”

“Because it’s fake news” Theo yelled then lowered his voice, “How many times do I have to tell you?”

                “I will never believe that”

“Well, that’s your problem.  If you refuse to believe that you’ll constantly be confused why they say shit like that.”

“But, if mainstream media is leftist, as you claim, wouldn’t they not like Biden for being a moderate?  They would report on it”

“They support the person who’s further left of who they’re reporting on.  Biden vs. Trump; defend Biden.  Biden vs. Bernie Sanders; defend Bernie.  Bernie vs. Kamala Harris, Defend Kamala Harris because she’s black and a woman so gets those cards.”

“Whatever, I just think it’s weird that nobody commented on it.  You say that this whistleblower story was a mistake because it drew attention to Ukraine where Biden, Hillary and Chalupa colluded with the Ukrainians to take down Trump.  Why did they not make the mistake again?”

“I hate giving them clicks but you won’t let this go”

                “What do you mean?”

“Go to 1/11/17 article in Politico that is very subtly entitled, “Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump backfires”

Abby does so and reads on that Kiev officials are trying to make amends after openly aiding Hillary Clinton.  She comments, “Oh shit, they bet on the wrong horse so now they’re like, ‘my bad, sorry Mr. President congratulation that you won anyway”

                “Right”

“Alright, now you have some credibility.  Very succinctly, what happened?”

“Ukraine was giving Manafort information to DNC operative Alexandra Chalupa who in turn gave it Michael Isikoff at Yahoo news so that he could leak it to hurt Donald Trump since Manafort was his campaign manager at the time.”

                “Fine”

“That’s all you have to say?”

“Yea, it failed so who cares?”

“There needs to be consequences for their actions so they don’t do it again”

                “I don’t disagree”

                “Fine”

Nouno and Abby land in Santa Cruz and check into the hotel.  The next couple of days will consist of canvassing the area for crematoriums and Abby will hack into Enrique’s social media presence to see what his habits are.  What made her job easier is that once illegal immigrants realized they were protected, they didn’t really try to cover their tracks.  The whole point of sanctuary cities is to make illegals not have to live in the shadows.  Abby figures out a good time to nab Enrique.  They drive to the location they know he’s going to be at but doesn’t have many people around.

Nouno exits the car and sees Enrique.  He addresses him in Spanish as Nouno is fluent.  He asks, “Hey, you’re the guy that likes beating his wife.”

                “What did you say bendejo?”

Enrique pulled out his gun and charged Nouno.  Nouno calmly drove his palm into Enrique’s chest as he was just walking with it.  It seemed like his intent was to pistol whip him instead of shoot him.  When Nouno struck him, Enrique dropped the gun.  As he followed the trajectory downward, Nouno jammed him in the neck with a syringe containing a heavy sedative.  Enrique collapsed and Nouno shook his head.  He couldn’t believe Enrique was dumb enough to look at the falling gun rather than on Nouno.  Nouno drags Enrique to his car and throws him unceremoniously in the trunk.

When Enrique wakes up, he is lying on plastic and is disoriented.  As he struggles, he quickly realizes he’s restrained.  He starts screaming and Nouno backhands him across the face.  He yells at him in Spanish to shut up.

Nouno explained, “You are here because you came to this country and refuse to follow our laws”

“Hey, I didn’t make the rules”

“You broke the rules of this country.  The fact that the Santa Cruz police look the other way doesn’t change the fact that you’re breaking the rules”

“Well, I can repent.  Now, I know that others will punish me.”

“Yea, you’re not going to live long enough for that”

“I want to be an American”

                “You don’t even speak English”

To Nouno’s surprise, Enrique switched to English, “Yes I do, you just started in Spanish so I kept it”

“Oh, alright you got me there”

“Besides, when you have people walking around with AR-15’s, it seems like you have to be good with a deadly weapon”

“As an illegal, you don’t qualify for a gun.  You should fail the background test”

“Well, one of your congressmen, Sheila Jackson was talking about these AR-15 being as heavy as 10 boxes with 50 Caliber bullets”

Abby responded, “Ummm, my dad has an AR-15, they’re not that heavy.  They don’t have 50 Caliber bullets either, they carry .223 and .556, which are must smaller.”

Theo stated, “Yea, so if you don’t know what you’re talking about, don’t say shit.”

“Damn, watch out for that girl.  A hot mama that knows her guns. You did well my friend”

“Don’t talk about my wife like that”

“it’s a complement to you esse”

Nouno actually agreed with this but he knew what he had to do.  He decided to just be honest, “Yea, you’re right but I hate woman beaters.  It may be okay in Mexico but in this country, we frown upon wife beaters”

“Well, that just means I need to adjust”

“You won’t get a chance” as Nouno slammed the knife into his chest killing him instantly.

They wrap the body and load it in the trunk and go to the crematorium.  They break into it and use the machine to incinerate the body.  They wait nearby as there’s clean up that needs to be done afterwards.  Abby remarks, “Your girl was on Capitol Hill again”

                “Which girl would that be?”

                “Candace Owens”

“Oh nice.  Who did she lay some truth down on now?”

“How do you know she got the better of the exchange?  Maybe she was humbled.  I mean, you always call me young and naïve and she’s only four years older than me, which makes her five years younger than you.”

“If she was humbled, you would’ve just told how and not drawn this out as long as you have.”

Abby smirked, “Fine, so this PHD was telling her that she’s offended that she used the word ‘hilarious’ to describe the Christ Shooting”

                “And how did Owens retort?”

“Bitched her out that she twisted her words around.  She never said that she found the actions of a mass murderer hilarious.  Her comment was about people blaming her.  The PHD did say that she wasn’t saying she was blaming Owens.  Owens kept calling the shooter a homicidal maniac and brought up that his manifesto also brought up Spiro the Dragon and Nelson Mandela.  Then she turned it back to her talking points about how the biggest problem in the black community is father absence and shitty inner city schools.  She says that white supremacists don’t even make the top 100.”

“That sounds like something she would say”

“But she did something that she always rails against.”

                “What’s that?”

“She played the race card.  She said that three Caucasians expert lecturing her about what it’s like to be black is offensive to her.  She knows what it’s like to be black in America because she’s been black in America her whole life.”

“Fight fire with fire, I like it”

“Oh come on! You hate when people say ‘to me.’  You’re all about objective truth.  Truth isn’t relative.  There’s no such thing as ‘my truth’ just ‘the truth.”

“I do believe that.  I still believe that.  Candace Owens has said that many times.  Owens’ employer PragerU talks about that all the time.  I think Owens was mocking the left when she did it.  If she was serious, however, then yes she shouldn’t have said that but I agree with her overall point”

“I just don’t understand how you can condone raising your voice and snapping and belittling someone in a congressional hearing.  Where’s your respect for where you are?”

“They have spied on our president, bankrupted our country, attacked innocent people, weaponized government against conservative groups.  We are in a war right now.  It’s battlefield morality.  When the war is over, we go back to civility and diplomacy.  Right now, though, we need warriors and we need to fight back.  The only people that still take the high road are people who don’t realize the existential fight we are in.”

When time has elapsed, they go back into the crematorium and dispose of the bones and clean up in the proper way.  They then head back to the hotel having burned all the plastic with the body.  The next day, they are back on a plane and heading back home after a successful mission. While on the plane, Abby puts down her phone and declared, “I mean, I know what we do but I mean it just seems like Republicans aren’t open to immigrants”

“That’s a lie.  We love legal immigrants.  It’s the illegal ones we have a problem with.  Look at the speech that the Prime Minister of India Modi gave in support of President Trump.  He called him his friend, a friend of India and a Great American President”

“Well, what do you expect at a Trump rally?”

“It wasn’t a Trump rally.  It was a bipartisan Indian-American event.  Yet the President still got a rousing ovation”

“Well, I think you may be putting too much stock in it.”

“I think you’re not putting enough stock in it.  There are 4.4 million Indian-Americans.  This is very helpful to us.  The Republicans need to send out the message that no group is coming to get you.  We don’t separate Americans into little boxes and pit them against each other like the Democrats do.  There is no identity politics.  We want to stand united as Americans who uphold our constitution and our God given rights.”

“But not everyone believes in God”

“Call it whatever you want.  Bottom line is our rights aren’t given to us from the government but a power beyond that of man.  We are driven by individual liberty, economic growth, and school choice”

“That last one may be a stretch”

“You don’t think people want to be able to choose to go to a better school?”

“Well, it’s not school choice you want but open competition to drive schools to be better so just say open and fair competition where the harder worker and the person with the best ideas win.”

                “I’ll give you that.”

They land in Arizona and go back to their quiet home.  Abby has gotten less worried about getting caught as they have become quite efficient.  Nouno, on the other hand, believes if they get overconfident, they’ll get sloppy so he continues his regimented routine to ensure that they can enjoy their freedom.
