It is 2005 and Larry is a Junior
at New York University. He is currently
on a train to Philadelphia to attend a Model United Nations conference. Larry never intended to join the conference
but a couple weeks ago, it was becoming apparent that the NYU Model UN club
wouldn’t have enough members to qualify to go to UPMUNC, the Model UN
conference it UPENN. Larry was at a bar
drinking and while walking home intoxicated, one of his friends called him and
asked if he wanted to go to Philadelphia.
All he had to do was sign a paper and join Model UN. When Larry sobered up, he was perplexed but
he prided himself on being a man of his word so he was taking the train with
the other model UN members. Unbeknownst
to him, another girl named Kate would also be heading to UPMUNC as a favor to a
member. Her name was Kate.
Kate was a petite, 5’4” Junior
in college of Southern Italian ancestry as indicated by her olive skin
tone. She had buck teeth, smooth skin
and an oval face. While at the
conference, as the NYU Model UN budget wasn’t too impressive, they were staying
four to a room. Vanessa and Larry were
in the same room alone with their respective friends who they were doing favors
for. Larry would attend a couple
conferences but for the most part he cut the conference and toured Philadelphia
with another member. Larry thought Kate
was extremely attractive but had no idea how to play the game so made his
opinion known. Kate noticed and teased
him but she’d be lying if she wasn’t a little curious. Larry was 6’0” skinny with an afro typical of
a Jewish boy but was actually Greek.
Kate believed in the expression ‘Una Faccia Una Rassa’ when it came to
Greeks. The expression meant ‘one face,
one race’ and is what Italians say about the Greeks to let them know that they
consider themselves the same people. In
fact, Southern Italians consider themselves more similar to Greeks than
Northern Italians.
It turned out that Kate and
Larry were both psychology majors so had some classes together. Kate noticed him first in her introduction to
Psychology course. He was sitting a row in front of her but not directly in front. She tore out a paper from her notebook and
crumbled it up. She took aim and threw
it at Larry hitting him in side of the head.
Larry turned around and smiled when he saw her.
Larry may be the most oblivious
person when it came to determining whether or not a girl was flirting with
him. Having a paper thrown at you,
however, was something that even he thought warranted going over there. He noticed the seat next to Kate was open so
he got up and sat next to her. Kate had
a huge smile on her face but denied she was the one who threw the paper. Her mild flirtation worked as Larry would
often call Kate to hang out. She didn’t
want to give in too easily so she always turned him down.
Larry wanted to see a new movie
that just came out. Although he had been
denied several times, he called Kate to see if she wanted to go knowing the
answer would be ‘no.’ Kate answered the
phone and answered, “Ummm, I was supposed to do something tonight but it may
fall through. I’m going to say
maybe. If it falls through, I’ll give
you a call.”
“Alright cool, hopefully I’ll
see you later, if not maybe another time.”
Almost immediately, Larry called
one of his other friends to see if he wanted to go thinking that the maybe was
actually a no. The friend agreed. He wasn’t an NYU student but he lived in
Washington Heights, which is a 50 minute ride on the A train when it runs
express. When it goes local, it can take
about an hour and twenty. At night, it
ran local. Larry often times would go up
to hang out with his friend and sleep over not wanting to take the long train
ride back late at night. Larry’s friend
asked if he could come over after the movie and help him with a paper. Larry agreed seeing no harm in that. Little did he know that this small favor
would prove catastrophic to a goal he had been pursuing.
As the movie time got closer,
Larry’s phone rang. He looks at the
caller ID and sees that it’s Kate. He
takes a breath preparing himself for the rejection. He answers the phone not revealing his
disappointment that he knows is imminent.
Kate states, “Hey Larry, It’s Kate”
“Hey, what’s up?”
“The thing fell through; I can
go to the movie.”
Larry was happy and immediately
called his friend to tell him that Kate said she’d go so he’d be going to movie
with her. His friend responded by
whining that Larry told him he would help him with his paper and it was fucked
up he was putting a girl before him. At
this point in Larry’s life, he didn’t know that this was the only person that
had ever exploited Larry for being a man of his word. Larry had a different problem now for he
didn’t want a third wheel hanging around.
Luckily, he had many female friends.
He called one of them who lived a block away from Kate’s dorm in the
financial district. He explained his
predicament and asked, “Can you come to the movie to make it look like a double
date?”
She replied, “Oh man, well, I
really want you to get laid so I’ll do it but you fucking owe me.”
“Fine”
The four of them went to the
movie and afterwards Larry thought he was either going to hang out with Kate or
go home. Instead, his friend still
insisted that he come up to Washington Heights to help him with the paper. He invited the whole group. Kate turned to Larry hoping he’d man up and
tell his friend no so they could hang out.
All she did to express, however, was announce, “Well, I didn’t really
plan on going uptown but whatever, if that’s what you want to do, I guess I’ll
go.”
Larry took this as not having a
reason to say no. All four of them got
on the A train and went to Washington Heights.
While there, they drank and watched the movie Scent of a Woman. Larry got
really drunk and when it was time to walk the girls home, he could barely
walk He handed his pocket knife he
always carried to his friend who was a little worried that Larry felt that she
needed it . Washington Heights is a
dangerous neighborhood and two 21-year-old girls by themselves leads to easy
targets. There wasn’t any money on
Larry’s metrocard so he waited outside of the turnstiles for the train to
come. The train came and the girls got
on.
On the way back, Larry’s female
friend did what she could to defend Larry but that night he messed up big
time. There wasn’t much she could say to
save him. It was a long train ride back
where she got an ear full from Kate about what an asshole Larry was.
When Larry sobered up the next
day he was horrified about what happened.
For the life of him, he couldn’t figure out why he didn’t just put more
money on his metrocard and wait next to them.
There were a lot of things he did wrong.
In fact, there was very little he did right. He helped his friend with the paper and then
took the train back to Greenwich Village.
Over the next week, he tried repeatedly to call Kate to apologize. He texted as much but Kate never
responded. One of Larry’s friends
offered to call Kate to see if she was just busy and it had nothing to do with
him. When she called, Kate answered immediately. The friend articulated that it was a wrong
number and hung up. When she told Larry,
Larry got a drink and that was not the last one by a long shot.
After college, Kate pursued her
psychology education and got her masters and became a psychologist. She married a Turkish immigrant and moved to
Turkey to be with him. She had quickly
forgotten about Larry and never was cordial with him again. At this point, she wasn’t mad at him anymore,
he was just not on her mind.
Larry had embarked on other
adventures after college unrelated to his double major in psychology and economics. He had amassed a fortune but the money didn’t
come with any guidebook on how to be better with women. After a while, he just gave up on it as he
never seemed to learn from his mistakes.
Now, when he felt the urge for some company, he just bribed a girl since
strip clubs and prostitutes never really appealed to him. Although Larry hated dressing up, he found
himself in a nice suit. It made sense
considering he was at a wedding. The
same friend that asked Kate for the favor to go to the UPMUNC conference was
getting married. He was ecstatic since
gay marriage was now legal nationwide so he could marry his long time
boyfriend. As Larry watched, he was
impressed that he was witnessing a gay Hindu-Jewish wedding. It was definitely more Hindu than Jewish but
they did smash a cup under a cloth.
Maybe, it would be more accurate to say a Hindu wedding with a splash of
Judaism.
At the reception, Larry was
getting frustrated because his afro that he had in college was long gone so the
Yarmulke didn’t stay on his bald head. He
asked people what do bald Jews do but nobody had an answer. He finally gave up and just left it on a
table because people thought him disrespectful since the Yarmulke kept ending
up on the ground. Although Larry knew
Jewish people, he was unaware that that was frowned upon. Toward the end of the night, Larry ran into
Kate. He did a double take and
announced, “Wow, you still look amazing.
How are you?”
Despite Larry putting on a lot
of weight since college and losing his hair, Kate knew who he was. She replied, “I’ve been okay, you?”
“Very well. Still living in New York. I heard you got married and moved to Turkey.”
“You’re not going to hold that
against me are you? I know how you
Greeks hate the Turks.”
“The ones that live in Greece,
yes. Greek-Americans, however, don’t
really care anymore. My cousins in
Greece get mad at me because I listen to Greek music from a guy that stole his
most popular song from a Turkish singer.
Turns out, that song was only popular among Greek-Americans not Greeks
in Greece. It’s hard when almost every
Turkish person I’ve met I’ve gotten along with.
It makes the rivalry difficult because I think I have a better track
record with Turks than I do any other culture.”
“Yea, well, even if you did hate
them, we still wouldn’t have a problem”
“Why’s that?”
“I’m divorced”
“I’m sorry to hear that.”
“Yea, I just moved back a couple
months ago. I don’t really know what I
want to do. I wasn’t really working in
Turkey and employers aren’t too keen on my lag of employment; especially since
I don’t have kids.”
“Well, you have a Master’s
degree, I’m sure you’ll be fine.”
“How about you? Married? Kids?”
“No, I never wanted any of
that. I like being alone.”
“Well, if you know anyone that’s
hiring...”
Larry hesitated because he was
surprised he was going to do what he was about to do. Although he had made the indecent proposal
over thirty times before, he didn’t normally do it to women he knew. It had been over a decade since he blew his first
and only chance with Kate, but he was about to do something that may anger her
again. This time, however, it wouldn’t
bother him because he’s been perfectly fine without Kate in his life so going
forward, he’d be indifferent without her.
Then again, regardless how she answered the question, he still would
have to go on without her since there was no commitment with the women he
pitched to. Before he could, Kate asked
him, “Given that we were in Model UN, do you still follow politics?”
“Yes I do”
“You still a Republican?”
“Conservative”
“I take it you’re a Trump
supporter then”
“I am”
“And you’re at a gay wedding”
“They day I put my politics in
front of my friendships is a day I need to get out of politics.”
“I can agree with that.”
“How can you not step back and
feel for the President though? He’s got
the DOJ, all the Democrats, and the establishment Republicans against him. Despite that, he’s still standing and the
country is doing great now.”
“Economically maybe but we are
polarized”
“Well, you’re the one looking
for a job. The unemployment rate is the
lowest it’s ever been so that helps you when you find a job because jobs are
being created so they need people to fill them.
Aside from that though, isn’t there any form of objective justice that
you have that it’s wrong to entrap and make false accusations against someone? For three years, he was accused of Russian
collusion when everyone knew it was a hoax.”
“Well, the IG report is coming
out soon, so he should get revenge.”
“Doubtful. The DOJ is still bought and paid for by
Hillary Clinton and are loyal to Obama.”
“Being in Turkey and living
here, I don’t really know this side.
What’s going on now? Don’t give
me a history; speak presently.”
“That’s kind of hard without
context. I’ll try. CIA director John
Brennan is panicking because he coordinated the whole Russian collusion hoax
basing it on a hoax dossier by a British former-MI6 agent Christopher Steele.”
“Why is he panicking?”
“He knows it’s fake but in 2016,
he went around telling everyone stuff only found in the dossier. He then claimed he never saw the dossier till
December 2016.”
“Even if that’s true, If Obama
and Hillary still own the DOJ, why should he be worried?”
“He pissed off Comey and Clapper
too. If it was just Trump, he’d be fine
but he tricked the FBI too.”
“Do you just assume that he’s
worried or has he done something?”
“He keeps going to Natasha
Bertran at Politico to regurgitate long debunked stories. He knows that Bertrand will print anything he
tells him to print. She’s a puppet and
can be relied on not to do any basic journalism and check the information.”
“You seem to be contradicting
yourself. If the DOJ is all bought and
paid for by Hillary and loyal to Obama, then why would the FBI director (Comey)
and Director of National Intelligence (Clapper) be mad at the CIA director?”
“Oh, so you think that
individuals within a mafia never disagree with each other? You’re Italian, you should know how mobsters
work; there’s jealousy amongst the rank.
There’s people in the same mob that hate others. Look at the movies, people in the same mob
wanted to kill Joe Pesci in both Casino and Goodfellas.”
“You make a good point. Are you saying that the whole Russia
collusion hoax can be blamed on Brennan and Comey and Clapper just got wrapped
up in it?”
“Oh don’t get me wrong, Clapper,
Comey and Brennan are all morally inept and evil people and I hope they all not
only go down, but get arrested but that doesn’t mean they’re friends.”
“Since you seem to know of the
personal dynamics, what about Comey and Clapper?”
“They are friends.”
“Alright so why do they not like
Comey? Just normal FBI vs. CIA stuff?”
“I feel like you’re mocking me”
“I am a little bit but you can
handle it.”
“That’s true. Anyway, the DOJ pretends that they opened up
the investigation into Trump because a low level campaign staffer, George
Papadopoulos talked to Joseph Mifsud, who they pretended is a Russian agent.”
“Right, that I know. Turkey is pretty much Europe, Italy has
basically admitted that Mifsud is a Western guy.”
“Alright, I mean, I know that
but the problem is that Brennan never told Comey that he sent Mifsud to talk to
Papadopoulos to entrap him. Comey wanted
to be in on the plan to take down Trump but Brennan kept him in the dark.”
“How do you know this?”
“The FBI asked Papadopoulos to
wear a wire when he talked to Mifsud”
“Oh, well then yea, he didn’t
know. Or, the FBI wanted information on
a Russian spy.”
“Didn’t you just say that you
know he is tied to Western intelligence agents?”
Kate contemplated and realized
he had a point. Rather than admit it,
she changed gears, “What about Clapper? “
“Less obvious but when Clapper
left the Intelligence agency in 2018, he made it a point to say that, at that
time, ‘George Papadopoulos wasn’t a name on my radar when I left’”
“Wait, the Director of National
Intelligence is saying he didn’t know about the event that sparked an
investigation into whether or not the President of the United States is a
Russian asset? “
“That’s right”
“Yea, I don’t know any other
reason for saying that except if Clapper is washing his hands of Brennan’s set
up of Donald Trump.”
“So you admit that it was a set
up?”
“Well, usually the incentive
someone starts throwing people under the bus is because they think they’re
going to get in trouble. It seems
reasonable to think that the IG report is what ‘s prompting this.”
“Alright, so you don’t think I’m
crazy anymore?”
“No, I still think you are just
not for this.” Kate ended with a smile. “Let’s
talk more about Mifsud and the FBI. It’s
weird that he asked Papadopoulos to talk to Mifsud with a wire but that’s kind
of a jump to CIA didn’t tell the FBI their plan”
“The FBI interviewed Mifsud on
Capitol Hill in January 2017. This was
over a year after the conversation with Papadopoulos. After that meeting, Mifsud vanished. Osama Bin Laden couldn’t even hide from the
United States Government. People only
really vanish like that with the help of law enforcement. Since the FBI was the last to see him, it
stands to reason that they are the ones hiding him. So, how do you go from wanting someone to
where a wire to talk to him to hiding him?”
“Things change. You learn things. Why would Mifsud be embarrassing to the FBI
if the CIA was the one using him to try to take down Trump? I would think the CIA would want to hide him
then.”
“Like you said, everyone knows
that he’s not a Russian asset at this point.
Everyone, that is, except Comey.”
“I don’t follow”
“Mueller never called Mifsud a
Russian asset; he only declared he knew Russians. I mean, I know Russians too so that doesn’t
mean anything.”
“So, Comey keeps mentioning that
Mifsud is a Russian agent in order to mock Brennan and cause him problems?”
“Yes, he’s making an excuse that
the FBI didn’t need to vet the information because Brennan told them that
Mifsud is a Russian agent. All they
needed was a Russian agent talking to a Trump employee so they had to act.”
“The ‘why’ is still eluding me.”
“I think I’ve answered it but
I’ll try to answer with a question. Why
do you think Brennan went on TV saying that that he pulsed his information with
the FBI and it was up to them to verify it?”
“That is the most convincing
argument you made that Brennan and Comey don’t like each other. Comey kept mentioning Mifsud being a Russian
agent even though he knows he’s not to get Brennan back. I still think that’s a weird retaliation but
it’s possible I guess.”
“Let’s stop speculating. Bottom line is that the whole Russian
collusion was based on Steele’s Dossier.
After Barr and Durham interviewed Steele for two days, they decided to
delay the release of the report by a couple months. Something must have happened with that meeting. To me, there’s only two options. Either Steele revealed damning information
that they need to look into in much more depth or Barr and Durham realized they
were wrong. Steele was credible after
all and everything they thought about their report was wrong forcing them into
damage control mode.”
“I highly doubt it’s the second
one. Especially since Brennan is running
to the media to get ahead of the story.”
“I do too but then that only
leaves one other option.”
“Yea, I hear you.”
The night was coming to a close
and people had filed out. Seeing the end
was near, Larry decided he’d go for it.
He articulated, “I have a lot of contacts that may be in need of your
expertise. It would be in Wall Street
helping people deal with the high stress of gambling with other people’s
money. What kind of work were you
looking for?”
“Well, I want to do some
experimental testing but with a job like that, I assume it’s high paying, then
I could just buy time at a hospital or clinic to conduct my experiments on my
off time. No, I need a job. I need to get back on my feet. That’s a great offer. Thank you so much.”
“I can’t guarantee anything but
if I’m able to do it, I’ll let you know.”
“I don’t know how I could ever
repay you.”
“I’m glad you said that because
there is a catch. It’s not free.”
Kate had a stern expression on
her face and glared at Larry, “What’s the catch?”
“You have to fuck me.”
“Well, you’re a lot more
confident and forward in your older age.
I guess you’re also not as nice as you were in college.”
“Nah, being nice never got me
anywhere. I’m much more jaded now…”
“Aren’t we all?” Kate blurted
our off handedly
Larry continued, “I don’t even
think it’s mean. That’s why I never
understood the feminist movement. Men would love to be able to sleep their way
to the top. The only thing we have is
our merit. I’m not saying you’re not
smart, I know you are, which is a big factor in this offer because if I recommend
you for a job and you suck, that’s a bad reflection on me.”
“Sex is a lot different for
women as it is for guys.”
“I know you’ve been away, but
that’s extremely controversial to say now.”
“Well, I’m a psychologist, I
know for a fact that’s true.”
“I know that’s true and I don’t
consider myself a psychologist despite my Bachelor’s in the subject.”
“Yea, I went to the same
school. Your Bachelor’s doesn’t make you
a psychologist.”
“I know”
“Normally, I would have slapped
you across the face by now.”
“So why haven’t you? You haven’t even said ‘no’ yet.”
“Because I know you.”
“You haven’t seen me in over a
decade”
“People don’t change.”
“You’re preaching to the choir
about that one”
“That’s not even what I was
getting at either”
“Then what were you?”
“I wasn’t opposed to sleeping
with you in college. I had much less to
gain then than I do now but I was still willing. You just sucked at flirting with girls and
picking up on signals”
“That hasn’t changed.”
“No, you’ve gotten better. You’re more confident. College Larry never would have been so
forward. Even if you could’ve said the
words, you would have stuttered or not been as authoritative.”
Larry nodded while twisting his
head and his bottom lip protruded in front of his top one before pronouncing,
“Yea, that’s pretty accurate”
“Look, call your contacts. See if it’s even feasible. If it is, then I’ll take your deal. What do you do?”
“A bunch of stuff”
“Self-employed?”
“Yes”
“Then why can’t I just work for
you?”
“I don’t trust you.”
“Ah, because I could sue you for
sexual harassment because of how I got the job”
“Right, this way, my contact
will have no idea of our arrangement unless you tell him.”
“Yea, that makes sense. Give him deniability.”
“Alright, so I’ll check if it’s
feasible. In the meantime, get tested
because if you’re not clean, then that’s a deal breaker. I will as well so you know you’re okay.”
“We got a deal but I’m
unemployed so you need to cover the medical tab”
“That’s fine”
“Alright, deal”
Larry took down Kate’s number
and the next day, he set to work. It
didn’t take long to find an employer for Kate and he let her know
expeditiously. Kate, for her part,
didn’t delay in getting the STD testing and confirming she was clean. Larry sent her the date of her interview that
was really just a formality. Larry and
Kate set up a time at a hotel before the interview and they were set to
complete the transaction.
Larry was in his boxers in the
room and when Kate saw him. She paused.
Larry chuckled, “Is it a little too real for you? Do you want to talk first?”
“Yea, do you mind?”
“No, not at all. I got all
night.”
“Alright cool”
“You have to pick the topic
though.”
“Well, given that I just got
back from Turkey, I like that Trump got the cease fire done between Syria and
Turkey.”
“Wow, you’re giving the
president credit for something.”
“I never said I hated the
president.”
“No, but you did say I’m the
only one you know with the conservative perspective.”
“I don’t think only
conservatives like Trump.”
“That is true”
“In college, you were pro-Iraq
war so how do you feel about Trump pulling out?”
“I was for the Iraq war because
we had to clean up our mess. We gave
Saddam chemical weapons and he killed the Kurds with them. Since we enabled him, we needed to take him
out. That is why I feel no
contradictions supporting the president now.
I’m a big believer in Real Politque.”
“Ah, the notion that the world
is what it is not what you want it to be.”
“Precisely”
“Yea, you were always big on
objective truth.”
“The president has also been
consistent over the years.”
“I don’t know much about his
politics before he was president”
“He was on Oprah and in Playboy
talking policy. He always believed that
immigration security is national security.”
“I do find it interesting that
the same people who want open borders are the ones that want us to police the
world. It is logical I guess; create
refugees in other countries so they come here.
I don’t think that’s a very sustainable position for a country though.”
“Like Reagan said, ‘A country
with no borders is no country.’”
“Right”
“Did you see his speech the
other day?”
“No”
“He was talking how we need to
think of history instead of ideology.
That goes back to Real Politque.”
“That actually makes sense. The Kurds have been fighting for
centuries. I don’t think that we can do
much to reverse centuries of conflict.”
“We did a good job but what is
the end game? We were supposed to be
there for 30 days. That was 10 years
ago. It’s time to just cut our losses
and bring them back. Let someone else
fight over the long bloodstained sand. We
don’t have a dog in this fight anymore.
This wasn’t a problem we created so it’s not our responsibility.”
“As cold as that sounds, it’s
not far off.”
“You also have to look at
Trump’s big thing”
“What’s that?”
“Winning. That’s why he keeps talking about going to
his generals and asking them ‘how do we win?’
I don’t think they had very good answers for that.”
“That’s because there are no
good answers for the Middle East; the Counter-intelligence operations haven’t
been fruitful, you can’t say that our allies need our help because Turkey has
one of the largest standing armies in the world. The whole concept of ‘we fight them over
there so we don’t fight them here, to the history point, hasn’t proven to
work. There’s still Islamic terrorism
all over the world. It’s better to just
have our military at home to defend our home.”
“In World War II, there was a
clear strategy to win. In the Middle
East, it’s a little foggier.”
“I agree.”
“Don’t get me wrong, sometimes
you have to go to war but I think Fox Connor’s three rules is the best
guideline.”
“What are those?”
“What are those?”
“First, Before you go to war,
never fight alone. Next; never fight for
long and lastly never go unless you have to.”
“Those are too vague. The whole point of having guidelines is to
define what constitutes, ‘unless you have to.’”
“No, it works. I mean not fighting long we violated. That’s how Rome fell as they were constantly
at war and no country can sustain itself when they’re constantly at war. Ask yourself, do we absolutely have to fight
in Syria or Turkey.”
“No, definitely not but you want
something that’s going to work in all situations. Not just this one.”
“Do you have a better one?”
“No, I don’t but it needs
improvement. What does it mean when you
say ‘absolutely have to’ that’s the root of these protocols.”
“Well, I like them”
“They’re good.” Kate took a breath, “Well, last time I gave
you a chance at this was right around the time we went to Syria. So, before you fuck it up again, we should do
this.”
Kate stripped herself and walked toward Larry
and passionately kissed him on the lips.
She shoved him onto a chair and turned her back to him. She sat on his lap and said, “You’re going to
have to pleasure me.” As she put his hands in her groin and put her own on her
thighs.
Larry rubbed her clitoris as Kate
slowly gyrated her hips enlarging Larry’s penis. Kate lifted herself up as Larry took the hint
to place a condom on. Kate than
positioned herself and lowered herself onto Larry’s penis penetrating her from
behind. Larry inserted two fingers
behind her vaginal walls as he used his thumb to keep gently massaging the
clitoris. Kate was moaning louder and
louder and Larry used his other hand to grope her legs and upper body. Kate climaxed and got off him. She lied on the bed and Larry followed her.
He knelt in front of her and leaned in to mount her but Kate kicked his
midsection back. Larry put his arms out
to support himself and Kate slid forward with her feet still against his chest
but allowing his penis to force its way into her. She smiled at him as they
both thrust their pelvis back and forth as Larry caressed her legs. Kate smiled wider and turned the back of her
right hand to him. She closed all her
fingers except the index and bent and extended it quickly and repeatedly
signaling Larry to come to her.
Larry leaned forward and mounted
Kate and humped her more vigorously kissing her neck and mouth and groping her
legs. Kate allowed this for a little bit
but then pushed him back to which Larry quickly obeyed. She turned her back to him and Larry
penetrated her from behind again but the time reached around to massage her
breasts. It didn’t take long for him to
climax. After he was done delivering his
load, he rolled onto his back.
Kate was the first to break the
silence, “Do you still watch the NBA?”
“Yes, huge fan”
“Despite them backing China over
Hong Kong?”
“Not the owner of the Rockets
and Shaq just defended him.”
Kate laughed, “Really? What did he say?”
“Just that if they expect us to
tolerate their culture and values when we do business with them, they have to
respect ours too. In this country, we
have free speech. We will say what we
want when we want and China has to deal with it. They can’t be trying to suppress our freedom
of speech.”
“That is very reasonable of
Shaq”
“Very similar to what President
Trump said that they don’t play fair.
They steal our technology when we trade with them and do business there
but we’re not allowed to steal theirs.
It was very unfair and that’s why Trump had to change it.”
“He’s not going to get as much
leeway as Shaq”
“And that is the problem.”
“Do you think Trump will be
re-elected?”
“it’s way too early. We don’t even know who his opponent is.”
“Yea, but you need to have some
opinion”
“I have data. But after 2016, we learned polls don’t mean
anything. They say they learned their
lesson but I don’t believe it.”
“What is your data?”
“There’s 29% of people that will
vote for Trump no matter what. Then
there’s 40% that will vote Democrat regardless of who it is.”
“Yea, there are some people that
vote Republican and others that vote Democrat regardless off name”
“So, it’s up to the other 29%
that says it depends on who the nominee is.”
“Yea, looks like the President
is in a hole but he’s comeback before.”
“it’s not as big as you would
think. Those 40% of people are
concentrated in just a couple states.”
“Mostly California, Illinois and
New York.”
“Perhaps Maryland and
Massachusetts but yea since it’s electoral vote, it’s not as daunting of a
task.”
“Plus, like you said, polls
aren’t reliable”
“Also, a lot can happen in 13
months. Reagan was trailing in the polls
to both Carter and Mondale. He beat
Mondale by winning 49 states.”
“If there’s a recession, I think
he loses.”
“I already have a low opinion of
people but if he loses despite everything he’s done, then people in this
country really are retarded. We should
just go back to the Constitution. You
can’t vote unless you own property. That
way, people can’t offer free shit to trade for votes while, effectively
enslaving people. We also wouldn’t have
people advocating for open borders.
Still though, the fact that a lot of the populous agrees with what the
Democrats have done the last three years, it really shows the mob, sheep-like
mentality of Americans. It’s dangerous.”
“Well, maybe instead of writing
them off, try to see where they’re coming from.
President shouldn’t talk the way he does.”
“We’re in a cultural war against
corrupt deep state people that have been ripping us off. We need a fighter”
“Fine, but you’re going to get
some pushback. Just try to see it from
the other side.”
“The other side is bombarded in
my face. I see it every day, I live in
New York.”
“Yet, you don’t listen. You just write them off as ignorant.”
“No, I come to that conclusion
after they speak. Mark Twain said it is
better to have people think you’re a food rather than open your mouth and
remove the doubt.”
“I don’t think everyone in the
country follows that quote or knows of it.”
“I know they don’t”
“Then you can’t expect everyone
to abide by it. This is the Real
Politique, not all people that dislike the president are ignorant. Some have legitimate gripes”
“Most do not”
“That may be true but who
cares. Anyway, I need to go.”
Larry seemed sad, “Alright, it
was good seeing you.”
“It was very nice seeing
you. Wish me luck on the job interview”
“You won’t need it but, with
that said, take it seriously”
“Of course”
Kate got the job and was shocked
with her starting salary. It was a lot
more than just to get back on her feet.
She took to the job quickly and enjoyed helping people. Like she told Larry, she did rent out
buildings and labs to conduct her own research.
Larry finally exercised a child
demon and felt more relaxed. He was a
very relaxed person to begin with but it never hurt to become more
relaxed. Just like before, Kate was not
in his life and he rarely thought of her.
