Fanis
and Kera are hanging out in Kera’s flat in London, England. Kera is an international Chinese art dealer
and Fanis is her cousin and bodyguard.
The intense hours and travel of an art dealer has made Kera have little
time for a social life. She also has
trust issues so Fanis was the only one that fit the description of someone that
she knows wouldn’t hurt her and couldn’t be bought but at the same time would
be willing to drop their life to travel around with her. So far, it had gone well but Kera was still
getting used to people trying to kill her.
When she got into the business, she didn’t realize how many enemies she
would get. Kera liked messing with Fanis
by promoting socialism so she decided to bait him and said, “Hey Fanis, have
you noticed that all the cool cities like New York, LA and London are run by
liberals?”
“I
never really understood how big cities end up having such retarded people. Look at it this way though, if liberalism is
so great and effective then how come New York and California are the only
states losing population right now?”
“Well,
because now with Amazon, you don’t have to live in the cities to get access to
products anymore.”
“They
never had shipping before Amazon?”
“I don’t
know, country life is still boring. It’s
just hard to afford big city life so the lure of other cheaper places seems
more and more appealing.”
“Why do
liberal cities such as San Francisco feel the need to have poop maps to diagram
everywhere in the city that there’s poop?
And how come those maps seem to have more poop areas than non-poop
areas?”
“That’s
just disgusting”
“That’s
my point. Why does LA have diseases
resurfacing that haven’t been seen in the United States in decades?”
“Well,
that’s because they’re compassionate people and allow themselves to be a
sanctuary cities for undocumented workers.”
“Yea,
that’s called a problem. Let’s take
non-New York and California. Why are the
liberal havens of Chicago and Baltimore becoming the crime and murder capitals
of the United States?”
“There’s
going to be more crime in big cities”
“Houston,
Dallas, Miami are all big cities, they don’t have this problem. It’s only the cities that have been under
Democrat control for decades. Except New York but that is the best of them all
because they had a Republican mayor recently.
Now that a Democrat is back in charge, it’s severely declined and people
are fleeing. This is called cause and
effect”
“Correlation
doesn’t equal causation”
“It
does in this case. You know liberalism
is full of shit because they don’t practice what they preach. The Obama’s just bought a 15 million dollar
home in Martha’s Vineyard. Bernie
Sanders has three homes. They all have
private planes. Their carbon footprint
is gigantic yet they tell everyone else not to make money or use energy. Fucking hypocrites.”
“Speaking
of travelling, we are going to Scotland”
“Oh
cool, that’s not too far.”
“We’re
still flying”
“That
makes sense”
Kera
and Fanis get into a cab and head to the airport. Kera wasn’t really sure why but she wanted to
continue this conversation. She opined,
“Well, I don’t really like Bernie Sanders either. He praised Hong Kong and the protests and
called on China not to resort to violence.”
“Yea I
know, he’s a socialist, he’s supposed to be on China’s side.”
“Just
remember that we deal in Chinese artifacts.
My success is dependent on China so you should be on China’s side too.”
“Nope,
I support freedom. Chinese artifacts are
all over the world now. Hence, we travel
all over the world. We’ll be fine.”
“You
have no idea about my business”
“I
know, I keep it that way because you’re my kid cousin and I don’t want to have
any evidence of any corruption you may have.”
“Fine,
so back to Bernie Sanders”
“Yea,
that asshole praised Cuba and the Castro regime in 1986. Why aren’t Hispanics pissed at him?”
“Well
maybe they don’t know that. But that’s
why Elizabeth Warren is out-socialisting him.
She’s leading the socialists, not Bernie”
“Oh,
good old Pocahontas. She’s another
fraud. She’s got even more money than
Sanders. She has amassed a $12 million
fortune through legal consulting fees but she still attacks millionaires. She won’t release her tax returns, but I bet
that she gives no voluntary money to the government.”
“Why
should she?”
“If
she’s running that the government is a benevolent force that is a net good for
society, she would donate her own money to it rather than tell everyone else to
pay. I bet she pays exactly what she
owes in taxes”
“What’s
wrong with that?”
“Nothing,
if you admit that paying taxes sucks.
When you say that everyone should pay more in taxes and the rich don’t
pay enough, you should lead by example.
If she wasn’t like that and was like, ‘you know the rich have to pay
like 50% of their income on taxes. They
are taxed enough’ then I wouldn’t care if she made 24 million. Don’t attack millionaires when you are one.”
“So you
don’t have a problem with rich people.
You have a problem with rich people who want to steal from other people
when they’re not willing to pay the same rates voluntarily”
“Exactly. Conservative rich people voluntarily give
money to charity. They don’t wait for
there to be a law.”
“Well,
they get a tax break for that.”
“So
what? You can’t really get a tax break to voluntarily give to the government. That
would be impossible”
Kera
giggled, “Yea seriously”
Kera
and Fanis land in Edinburgh. Fanis looks
up on the hill and sees the castle. That
is really the only tourist attraction in Edinburgh and he makes a note to go
visit it. They check into the Air BNB
and relax. Even though it’s only an hour
flight from London, they still want to take it easy having just gotten off the
plane. Fanis is looking through his
phone and sees that President Trump is looking to abolish the Flores Consent
Decree. He yells out, “Well it’s about
time!”
“What?”
Kera asks
“Trump
is thinking about getting rid of Flores”
“What’s
that?”
“That
you can’t hold a child illegal for more than 20 days”
“That
seems like a good law.”
“No,
it’s not. Asylum cases take longer than
20 days. What has happened since 1997
when the decree went into effect, is the child was left with a relative. Now, with retards protesting the separating
of kids, the adults are released with the child so basically you get a free
ticket to America. This gave illegals
the idea to rent kids. It’s gotten so
bad that a third of all children aren’t related to adults they’re with”
“How do
they know?”
“They
take a cheek swab DNA test”
“Oh,
well then yea, getting rid of Flores is a good idea”
“Well,
you know what’s next right?”
“What?”
“Complaining
that kids and adults and incarcerated together.
Damn, I hate how people are so stupid.
This should be common sense, if you get arrested, you can’t take your
kids with you to jail. Now, we’re forced
to do that because of retarded liberals”
“Are
people pushing back against it?”
“Yes,
they’re saying he can’t change the law by executive order. Laws are for the congress”
“Well
that’s true”
“It
would be true if it was a law but it’s a decree. It’s not a law, so it can be reversed by an
executive order.”
“Oh
alright then, I don’t really care. The
border thing is weird to me. Of course
we can’t let everyone in but we need to treat people humanely”
“We are. That’s why they have to show pictures of 2014
when Obama was in charge because they can’t find damning photos of Trump’s
border”
“I find
that hard to believe”
“Then
how come they always take Obama era pictures?”
“I
don’t know enough about this.”
“Fine,
then don’t say I’m wrong.”
“Fine”
They
leave the hotel to get something to eat and then Kera prepares for her
meeting. Fanis occupies himself and the
rest of the day is uneventful. The next
morning, they go to the meeting and the sale goes through without a hitch. Kera and Fanis walk through the graveyard in
an old church noticing that some of the gravesites are older than America. Some of the tombstones are so old and worn
out that they’ve collapsed from centuries of Scottish weather. After the graveyard, Kera and Fanis climb the
mountain and visit Edinburgh castle. As
they take the tour, they are amused by the musket presentation. After the castle, they go back to the Air BNB
and change. They go around the city
looking for a bar. Scotland, unlike
America, has funny names for their bars.
Fanis gets a kick out of one called, “Dirty Dicks” and decides to go
there. Kera giggles and follows him in. Fanis orders a scotch and tells himself that
this is Scotland so he is supposed to sip the shot and not take it down in one
gulp like he would in America. It’s a
strange adjustment but he tries to fit in with the locals when he travels. As he is sipping, Kera giggles and remarks,
“Should I get you a tampon? Is it too
strong for you to take down?”
“This
is Scotland, you don’t take full shots of it.
You savor the scotch.”
“Don’t
make excuses for being a pussy.”
A
Scotsman turns to her and states, “You know, at first I was really impressed
that an American was drinking scotch correctly.
Thank you girl for perpetuating the stereotype.”
Kera
gave the man a dirty look and glared at Fanis to do something. He merely smiled and took a sip of his
scotch. He shrugged his shoulders and
declared, “He’s right.”
Kera
rolled her eyes and ordered herself a beer.
The man extends his hand to Fanis and says, “The name is Drew”
“Fanis”
To be
honest, Fanis was just guessing what he said.
The Scottish accent is very difficult to understand. Of all the English speaking countries,
Scotland is the one Fanis has the greatest difficulty with. “Where you from” Drew asks
Fanis
glares at Drew for he has no idea what he just said. Kera jumps in. “We’re originally from New York but we live
in London now.”
“Why on
Earth would you want to live there?”
“I have
to travel a lot for work and London is a good travel hub.”
“Well
at least you get to leave that God awful place a lot.”
Kera
and Fanis smiled. He was beginning to
get used to the accent and could pick up what Drew was saying. Fanis responded, “Yea, well I don’t really
mind it.”
“London
is no longer a European city, it’s a Muslim one.”
“There’s
truth to that” Fanis conceded.
“You in
to politics”
“Yes,
but I confess I’m more into American politics”
“Well,
lately American politics is world politics especially when it comes to your
jolly old England.”
“Yea, I
know Bob Hanigan, Christopher Steele, Richard Dearlove and others tried to take
down Donald Trump.”
“Yea
quite a relationship Steele and the FBI had.”
“Right,
Steele fed all this Russian collusion BS to the FBI and they believed him
because he did a good job with FIFA but one good case doesn’t give you lifetime
credibility. The FBI still should have
verified it or at least not pretended and swear to verify it.”
“I’m
afraid you only have half the story there boy.”
Kera
shot Fanis a look to see if he was offended by being called ‘boy’ as much as
she was offended as being referred to as ‘girl.’ One look at Fanis, she knew he couldn’t care
less. She couldn’t’ even tell if he
noticed. Fanis replied, “What do you
mean?”
“Steele
didn’t give that information for free.”
“Alright,
so the FBI paid him for shitty information.
Wouldn’t be the first time the government wasted money.”
“Not
money”
“Then
what?”
“That
information super highway was two ways. The FBI gave Steele sensitive classified
information in exchange for his shitty information. “
“Like
what?”
“It’s
all in the 1023 reports, they told him about Crossfire Hurricane in December
2015.”
“That’s
seven months before Crossfire Hurricane allegedly opened.”
“Oh,
you noticed that too” Drew said sarcastically.
“Well,
I know that it started earlier than that but why would they tell Steele?”
“So he
could tell Hillary and the FBI can pretend they’re not the ones that told her.”
Fanis
ponders this for a moment and pronounces, “Wait, New York Magazine did a piece
a week before the election talking about a final October Surprise revealing
Trump’s Russian ties. How did New York
Magazine get that information? We
already know that Steele leaked Glenn Simpson’s dossier passing it off as his
own so it’s not farfetched to think he leaked this too.”
“And
that’s how you have the real election interference by a foreigner.”
Kera
remarked, “Oh God, you just gave him crack.
Now I have to listen to these conspiracy theories for the next couple of
months. Look, nobody against Trump has
been arrested. Trump is the most
powerful man in the world so to say that Hillary and the justice department is
defending the deep state is just asinine.”
“The
president has to fight congress tooth and nail on policy. He’s too busy making America great that he
has no time to get revenge on the Deep State.
That’s supposed to be Bill Barr and Durham’s job but they’re dragging
their feet. Harrowitz recommended
prosecution of Comey and Barr said no. I
had such high hopes for him but he ended up being just as ineffective as
sessions.” Fanis complained.
“Well
there’s a lot of things that need to be declassified before they can drop the
hammer. Hopefully it happens soon.”
“Enlighten
me.”
“Tell
you what, buy me a drink and I’ll explain it all to you.”
“Done”
Kera
rolls her eyes, “I’m going back to the hotel.
Have fun with your new little friend.”
Kera closed her tab and ordered a shot of scotch. She picked up the shot glass and downed it in
one gulp glaring first at the bar tender and then at Drew. Kera then walked out of the bar. Drew chuckled and articulated, “I don’t think
your girl likes me very much.”
“Nah,
she just doesn’t like when I get ammunition on the deep state in America”
“Alright,
well do you want to know what documents you need to actually prove your point
and build the case?”
“Yea I
do.”
“Alright
first is the house intelligence interviews”
“What
are those?”
“A man
named Sussman was a DNC employee. He was
colluding with Russia to get dirt on Trump.
He worked very closely with the CIA and FBI. The interviews reveal the extent of it.”
“Between
Skolkovo with Hillary, Steele talking with Trubnikov and Surkov, it seems like
the other side has a lot more Russian collusion than Trump.”
“Name
one Russian that Trump or his campaign talked to that the Democrats didn’t”
“I can
only think of Veselnitskaya but she was a Russian translator for Hillary
Clinton so she wouldn’t qualify.”
“Alright,
so you’re not completely clueless on this.”
“No,
I’m not but go on.”
“Next
is the Halper documents. Halper is…”
“Yea
Yea I know, he was a professor at Cambridge but he’s also a CIA spy. He arranged all the entrapment attempts of
Papadopoulos, Carter Page and Mike Flynn at his school in London. He’s what made it possible for Britain to spy
on the Trump campaign.”
“Yes, but
again, you’re missing stuff.”
“Like….”
“He had
moles in the Trump campaign. They
climbed the ranks of the Trump administration.
He infiltrated the transition team so that he could continue to spy on
the President even after he won the election well into 2017.”
“I
thought that was Josh Pitcock that Strzoak and Page referred to as ‘Katie’s
husband’”
“Yea,
but who’s idea was it to have these moles?
Halper was very instrumental and it’s all revealed in those documents.”
“You
know, I’m just going to keep quiet.
Apparently I don’t know as much as I think I do.”
“You
know more than most Americans but your media does a very good job of shielding
you from the truth. I make it my
business to find out England’s secrets.
Finding out England’s secrets exposes many American secrets. Especially now. Your President needs to stop caring if he
hurts the feelings of his so called allies across the pond. They aren’t his allies, even if the men most
responsible have stepped down. He needs
to have no mercy. Declassify
everything.”
“What
else?”
“There
are October 2016 e-mail chains that reveal the FBI knew about evidence that
supports the information they gave to the FISA court.”
“Yea
but that information was proven false later.”
“No,
not later. In October 2016, these
e-mails prove that the FBI knew that the information wasn’t verified yet they
swore to it to a FISA court under oath.”
“Alright,
that one is well known. They didn’t go
through the Woods procedure yet they signed a file saying they did. They trusted Steele that they didn’t bother
to verify it but 10 days prior to the FISA, State Department official Kathleen
Kavalec caught Steele in lies, told the FBI and they ignored it.”
“Alright
so that part you got. We’ll just move
on. There’s exculpatory evidence about
Page and Papadopoulos.”
“Documented?”
“Yes,
interviews, recording, various hard evidence that the FBI withheld from the
courts. There’s many tapes of them
telling the agents trying to entrap them that they want nothing to do with them
or their information. Kind of proves
they weren’t looking for dirt but instead avoiding anyone that claimed to have
it.”
“And
they still arrest and charged Papadopoulos and had four FISA’s on Carter
Page. This is getting ridiculous. Well it was always ridiculous but the more
you dig the crazier it gets.”
“Do you
want me to go on?”
“Of
course.”
“John
Brennan’s gang of eight briefing. It
shows the short comings of Steele’s information that Trump colluded with the
Russians. Basically he admits that it’s
all garbage yet still ignored and included in briefings to the President among
other places”
“Wait,
so Brennan admitted that it was garbage?”
“Yup”
“I knew
about the Gang of eight briefing and how he didn’t tell all the Republicans in
that gang like he claimed. At least the
Republicans denied it.”
“That’s
what I’m getting at. Rubio and Ryan
caught him in the lies so Brennan just didn’t tell the more important
Republicans like McConnell”
“Not
too much more we can expand on that.
What’s next?”
“Steele
spreadsheet”
“Yea,
that one I know about. They have the
claim and how verified it is. Most of
them are uncorroborated, debunked or open source information like the
internet.”
“90%
would classify as ‘most’ but it’s more effective to say 90% of the information
the FBI had little confidence in.”
“The
pathetic thing is with all the damning and explosive revelations in this case,
this is considered uneventful”
“Right,
in a sane universe, this alone would be enough to take down everyone involved
in the FBI”
“Yea,
anyway let’s keep going. Or are we
done?”
“Almost,
you have the Steele interviews”
“Well,
I’m not sure about that. He’s MI6. Like Comey and Brennan, he knows how to dodge
questions”
“This
isn’t a James Bond movie sunny, Steele admitted that he had political
motivations so we have proof that it was an intelligence hit.”
“Steele
was that dumb? Actually, now that I
think about it, given that Kavalec outed him and he contradicted the dossier
making people suspicious if he even wrote it, I think I can believe this.”
“Right
on. Next we have the third FISA Renewal”
“I’d
actually like all four FISA’s to be declassified.”
“Well, the
last one is the most important”
“Why?”
“Well
when was it?”
“June
2017”
“After
what?”
“The
Mueller probe started”
“Yes,
so the last FISA reveals misleading and intrusive tactics used by the
probe. They needed new information to
justify it that they didn’t have in the previous three. That’s when they got desperate and desperate
people do stupid things. All the stupid
things come out in the last FISA.”
“Specifically?”
“The
FBI interviewed Steele’s Russian sources and deemed them not credible in January
2017.”
“And
this is June, so six months after admitting that it was bad information,
they’re still using it to invasively spy by means of the FISA on an American
citizen.”
“It
also reveals Halper’s infiltration into Trump’s orbit.”
“A
little corroboration of other documents is always good.”
“There
you go.”
“Barr
needs to get going. This glacial pace is
annoying. I guess not Barr; Judicial
watch has done a better job of getting this shit. They need to get on these.”
“I have
one more for you.”
“Go for
it.”
“This
is my favorite one.”
“Best
for last”
“The
records of Allies’ assistance on this.
All foreign communications with Italy and England. Obama used foreign spies to spy on Trump
because the US laws wouldn’t let him.
All the correspondence from the Obama White House, England and Italy.”
“Yea, I
can see why that’s your favorite one. I
do agree though. So, to sum up, an
unreliable and uncorroborated source was giving and receiving information and
in conjunction with the media, attacked the Trump administration under the
watch of the CIA, FBI and foreign intelligence communities that knew about it
and withheld exculpatory evidence and despite all this they signed four FISA’s
based on this unreliable, uncorroborated information.”
“That sounds
like a good recap.”
“Now
with social media suppressing conservatives and Facebook hiring ‘seasoned
journalists’ to plan news tabs to continue to only give people liberal
propaganda instead of the news they want, this is only going to get worse.”
“Yup,
people stopped watching mainstream media so now social media is picking up
where they left off.”
“Scary
shit.”
“Yes,
good luck to you.”
“Alright,
I better get back. Thank you for the
information, I truly enjoyed this.”
“Cheers
for the drink.” They shook hands and Drew continued, “You better get back to
your cousin.”
Fanis
stopped smiling and leaned back, “I never told you she was my cousin”
“Really? She must have said it then.”
“No,
because you called her my girl after she left.
It wasn’t important enough to me to correct you because I’m used to
people assuming that just because two people of opposite sex are hanging out,
it doesn’t mean they’re dating.”
Drew
smiled and gave him a knowing look.
After
Kera left the bar, it didn’t take long for a car to pull up and grab her. She was held down and her phone was
taken. She squirmed for a little bit but
when a gun was placed on her head, she stilled herself. She simply asked, “Why?”
“You
have a lot of connections with the British government. We’re not so sure why you’re in Scotland”
“I sold
Chinese artifacts. I’ll tell you the
buyer, you can ask them yourself.”
“Yea,
we know all about your meeting this morning.
With Venmo and various money transfer apps and shipping, there’s no need
to travel. What are you really doing
here?”
“I’m
not a spy”
The
questioning went on like this while Fanis was talking to Drew. Back at the bar, Fanis grabbed Drew by the
Carotid arteries. The bar tender spoke
up, “HEY!”
“I’m
taking this asshole outside, don’t worry.” As Fanis got up and dragged Drew
outside. He held a knife to his throat
and said, “Where is she?”
Drew
took out his phone and handed it to Fanis.
He unlocked it using his finger and Fanis let go so he could talk. Drew grabbed his throat and coughed, “Christ
man, that fucking hurt. I told them I’d
let them know when you left.”
“Who”
“Last
message”
Fanis
went into the message and figured he’d use different language that he left.
He texted the number, “He’s going to meet someone at another bar.”
The
response came back, “Which bar?”
Fanis
called London for people who work with Kera and knew more about her
business. He gave them the number to see
what they could do with it. As he was on
the phone, he got a message. He checked
it and it said, “If you want to see your cousin again, you’ll stop drinking and
go to the Air BNB”
Fanis
smiled. Now he knew where not to
go. It didn’t take long for the contact
in London to give Fanis an address on where the phone was coming from. In the meantime, Fanis looked at his phone
and saw the number was all 0’s, which means they were disguising it. Fanis responded back shortly after getting
the message, “How do I know she’s okay?”
“Let me
know when you’re home, and I’ll have her call you.”
Fanis
went to the address that he got from Kera’s employee. He texted the number, “Alright, I’m home.”
Soon
after, Fanis’s phone rang. He answered
it and he heard Kera’s voice, “Hey, I’m okay.
They think I’m a spy….”
“Get
down.”
Kera
dropped the phone and jumped to the ground lying down. Fanis kicked the door in with an AK-47 in his
hand and opened fire as he walked through the door. His firing only killed one person. He slowly walked up the stairs covering all
the angles. From the top of the stairs,
two people on either side held a gun on him.
Fanis looked around and knew he couldn’t take them both out since they
had separated and they had an elevated position so there was no danger of cross
fire. He dropped his gun and put his
hands up. He heard the demand, “Slowly
walk up the stairs.”
Fanis
did so and they led him to the room with Kera.
Kera’s face was bleeding as they had hit her trying to get
information. He calmly asked, “What do
you want?”
“We
want to know what you’re doing here”
“Selling
Chinese artifacts”
“Not
too many Chinese people in Scotland”
“It’s
not about Chinese people, it’s about people who want Chinese artifacts and
people in every country are foreign collectors.”
“For a
bodyguard, you seemed pretty interested in politics. That’s how we got our man to separate you
from your cousin here.”
“I’m
interested in politics. Sue me.”
“You
guys aren’t going anywhere till we find out what we want to know. Fanis looked around. He saw three people. Only two of them were armed. He played out what he was going to do in his
head over and over picturing it. He
really had only one chance. The guy
behind him was closest. Fanis snapped
his head back slamming the back of his skull against the man’s groin. In the same motion, he reached down and
unclipped his knife releasing the one hand opener and throwing it at the other
armed man. The knife buried in his
throat and he dropped the gun to grab his neck.
The man behind him dropped his gun as well from the blow. Fanis picked up the gun and pulled the man in
front of him. He commanded, “Kera get
out of here.”
Kera
didn’t have to be told twice. She
scurried out the door and exited the house.
Fanis brandished the gun between the three people making sure nobody
made a movement to pick up the fallen gun.
The man he stabbed was lying motionless on the floor as he had died from
the stab wound. Fanis barked, “Now, like
I said, we’re not spies. We’re leaving
your country tomorrow. Our business is
over. We sold what we came here to sell.”
“We’re
concerned what it is you sold.”
“To be
honest, I don’t know but it’s not illegal.
It’s some Chinese doohickey that people pay a shitload of money for
strange unknown reasons.”
“Do you
think that maybe your cousin is into something that you don’t know about?”
“Maybe,
but since you can’t tell me what it is, I’m not going to let you kidnap her.”
“So
what now?”
“I’m
going to leave and we will never see each other again.”
“Fine
by us”
Fanis
backed out and hurried out the door. He
picked up the AK-47 and holstered the gun in his pants. He saw that the car was gone and realized
that he had the keys. Kera apparently
knows how to hotwire a car. He picks up
the phone and calls her. Kera answers
frantically, “I’m okay, I didn’t go back to the Air BNB, I think that was a set
up. I’m at a hotel now. Call London and find out where I am through
them.”
“So,
you hotwired the car?”
“Yes,”
“Alright
I’ll see you soon.”
Just
then a gunshot rang out and Fanis was struck in the shoulder. He ran in a zig zag fashion and turned down a
side street. He used his phone to call
an Uber and then took out both guns waiting for someone from the house to
follow. The Uber got there before anyone
from the house. He got in and the Uber
driver tensed up seeing the guns and the blood.
“Relax, just drive. I’m not going
to hurt you.”
The
Uber driver drove as Fanis pocketed the guns.
He took off his shirt and tied it over his shoulder compressing the
wound. The Uber driver asks, “Do you
want to go to the hospital?”
“No, go
to the address I told you.”
Fanis
called London and found out what hotel Kera was staying at. He went to the Air BNB and packed all the
things and called another Uber to the hotel.
He opened the door and just as he assumed, gun shots flew in but Fanis
was standing to the side. Kera was
right, it was a set up. He fired twice
with the pistol as cover fire then turned and took aim at the two people he
left alive at the house and shot them in the head with two quick shots. He harnessed the gun and a couple minutes
later the Uber driver showed up. He got
in the car and went to the hotel carrying both his and Kera’s bags.
When he
arrived at the hotel, Kera ran up to him and wrapped her arms around him. He winced and that’s when Kera realized that
he had been shot. He dropped the bags and
Kera led him to the bathroom and took out a first aid kid and tweezers. She removed the bullet in his shoulder and
disinfected the wound. She wrapped it
and said, “Leave it for a little. Let it
bleed into the dressing and then I’ll stitch you up.”
“Thanks”
They
watched TV and Kera kept her head down like she normally did when the dark part
of the business exposed itself to Fanis.
As always, Fanis didn’t even bother asking. He acted like nothing happened. After a couple hours, Kera stitched him up
and the next day they flew back to London without incident. Fanis was already over being shot. He asked Kera what had been bothering him, “Hey
Kera”
“Yea”
Kera said swallowing hard for now she may have to tell him why people try to
kill her.
“Do you
think everything ‘Drew’ was telling me was true or he was just trying to
distract me to get to you?”
“Both”’
“Oh,
alright good because it was pretty interesting.”
“Yea,
it’s probably true.”
“Alright
thanks”
“No
problem” she said with a smile. She was
beginning to think that no matter what happens to him, he just wasn’t going to
ask about why he was needed.
