Nouno the Vigilante Episode 16 Setting the gun record straight

In Winchester, Virgina, a black man named Noe Mira-Ochoa is hanging around a school.  Although Ochoa hasn’t been too unlucky with the opposite sex, his appetite is not just for the sexual pleasure but he gets off on corrupting the innocent.  While many men don’t like taking a girl’s virginity due to having to go slower and possible blood if the hymen hasn’t been severed by a tampon or other reasons, Ochoa does not share in their frustrations.  He loves how they are much more willing to listen to him and look to him as an authority figure.  That power gets him off.  Still, many women do like a man to take charge in bed so he also needs the corrupting aspect as he was the first one to penetrate.  The dirtying of the innocence is what gave him the greatest pleasures.  That is why he is hanging out near a school.  At 35-years-old, he is a little too old to be hanging out at college and high school areas.  He also isn’t very good at determining which girls are virgins and which are not.  When dealing with the young, the risk that they’re not is very low.  He finds his target and starts talking to her.  Ochoa already knows what to talk about.  The conversation hinges on video games such as Fortnight and Taylor Swift.  He branches off to Netflix shows like Pretty Little Liars being well versed in what newly teenage girls like.  The girl he’s talking to now is 13.  He convinces the girl to go to his house where he commands her to take her clothes off.  The girl at first is suspicious but the more authoritative Ochoa gets, the more complicit and obedient she becomes.  It’s doesn’t take too long for Ochoa to have her lying down as he violates her in all three main orifices of the body multiple times.

Abby and Nouno are glued to the TV as they hear of the horrors that have happened over the weekend where two mass shootings take place within 15 hours of each other.  Nouno hears about a 24-year-old woman named Jordan Archondo who shielded her two month old child from the gunmen taking bullets to keep the child safe.  It would be the last thing she would ever do on this Earth.  Her husband will also die in the El Paso shootings leaving their three kids without parents and having to live with their aunt.  He cries out, “Jordan Archondo is a hero”

Abby looks at him and shakes her head, “Three small children have no parents now.  That is tragic what happened and all you can say is she’s a hero.”

“She is a hero.  She died to keep her kids safe.  Every parent should do that.  Every parent claims they would do that.  She did.  We all go, she went nobly, honorably and heroically and I have no problem acknowledging it.”

“She was two years younger than I”

                “What’s your point?”

                “It’s just sad”

“Of course it’s sad, it’s absolutely devastating.  Doesn’t change the fact that she’s a hero.”

“What about the other stuff you’re seeing on the news?”

“It’s all bullshit.  They love telling you that the El Paso shooter was an anti-immigrant whose manifesto is right leaning but they say nothing about the Dayton shooter being an Elizabeth Warren fan.  He was also godless, hated Trump and was a liberal.  To me, it doesn’t matter.  They’re both pieces of shit but all the daily beast can say is the Dayton’s guy’s politics don’t mean anything because he killed indiscriminately, including his sister.  I am saddened that the El Paso guy is still alive.  I wish someone shot and killed him just like they shot and killed the Dayton animal.  The fact that we have to waste tax payer money trying this asshole offends me.”

“Well, you’re not going to get any argument from me that they are despicable human beings”

“They’re not even human.  They’re cowards.  They’re worth less than whale shit.  The mud I scrape off my shoes when I come into the house is worth more than both of them combined.”

“Well we need to make sure that this doesn’t happen again.”

                “Well that’s impossible unfortunately.”

“Not impossible, Hillary Clinton said that other countries have video games and violence on TV.  The only thing that makes us different is we have guns.”

“Which is a lie.  A lot of countries have guns too and they also have gun violence.”

“The United States leads the world in mass shootings”

“Wrong! We are 62nd in mass shootings”

“What?! Where are you getting that from?”

“Various studies from centers from crime prevention and such.   Have you ever heard of a guy named Langford?”

                “No”

“Well, you should because he’s the only guy to ever have a study that says the US has the most mass shootings.  Since you rattle off that statement, you should at least know where it came from.”

“Oh, I guess this is where you attack the study.”

                “Yes”

“You know that all studies have flaws?”

“I do, the question is do you think these flaws discredit the paper entirely.”

“Well, I’ll be the judge of that”

“So Langford claims he has the entire data set from 1966 in 171 countries.”

                “So what?”

“Most of those countries don’t speak English and haven’t really kept records from the pre-internet days.  What do you mean an entire data set?”

“Well, you could just ask him.”

“Many people have.  Gun control activists, 2nd amendment supporters, and everyone in between, he absolutely refuses to hand over his data.”

                “That’s a little sketchy”

“What’s the last step in the scientific method?”

                “Re-test and repeatability”

“So, if you refuse to let others retest it to see if they can replicate the results?”

“It’s bad science” Abby declared dejected

“He simply had an agenda that the US is unique in mass shootings to try to overturn the 2nd amendment.  He ‘s a liar.  Now Lott, which heads a crime investigation company, tried to get the data on his own.  He’s the one that found 61 other countries that have more.  Thailand is 61st.”

“In other news, I have a case.”

                “Where are we going?”

                “Winchester, Virginia”

“Never heard of it but let’s go.”

“This is one where I’m going to need my leather gloves.”

Nouno rolled his eyes.  He knew what that meant and knew that although he had his trepidation, he couldn’t refuse this of his wife.  He merely didn’t respond.  They booked the flight and went to Virginia.  Abby and Nouno canvass the area for crematoriums that are close in proximity to the hotel but in less trafficked area.  Luckily for them, most crematoriums are in low traffic area.  Once they found the ideal place, they went to a motel and covered it in plastic.  Abby hacked into Neo’s social media accounts to find out his routine.  Unfortunately, he liked the hunt and hung out in areas conducive to young teenage girls.  This made it tricky since both Abby and Nouno would stand out in this environment.  Nouno stated, “I think you’re a little too old for him.  I don’t think we can use you as bait.”

“No, but I am very good with little kids and it’s not sketchy for me to be around them.”

“How do you want to do this?  I mean even if you deliver the syringe, little kids are going to see us and they’re known for being rats.”

“You’re going to stay in the car.  I’m going to talk to any girl that he talks to.  I’m going to act as an ally that it won’t look sketchy for him to leave with a little girl if I’m with him.  When he loads us both in the car, then I’ll strike.  He’s not going to try to get rid of me until he’s isolated from the park or wherever he is.”

Nouno knew it was a good plan but he worried when his wife put herself in danger like this.  He stuck a machete and butterfly knife on each of her hips, which accentuated the pepper spray in her purse.  All this was not to mention the syringe filled with a powerful sedative.  Nouno sighed and wished that Abby wasn’t anti-gun.  Her father had multiple guns in the house when she grew up so she was comfortable with them but for whatever reason she refused to carry one herself.  The location was set; Abby and Nouno were going to a little league softball game.

When they arrived, Nouno stayed in the car while Abby walked up to Neo and sat next to him.  He watched as he approached a young early teen with braided pig tails, pale complexion and freckled face with an extremely skinny frame standing at around 5’4” tall.  Abby waited for Neo to approach the girl first and talk with her.  After a couple minutes, Abby moved in and said with a big smile, “HI, do you know someone on the team?”

                The girl responds, “My sister.”

                “Oh, which one is she?”

Neo gave Abby a stern look but knew he couldn’t say anything.  Abby turned to him and said in a charming voice, “Hi, I’m Stephanie” as she extended her hand.

                “John” Neo replied

“Nice to meet you”  Abby put her arms on his shoulder and leaned in to his ear and articulated, “I know that you’re just here to enjoy the game but it looks weird if an adult guy is talking to a little girl he’s not related to.  I’m here so nobody gets the wrong idea.”

“I appreciate that” Neo said thinking that Abby was flirting with him.

After a little bit, Neo invited Abby over to his home with the girl.  Both females agreed and Neo couldn’t believe his luck.  He could easily get rid of the 5’6” thin toned blond that was helping him so he could go after the smaller of the two females.  That would have to come when there weren’t many people around.  Little did he know that they weren’t going to Neo’s house.  Abby got into the passenger side of the car and the teenage girl got in the back seat.  While Neo was circling to the driver’s side, Abby took the syringe out of her purse.  Neo sat in the driver’s seat and Abby lunged the syringe into the side of his neck and depressed the plunger.  She turned to the back seat and exclaimed, “Never get in the car with strangers.  Get out of the car now”

                “What about Uber?”

That rebuttal wasn’t around when shAbbye was 13.  She didn’t really have an answer so she just repeated herself. This time the girl got out of the car and Abby dragged the man to the passenger seat with great effort.  She then got in the driver’s seat and they drove to a secluded area where she pulled over.  Nouno followed the whole way.  When she pulled over, he pulled behind her.  They transferred Neo from his car to Nouno’s trunk and then drove the car to the motel leaving Neo’s car abandoned.  Before leaving, Abby wiped down all the places on the car she touched.

When Neo woke up, he was strapped to a table tied down with plastic with his clothes removed.  He struggled and said, “Where the fuck am I?”

“You are at a motel.  We have sound proofed the room so nobody will hear you scream.  We want to have a little chat with you about why you like raping little girls.”

“Fuck you.  People thought homosexuality was crazy 100 years ago, now you’re crazy if you don’t approve of it.”

“Well, right now fucking 13-year-old girls is crazy and you’re going to be judged by the morality of this time not in hundred years from now when who knows what people will think”

“I’m a black man; I’m used to gun violence.”

“Nobody has a gun here.  What are you even talking about?”

“Did you hear Beto O’Rourke at the debates?  There are more gun death in the US than any other country.”

“First of all, again, nobody here has a gun.  Secondly, that’s just wrong.  Even Politifact admits that there aren’t more gun deaths in America than any other country.  When you look deeper into the gun numbers in America, you see that most of them, 60%, are suicides, not homicides.  The number of gun deaths is much higher in other countries since most of their gun related deaths are homicides whereas ours aren’t”

“Yea, because you have cops gunning people down all the time; especially brothers”

“Everything you just said is wrong.  Cops kill twice as many white people as they do black and only 3.4% of the gun deaths in America are from law enforcement, wars or accidents.”

“My math is a little fuzzy so how much does that leave for homicides?”

                “36.6%”

“So where does the US rank?”

“Well, total number, 2nd to Brazil”

                “2nd is bad”

“We have a larger population than most countries.  Per capita gun related deaths, we’re at 20th place.  And remember, most of ours are suicides and we’re still only 20th

                “What’s the highest?”

                “Venezuela”

                “I guess that makes sense.”

“They also have a gun ban in Venezuela.  Go figure” Nouno said sarcastically even though he knows the data backs up that more guns equals less crime.”

“We still need more background checks.  We need to get rid of this ‘gun show’ loophole’”

‘You’ve never been to a gun show have you?”

“No, a black man at one of those is asking to be shot.”

“Wrong again.  You find the nicest people at those shows primarily because everyone has guns so nobody wants to offend.  But, if you had gone to one, you know that if you buy a gun from a licensed dealer at a gun show, you do have to go through a background check.  There is no loophole for gun shows.  That’s a lie.”

“So you can’t get a gun without a background check?”

“Only if your neighbor or family member gives you one.”

                “Yea, well that’s the problem.”

“Can’t really legislate that without trampling on our Civil Liberties.”

“I just don’t get why people need automatic weapons.  We should ban all of them.”

“Neither shooter last weekend used an automatic weapon so It would have done nothing to prevent El Paso or Dayton.”

“Still should need a background check”

“You do need one for an automatic weapon.  It’s actually very intensive.  Much more than a regular firearm.  You also need a tax stamp on it.  The government can track those very well and they know everything about the person that applied for one.”

                “Well we gotta do something.”

“You’re right, we do.  People need to start being parents to their kids.  Almost all these shooters have no social interactions with people. They’re just on their phones all day.  Be a parent.  Talk to your kids.  Show up, be involved.  Just because you’re divorced, doesn’t mean you can’t be a parent.  Get your kids interacting with other kids physically not over a screen or headset. Communities is the only thing that’s changed.  We’ve always had guns, movies, violent TV shows and all that stuff.  The only thing that changed was social media.  Also, take responsibility for your actions.  Stop blaming other people.  Nowadays, people are taught a lot more that nothing is their fault.  Personal responsibility will stop this shit.  It’s not Trump’s fault, it’s not Eilzabeth Warren’s fault, it’s not AOC’s fault no matter how many gunmen say it is.  The only person whose fault it is, is the piece of garbage that squeezed the trigger when the gun was pointed at innocent people.”

“Yea, that’s true.  I’m going to be a better parent to my kids”

Abby interjected, “You don’t have kids.”

                “How do you know that?”

“You’re whole life is on social media.  I know more about you than you do.  How do you think I found you?”

“Well, now I learned to be a good parent when I am one.”

Nouno retorted, “Oh, you’re never going to be a parent.  Today is the day you die, I thought that was obvious”

                “Fuck you.”

Abby put on rubber gloves and then leather gloves on top of those.  She showed Nouno to satisfy him.  She explained, “Now, we do this a lot to murders and rapists and such but statutory rapists we have an extra little bonus that we do.” Abby’s voice seemed anticipatory and excited with a contagious vibe that would make someone else suspenseful for it.

Abby grabbed Neo’s penis in her left hand and the machete in her right.  She looked at the horrified face of Neo who was pleading her not to do it.  Abby used a normal voice to utter,” This is for raping little girls” as she swung the machete cutting the penis clean off in one swing.

She then removed his scrotum.  There was a lot of blood but it was all on easy to clean plastic.  As Neo screamed in a combination of horror and pain, Abby jammed his genitalia in his mouth and duck taped it shut.  Abby plugged his nose and waited until his body stopped struggling and he went still.  She then held his nose plugged for an extra minute before letting go.  They wrapped his body and drove to the crematorium.  They picked the lock and put Neo into the machine and Abby asked, “What do you think of the Red flag laws that are going to pass?”

“Bad idea”

“Why?”

“Having a law that if other people are suspicious that you’re a threat can easily lead to abuse.  Hell you’ll have every single liberal accuse every Trump supporter as suspicious and in need of banning their gun rights.  It’s already happening on twitter.”

“You’re so paranoid”

“You’re naïve.  Look around, that’s all you liberals do.”

“People who carry guns all the time are a little frightening”

“Concealed Carry weapon permit holders have lower crime rates than police officers.”

“I just don’t think people are that vindictive.  Besides, we have the 4th amendment.”

“Which is exactly the one that Red Flag rules trample over.  We just had a three year long investigation of the most powerful man in the world based on rumor and innuendo.  The new standard for conservatives is guilty until proven innocent.  In a culture like that, Red Flag rules cannot be enforced in a good way.  It’s absolutely impossible”

“Wow, you feel really strongly about this.”

“Of course I do, I believe in the constitution.  What makes you think the red flag laws will catch the killers anyway?  The intelligence community is always missing signs.  They’re not very good at this game.  Maybe because they deny generalizations and stereotypes like all you other liberals.”

“So what do you propose besides people need to be better parents and personal responsibility?  What legislation would be okay with you?”

“The nine most frightening words in the English language; I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.”

“Humor me and pick something.”

“Fix the Nix system.  The background checks we have now are missing information.  Get some millennial like you that hacks into social media and incorporate that in the background check.”

“So, red flag built into current system” she said mockingly

“No, this doesn’t have random people reporting you.  This is just an expert checking.  Still can be abuse but clearly defined rules that can be audited and appealed in a court of law.”

They talked for a while until the body was done and they disposed of the bones in the way a crematorium worker would.  They then left and went back to the motel.  They cleaned up all the plastic and tossed it into a garbage bag and threw it in a dumpster a mile away.  After sleeping at the motel, they left to go back to Arizona the next day.  On the plane Abby asked, “This is the last thing I’m going to say on this.  Isn’t it the cops job to protect you?”

“No, it’s not.  It is your job to protect yourself.  A police officer’s job is to enforce the law.  You call them to report a crime.  You don’t call them because you’re nervous being home alone and you want them to guard the door.  They aren’t your personal bodyguards.  In Dayton, cops took out the shooter in under a minute.  It didn’t stop him from killing multiple people.  If everyone there was armed, maybe he could have been taken out even quicker or before he could hurt anyone.  You need to protect yourself.

Abby and Nouno got back to Arizona and rested.  A sketch of Abby was posted on local news in Winchester.  It was based on the 13-year-old girl’s description but it didn’t really look like Abby and the story died quickly.  After all, the woman that the little girl saw was thousands of miles away when the picture was posted.
