Annette
was an introverted girl. Where many
girls were partying and having fun, she refrained and studied hard. Her hard work paid off as she got into
Georgetown and would be attending next year.
Both of Annette’s parents were Greek and she was fluent in the language
and attended Greek dances frequently.
There was one guy named Theo that went to her church that had recently
taken a liking to her. She had known him
at church events for most of her life but they weren’t close. Now that there were a plethora of graduation
parties, she was seeing Theo more and more now.
Annette assumed Theo was an alcoholic because every time she saw him he
was drinking. Theo only drank at Greek
functions as Greeks don’t really enforce under-age drinking laws. Since Annette only saw Theo at Greek
functions, she assumed he drank at all functions. It was a logical conclusion but it was also
wrong.
Theo
was Greek by descent and was very in tuned with his heritage. As he was nearing graduation and attending
graduation parties, he saw a girl he had known for years named Annette. Theo always liked Annette but since he was
involved in a church basketball league that Annette didn’t really participate
in, he was drawn to other Greek girls just because of the frequency he saw them. Theo was a dork and a little socially
awkward. He only drank at Greek function
but Annette never drank. While many
looked down upon this “prissy” behavior, it actually turned Theo on. He liked innocence and as he kept seeing
Annette, he decided he would flirt with her.
The problem was, he wasn’t very good at it. The more he hit on Annette, the more she
avoided him at Greek functions. Greek
dancing is a communal event as people hold hands or are shoulder to shoulder
and move to pre-choreographed steps.
Throughout their lives, Annette never minded if Theo happened to be next
to her but now she ensured that her brother or one of her cousins was in
between Theo and her. Annette’s cousins
didn’t have a problem with Theo, they in fact encouraged his flirting but they
knew that Annette wasn’t interested.
They also knew Theo well enough to know that he wouldn’t do anything
disrespectful so they had fun with it.
There
was another graduation party and Annette and Theo were in attendance. As always, Theo had a drink in his hand and
approached Annette who looked at the drink unimpressed. She was polite and said hi and Theo returned
it. He said, “You know, you and I never
really talk about substantive issues.
You’re presumably smart since you got into Georgetown so I’m just
curious since I can’t believe I have no idea but what is your political
affiliation?”
Leah
smiled, “I’m not smart just because I’m going to Georgetown. It’s a little insulting that you didn’t know
that before.”
“You’re
right, it’s my fault. But, you think I’m
an alcoholic”
“I
didn’t say that.”
“You’re
parents aren’t very subtle but did you know that I only drink at Greek
functions, where my parents are almost always in attendance?”
“No, I
didn’t”
“So
maybe you don’t know me as well as you think you do.”
“Well,
when every time I see you, you’re drinking, it kind of is a fair conclusion.”
“I
agree, I didn’t fault you for making it.”
“That’s
true, you didn’t. Alright, I’ll bite I’m
a Democrat”
“Really? Why?”
“Healthcare
is really expensive, so I think Bernie Sanders is what this country needs.”
“Bernie
just said that convicted felons should be able to vote from jail.”
“Why
not? It’s a human right.”
“Yes,
but when you do things like placing a bomb near an eight year old at a Boston
marathon, then you kind of forfeit that right.”
“Who
are you to say that?”
“I’m
not, you broke a law. Inmates may not
even be citizens of the states they’re incarcerated in because they committed a
crime in a state they don’t live in. So,
you increase the voting pool and potentially the number of electorates just
because you imprison more people.”
“That
does seem a little odd, but I guess they could vote absentee.”
“But
they’re voting on local issues. They’re
voting on their future. The whole point
of prison is you forfeit all the rights.
Rights are a privilege, if you violate that privilege by breaking the
law, you shouldn’t be allowed to vote on laws.
They are laws you broke.”
“I just
think that rights apply to all people.”
“Even
those that infringe on other people’s rights?”
“Well,
no, but that’s when you get arrested but you can still vote.”
“I just
think it’s a blatant attempt by the Democrats to expand their potential voters
since most people from Democratic barrios and ghettos end up being criminals
and they’re losing voters because they keep minorities down but then in keeping
them down, they turn to crime. It also
says to me that people like Candace Owens are doing well in their mission
because Democrats are looking to illegals and inmates to get a new wave of
voters to destroy this country and trample on our history.”
Annette
smiled, “You really don’t like Democrats”
“No, every
city they’ve had power for years has serious crime problems and even health
problems.”
“Like what?”
“Chicago,
it’s basically a war zone in some areas.
There are so many homicides. Then
you have San Francisco. This is the
richest city in America based on its cost of living and they have a huge
problem with people defecating in the streets.
There were 118,000 cases last year.
They showed a map and it consumed most of the city. That’s disgusting.”
“It
kind of disproves Raeganomics doesn’t it?”
“Not at
all, the 6% average quarter growth during Raegan proved his economic policy
worked. Look at New York, look at
Houston.”
“New
York is very liberal”
“And
it’s declining but in the mid-90s – 2006 it went from horrendous to the safest
big city in America. It had a Republican
mayor in Giuliani and then Blooomberg and a Republican governor in Pataki. It was only after Democrats won back those
seats that things started declining again.”
“Look,
I know you went to a Jesuit school, you were surrounded by conservatives so you
have conservative views.”
“That’s
not really an argument against.”
“I’m
trying to enjoy the graduation party; I don’t have time to educate you right
now.”
“I’ll
take that as me winning the argument.”
Annette
got up and walked away. Theo smiled; he
felt he won that round. The graduation
party went normally after that. A few
days later, Annette went to a movie with a couple female friends. The movie theater was near a mall but given
that it was a late showing, it would be getting out after the mall closed. Annette didn’t care; she had done it several
times. On this particular night,
however, it was going to be a different result.
When Annette got out, three boys approached them. They had baggy jeans and chains going from
the waist to the pockets. Annette was
5’8” with a sporty build and short brown hair.
These guys were between 6’ and 6’2” with muscular build. There was a dark haired boy a blond and a red
haired boy. The blond spoke first and
said, “Hello, ladies you looking for a good time?”
Annette
said, “Not with you.”
The
blond grabbed her bicep and said, “Now now don’t be rude bitch.”
“Excuse
me?!...” Annette said as she squirmed but the guy had a firm grip “Let go of me
asshole”
The
blond used his other arm and grabbed her by the throat and shoved her against
the wall and said, “Bitch has a mouth on her.”
Annette’s
two friends ran and the other two followed but didn’t give chase long. Instead they turned back and walked back to
Annette. Annette looked around and saw a
barren parking lot. Nobody really went
to movies anymore with the popularity of Netflix and all the illegal
streaming. She was worried now and
decided to stop with the stern talk, she said, “I’m sorry, please let me go.”
The
blond nodded his head and said, “Oh now you’re changing your tone. Smart.”
“We are
in a public place. Think about what
you’re doing. I don’t know you; you
haven’t done anything egregious yet.
Just stop, let me go home. My
friends are probably calling the cops.
Just walk away and nobody gets in trouble”
The
dark haired boy said, “Egregious? Damn,
big word, she’s all sophisticated and shit.”
Annette
rolled her eyes and the blond said, “That’s one option, but I’m thinking I want
to stick my dick on that dirty mouth of yours” as he lifted his thumb from her
neck to her mouth and rubbed it across.
Annette
was beginning to get worried. She knew
she probably couldn’t fight off one of them let alone all three. Another movie was letting out and she became
encouraged but when she saw the dark haired boy and the redhead move in between
them and the door, Annette thought the shield may work. Just as she was thinking of screaming, she
felt the grip on her neck tighten and the blond said, “Don’t even think about
screaming”
Theo
was leaving a movie. He went by himself
always unsure why there was a stigma with it.
You’re not supposed to talk during a movie anyway so why not go
alone? As he was getting out he looked
over at two guys standing and thought nothing of it. There weren’t many people in the movie but as
he kept walking to his car, something told him to turn around. When he did he saw Annette. He didn’t really know what was going on but
she just didn’t seem the type to be having a make out session outside a movie
theater and the guy she was with was really close. He walked up and said, “Hey Annette”
nonchalantly.
He saw
the terror on Annette’s face and knew something was up. The two guys that were blocking the view from
the theater started walking menacingly toward Theo. Theo knew he was going to have to fight his
way out of this. He was 6’0” and
husky. He charged bent and wrapped his
arms around the redheads legs and hoisted him over his shoulder. He carried him toward the theater building
and then stopped short snapping his upper body forward snapping the back of the
redheads head into the brick building and then ricocheting onto the
asphalt. Blood oozed out of the
redhead’s head as he grabbed it and rolled on the ground in pain. The dark haired boy used this opportunity to
punch Theo in the kidneys from behind.
Theo ignored it and turned elbowing the boy in the head with his left
and followed through punching with his right connecting on the side of the boys
face. The dark haired boy staggered a
bit but didn’t go down. Theo turned
toward the blond and drove his right hand to his throat grasping one ceratoid
artery with his thumb and the other four on the other ceratoid artery. The blond tensed up and used both hands to
grab Theo’s arm and tried to break his grip.
He didn’t need to as the dark haired boy dove into Theo’s hamstrings
tripping him to the ground causing him to let go of the blond. With two of them on the ground and the blond
grabbing his throat coughing, Annette saw this as her opportunity and ran
towards her car. She turned back to see
the blond was stomping on Theo’s back.
She got to her car and started it up locking the doors. She pulled out of the parking space and
dialed 911 on her phone. After that she
drove off.
Theo immediately
curled into the fetal position with his legs bent and his arms clutching his
head when he fell down. He knew what was
coming and it wasn’t going to be fun. He
felt the first kick against his arm and knew it was meant for his head. The dark haired boy was standing now and
kicking him from the other side. They
were aiming at his midsection so Theo lowered his arms enough to look out into
the parking lot where he saw Annette get into her car. That was his only intention. He was old fashioned. When it came to a
woman’s safety, guy gets beat up so the girl can get away safe. Now, he had to get away, he drove his knee
into the blond’s plant leg to knock him off balance. It worked but when he tried to get up, the
dark haired boy punched him in the face back down. By this time, the redhead had recovered. He
was a little woozy as he had a concussion but he wanted to get his pound of
flesh. Just then, flashing lights came
flooding into the parking lot and the boys scattered. The cop came up to Theo who was bleeding from
his face and he had welts and bruises on his back and midsection. The cop helped him up and asked him questions
on what happened. He answered them
honestly but he wasn’t really good at describing people and had to tell them he
didn’t know who they were. The police
officers tried to convince him to go to the hospital but he refused. He said he just wanted to go home. They realized he could barely walk and put
his arm around their shoulders and helped him to his car. One officer said, “Are you sure you can drive?”
Theo
nodded but the officer didn’t seem too convinced. He said, “Tell you what, we’ll escort you
home, make sure you get there safely.”
Theo
said, “That would be nice, thank you.”
Theo
drove towards his house and when he pulled into his driveway he waved bye to
the officers who turned around and went the opposite direction. Annette called Theo and he answered
weakly. She said, “Oh thank God you
answered, are you okay?”
“Well
that wasn’t really the point but no but I will be.”
“Umm,
thank you for helping me.”
“My
pleasure….well not really, don’t mention it is more accurate.”
Annette
smiled, “I’m really sorry, I have no idea who those guys were, they just jumped
me.”
“Are
you okay?”
“Yea,
I’m fine thanks to you.”
“So, I
didn’t get there too late?”
“No,
they were still in the threatening stage.
They seemed to intimate they were going to rape me though.”
“Alright,
well then it was worth getting my ass kicked.”
Annette
smiled, “How can I repay you?”
“Have
dinner with me tomorrow.”
Annette
smiled, “I guess I should have seen that coming. I feel like I owe you though so fine.”
“Alright,
let’s say Longhorn at 6:00”
“Deal,
see you there.”
The
next day, Theo went to Longhorn steakhouse at 5:45. Annette showed up at 6:05 and they sat
down. Annette looked at the cuts on
Theo’s face and frowned. He was still
walking gingerly and Annette took his arm and walked with him to the
table. She said, “Did you go to the
doctor?”
“No”
“You
really should”
“Why? My dad’s a doctor. I probably just have cracked ribs, there’s
nothing you can do about that except rest.
I’m not doing anything active.”
Annette
smiled and said, “So you’re being a guy about this? You’re just going to rub dirt on it and call
it a day?”
“Yea, why not?”
Annette
nodded her head, “Ah men well I hope you’re okay”
“I am”
“This
Mueller shit is crazy right? I mean all
that and no collusion and no obstruction”
“Oh, so
you’re not buying the media reports that it’s damning because Trump was worried
about it at some point.”
“No, I
know how to read. I don’t need things
interpreted for me.”
“Did
you see Senator Graham on Hannity?”
“No, I
don’t watch Fox, it’s too biased.”
“It’s
actually the only fair network but relative to everything else, yea it’s pretty
right but that just shows how left everything else is.”
“Yea,
the other networks are annoying. CNN has
turned to just reading people’s tweets but I’m sorry I don’t know the
credibility of Brian1048”
“Well
Senator Graham intimated that when Mifsud was talking about the leaked e-mails that
Mifsud told Papadopoulos about, it came from somewhere besides Russia.”
“Are
you telling me that Mifsud may not be tied to Russians?”
“That’s
exactly what I’m saying. The whole
liberal media story that Mifsud met with Papadopoulos in London to talk about
dirt on Hillary with these thousands of e-mails he got from Russian contacts may
be complete bullshit because Mifsud is tied with friendly western governments”
Annette
contemplated this for a second and said, “I guess that makes sense, I mean he’s
Maltese, so that’s pretty much Italy. He
lives in London so it’s not far-fetched that he’s tied to British
intelligence.”
“He’s
been photographed with Italian and British intelligence officials. If he’s a Russian agent, he’s a damn good
one. Every time they talk about Russian
information being pushed into the Trump campaign, it never seems to come from
Russians but from Clinton connected people only to try to be pulled out later
by guys like Halper.”
“So
you’re saying it’s entrapment.”
“I am”
“The
whole thing was a setup?”
“Looks
that way.”
“You’re
a conspiracy theorists”
“Where
am I wrong? MIfsud being tied to Western
intelligence, the Russians at the Trump tower meeting worked for or was a close
personal friend of the Clinton’s. The
translator works for Fusion GPS, who Hillary Clinton paid to dig up oppositional
research on Trump. How is that not a set
up?”
“See,
there are Russians”
“Connected
to Hillary and firms she paid to get bad information on Trump not Russian
intelligence.”
Annette
nodded, “Yea, I know I’m just being a punk.”
The
waiter came and Theo ordered steamed spinach as an appetizer. Annette nodded her approval. The waiter left and Annette started looking
at the menu. She said, “Do you know what
you’re getting?”
“Yea, I
always get the full rack of ribs.”
Annette
smiled, “Of course you do.”
“What
does that mean?”
Annette
smiled and turned her head, “You’ll see.”
Annette
chose a small steak she was going to order and closed the menu. She said, “So what now that the Mueller probe
is over?”
“Now to
go after the investigators. Go after
everyone that perpetuated the collusion hoax.
Go after everyone who signed the FISA and anyone that presented the
Dossier as credible. Get anyone involved
in arresting our countryman Papadopoulos.
No mercy, no retreat, do to them what they did to our President.”
“I
don’t know if the country can handle another one of these.”
“See,
this is what you Democrats do. You vitriolically,
viciously and unfairly attack conservatives in the most vile disgusting way
possible then when it’s revealed that you’re lying and full of shit and the
conservative beats the rap, you go ‘oh well, the truth came out justice worked,
move on now. Can’t blame me, if you weren’t guilty who cares that I accused you
if you have nothing to hide?’ Then when
we accuse you of the exact same shit, you throw a hissy fit that it’s unfair
and we need to stop being angry and move on.
It’s you that are the angry ones.
You call us NAZI’s and every “phobe” and “ist” in the book. It’s you that rape women at your
protests. It’s you that destroy property
and burn down cities because something didn’t go your way. It’s not us. We tried ceding the culture war and you keep
getting more and more ridiculous. You
keep pushing and pushing. Now we have
socialists in power. Enough is enough,
Democrats needs to stop being held above the law. It’s time to treat you scandalous, libelous, treacherous
assholes the way you treat us.”
“Did
you just accuse me of raping women?”
“The Occupy
Wall Street protests they had to set up safety tents because they wouldn’t let
cops in the group and women were being raped and not reporting it because they
are the man and you need to stick it to the man.”
“I wasn’t
at the Occupy Wall Street protest.”
“Well when
I say “you” I mean liberals.”
“Alright,
but let’s just be clear, I never raped anybody.”
“No,
you did not.”
“Thank
you, and when you impeached Clinton,
it backfired on you politically.”
Theo
chuckled, “Yea, there’s a risk but it’s worth the risk. Liberals wants to abolish the Electoral
College, tear down the statues of the founding fathers, tear down Columbus
statues and replace them with murderous communists.”
“At
least you’re not a hypocrite.”
“What? Since I said “you” meaning liberals, you said
“you” meaning Conservatives. This is
right after I implied that if you treat someone one way, they can treat you the
same way.”
“That
is the golden rule right?”
“Yes it
is, and I said nothing.”
“You
didn’t that’s true.”
“But yea,
just because impeaching Bill Clinton was bad for Republicans politically, there
should still be no mercy with Democrats and RINO’s for the biggest political
scandal in American history.”
The
waiter came back with the appetizers and Theo ordered his ribs and Annette
ordered her steak. Annette said, “What
do you think of Ocasio-Cortez?”
“Oh
God, did you see her speech about the VA?”
“Yea, I
did.”
“Does
she not know about the 300,000 vets that died on waiting lists because of the
Veteran healthcare? Does she not know
that the GA report has flagged them as a mismanaged organization? That proves that government run program doesn’t
work not that they do. If it’s not
broke, don’t fix it, please. It’s as
broke as it gets.”
“Well I
didn’t know all that.”
“You’re
not in office; it’s not your job to know.
She’s a politician. She represents people. She had a following. She had an obligation to know shit.”
“Well,
she’s learning”
“Do you
talk if you don’t know about a topic?”
“No”
“What
if you want to learn? Do you make
statements as if you’re an expert?”
“No, I
guess not.”
“Yea,
AOC is either a moron or a liar, there is no third option. She knows nothing about
economics even though she’s an econ major, she knows nothing about healthcare,
she knows nothing about world events and now she knows nothing about the VA.”
“Yea,
she needs to learn how to speak too. She
says, ‘like’ way too much.”
“And
that’s coming from a teenage girl.”
Annette
gave Theo a dirty look. Theo smiled back
with guilt written all over his face.
Theo was a teenage boy but Annette knew that pointing this out wasn’t
going to go anywhere. She said, “Well I’m
excited there’s a lot of women running for President.”
“Not
good ones”
“Careful,
you don’t want to be a misogynist”
“What
did you think of Sarah Palin?”
“I hate
her. She was so stupid”
“So,
does that make you a chauvinist?”
“No, I don’t
blindly follow a woman.”
“What
do you think about Kamala Harris?”
“Well,
she wants to extend the list of people who can’t get guns. Given all the school shootings, I think that’s
a good idea. Just because someone hasn’t
been arrested yet because he’s got an outstanding warrant, doesn’t mean he
should have a gun. I mean why are they
running?”
“Well,
in this country, you’re innocent until proven guilty.”
“Yea,
but have your day in court you know?”
“Yea,
that’s why you agreed with the Mueller probe.”
“You
don’t agree?”
“No, I
don’t but it’s irrelevant.”
“Why’s
that?”
“Well,
I’ve been trying to get you to attack it before I point something out.”
“What’s
that?”
“Trump
didn’t take those 500,000 with outstanding warrants off the NIX list to not get
a firearm. That was Barak Obama’s
Department of Justice.”
Annette
sighed, “I think you just blame Democrats for everything.”
“Want
to bet?”
“Dinner?”
“No, I’m
already paying for that. If I win, you
have to kiss me.”
Annette
smiled, “You can’t use Fox News.”
“Fine,
but no technicality; you can’t like kiss me on the cheek. It’s on the lips, tongue and all. Of the French variety.”
Annette
rolled her eyes, “Fine, but if I don’t think the person is credible it doesn’t
count.”
“That’s
such a cop out.”
“Hey
hey hey, those are my terms.”
“Fine”
Theo took out his phone and pulled up a video of Diane Feinstein asking the
legal counsel for the DOJ Dave Bowdish this exact question and Bowdish
confirming that it was under the previous administration. Theo then said, “Feinstein is as liberal as
it gets.”
“She
just asked the question.”
Theo
shook his head and said, “Alright fine but she didn’t debate the answer.”
“The
legal counsel for the department of justice counts. They are the ones that investigated Trump and
supported the Mueller probe so I’ll take that.”
Theo perked up “BUT, after dinner.”
Theo
smiled widely and the waiter came with his ribs and Annette’s steak. He tore at the bones of the ribs to eat
them. Annette smiled and used a fork and
knife to cut her steak. She said, “Did
you hear about the mayor in Dallas.”
“I did,
it’s so stupid.”
“I
know, even I think it’s weird to allow theft under $750. Hell we could dine and dash here if it was
Dallas but I get the logic. It’s
opportunity cost, if a cop is wasting their time processing a small crime, it’s
one less cop on the street to catch big criminals.”
“Giuliani’s
broken window policy completely disproved that theory.”
“What
was that?”
“New
York had that same logic and crime was rampant, then Giuliani came in as the
law and order candidate. He had a policy
that he would replace broken windows because it led to crime. If you see a building with one broken window,
breaking a second one is much easier than if you’re looking at the building
with no broken windows. Same goes for graffiti.
Everyone said that people would just redo the graffiti and break the window
again so it was a waste of money but that’s not what happened. Crime plummeted more than in any other
city. It was cut in like half. Cops will tell you it’s because the people
caught for the small crimes were the ones that would’ve committed the big
crimes later. Basically you catch the
rapist, armed robber and murderer before he becomes one. I disagree, I think it’s because when you
know you can’t even get away with jumping a turnstile, you’re worried what they’ll
do to you if you do something serious.
Whatever your opinion of why it worked, you can’t change the fact that
it did work.”
“So doing the opposite in Dallas
will turn Dallas into late 70s New York with Son of Sam and gangs running rampant
Warriors style”
“Great movie but yes.”
“Let’s stop talking about politics. Are you excited about college and going to
this city that Giuliani cleaned up for you.”
“Yea, it’ll be good to be on my
own. I can finally get out of this
city. I won’t be living with my
parents. I’ll have freedom. I can’t wait.”
‘Yea, I’m pretty excited about moving
to DC too. Just so you know, it’s only
like a three hour train ride between DC and New York.”
-
Theo smiled, “I did know that. Are you saying I can visit you?”
“Yea, you know
if I’m not too busy. As much as I’m
ready for the next step, a taste of home won’t be unwelcome”
“Yea,
well, we’ll see. We’ll be poor college
students.”
“So
remember when I told you ‘of course you are’ when you ordered the ribs?”
Theo
was almost done with his ribs. His hands
and face were covered in barbeque sauce.
He said, “Yea”
“Well,
this is what I mean. You’re
clueless. This is the closest thing we’ve
ever had to a date. You’ve been chasing
me for months. This is the first time I
gave you a chance and you get the sloppiest thing on the menu.”
Theo
looked back and forth and smiled not knowing how to respond. He decided to just double down and said, “Well,
I like ribs.” And ate the meat off the last bone and reached for the wet
naps.
Annette
smiled and said, “I did promise” and grabbed Theo’s hand and pulled it to her
mouth licking the barbeque source off his fingers and then pulling him towards
her. She licked barbeque sauce near the
left side of his mouth and then brought her lips to his. Theo enveloped her top lip in his and slipped
his tongue in her mouth and kissed her.”
Annette
pulled back and said, “Just so you know, girls don’t like making a bet to do
something they already planned on doing.
They want you to man up and make a move.”
“But
every time I was touchy with you, you glared at me and pulled away.”
“You
didn’t fully commit. You put your hand
on my thigh, you grazed my butt, you did nothing where there wasn’t a point of
no return. You can’t do it half assed,
you got to go all in.”
Theo
leaned for another kiss and Annette moved back, “Clean yourself up, you don’t
get rewarded for messing up. Just do
better next time, which may be when I’m living in DC” Annette smiled at the
end.
Theo
used the wet naps to get as much sauce off his hands and mouth. He then got up and went to the bathroom to finish
the job. When he came back the check was
waiting for him. He took out his credit
card and placed it in the book. The
waiter came and took it and returned with the receipt to sign. Theo walked Annette to her car and opened the
door for her. Annette thanked him for
dinner and for helping her out at the movie theater. Theo leaned in and was stiff armed. Annette said, “No, I fulfilled my end of the
bet. Like I said, come visit me in DC”
she said with a smile.
Annettte
sat in her car and Theo shut the door with a smile. He had every intention of coming down to
DC. He walked to his car and then
grabbed his ribs as the stiff arm, though not rough, doesn’t feel good with a
bruised up midsection. Annette didn’t
notice. The summer went by quickly and
Theo moved to New York and Annette moved to DC.
Annette still didn’t know what to think about Theo. She didn’t really have feelings for him but
he proved to have a brain on his shoulders.
Theo looked at his schedule and started planning when to go to DC to
visit Annette.
