Theo the Trump Employee Episode 5 The Curious Case of Julian Assange

Joe has just moved to Virginia.  He is from the Midwest and needed a fresh start with his life after a rough childhood.  He has put himself through law school working menial jobs to help pay for his books and living expenses.  He recently got a clerk position in the Eastern District of Virginia under Attorney General Dana Boente.  This is a good time to get the job as the Eastern District just got a big case.  Julian Assange, the Wikileaks founder is being investigated for hacking the Democratic National Committee’s servers.  Joe already thinks it’s odd since the DNC refuses to let the FBI look at the server and instead hires a private company called Crowdstrike to do it.  Joe, however, isn’t going to let his suspicions cloud his judgment.  He’ll follow the evidence and sees where it leads.  What he doesn’t know is that this rabbit hole is extremely deep.

Dana Boente is the US Attorney General for the Eastern District of Virginia.  He has been working on an investigation of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange for hacking the DNC servers and conspiracy to help someone hack the Pentagon.  As the case is rolling along he receives a phone call.  It is from the White House and he is being offered a job at the Department of Justice as an US Attorney General.  Although he’s interested in the case he’s pursuing, he can’t pass up this opportunity and takes it.  The vetting process wasn’t too difficult and soon Boente is shaking hands with President Obama and thanking him for his nomination.  Before he leaves, he passes on his responsibility to a woman named Tracy Daughtery-McCormick.  Toward the latter end of President’s Obama’s second term there is an investigation into whether or not President-elect Donald Trump and/or his campaign member colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election.  Since Boente is a high ranking member of the DOJ he sees the documents, which is mostly a dossier written by Christopher Steele.  He looks through the dossier and the origins as his superiors advise him to do.  They want to get a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) on a former Trump campaign member Carter Page.  A FISA is the most intrusive way to spy on someone in America and Boente doesn’t take that power lightly.  He reads through the dossier and voices his concern that it’s biased.  He finds out quickly that this FISA has already been issued six months ago.  FISA’s expire after 90 days and this is the second renewal.  He says to the FBI, “You’ve been spying on this guy for six months and found no new information.  You mention that this guy Mifsud and Papadopoulos are major players in this.  Since the last FISA you interviewed both of them and no information about those interviews is in this application.”

“These guys are very sneaky, we just need more time.”

“I don’t know. It just seems like the dossier is unverified and biased.  We have no corroborating evidence in the six months you’ve been tapping all his e-mails and phone calls.  Maybe he’s just not the guy that’s colluding.”

“Trust me, he’s dirty.  I really need you to sign this that it’s verified.”

                “I don’t think you’re right.”

“Come on, back me up here.  I got a feeling, I know we’re close.  I’ll owe you when it’s over and you’ll be remembered as a hero when we expose this and stop Russian influence in our government.”

“Alright, I’ll sign the renewal but don’t make me regret this.”

                “I promise you, you won’t”

Boente signs the FISA and forgets about it.  This is the last time it will be renewed.  It expires in October of 2017.  During this time, FBI lead investigator Peter Strzok’s text messages have leaked exposing everything Boente feared.  Strzok admits that there is ‘no there there’ for collusion.  The top four members of the DOJ have all admitted in different terminology that the dossier that the FISA was based on is completely unverified, salacious and debunked.  Boente is furious. He tells the man that urged him to sign the FISA that he tricked him.  The guy just explains that Trump is bad and they needed to do what they needed to do to make sure that Donald Trump doesn’t get or stay President of the United States.  Boente says, “You used me, now my name is on something that is complete bullshit.”

“Nothing will happen to you.  We still got a lot of people in the DOJ loyal to Hillary.  We are going to get the media involved to put pressure to set up a special counsel to keep the investigation going.  Don’t worry, all this will be covered up.”

“I don’t want it covered up! I want to not do anything that needs to be covered up!”

Word of this gets to President Obama.  Right now, Boente is high in the line of succession if anything happens to Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates. One of the last things Barak Obama does in office is sign an executive order to move three people ahead of Boente in the line of succession if the new President Donald Trump fires the current Attorney General.  Boente knows that one of Barak Obama’s last acts is to punish him and he vows to get his revenge.

In April 2017, Boente resigns and takes a position in the FBI.  President Trump does end up firing all but three US Attorney Generals preferring not to use Obama people but his own.  One of the three people he keeps on is Dana Boente because he realizes that Boente can be an ally since he knows of the deep state tactic of the Department of Justice and FBI.  More specifically, Trump sees his work on the Hillary Clinton e-mail scandal and he was one of the few that did a thorough job but Comey led the investigation and he preferred to cover for Hillary.  Trump’s decision to keep Boente on will help Trump because when he received opposition to his travel ban on various countries, it was Boente that defended him in the DOJ and argued for the President’s right to do it.  This led to it being upheld.

Boente decides to go to dinner.  While at dinner a young man comes up to him that he recognizes.  He says, “Hey Joe, how are you doing?”

“I’m well, how are you sir?”

“Ah, you don’t work for me anymore, no need to call me sir.  Are you still at the Eastern District”

“I am”

“How’s it going over there?”

“Really well, there’s a lot of turnover though.  I mean first you left and Ms. Daughtery-McCormick took over and now she’s stepping down for Zach Trewilligger. “

“Zach’s a good man.  He worked for Senator Grassley.  When it comes to the FBI, let me tell you, Grassley is the last person you want to be caught unprepared with.  That means he was taught good habits and does things the right way.  His father was a good man too.  He was the Deputy Attorney General under Bill Barr.”

“I look forward to working with him then.  I heard you got put back in the chain of succession by President Trump.  Congratulations”

“Ah, you’re keeping yourself informed, that’s good.  Thank you”

“I apologize if I’m overstepping and talking out of turn here.  But if you don’t mind, can you tell me why you stepped down from the National Security Division?”

“I will not outright tell you.  I do think there’s a reason why you asked me.  Let’s just put it this way.  Ask me yes or no questions.  If I take a sip of my drink, that may be considered a yes.  If no, it may be a no.”

“Does it have to do with John Carlin?”

Dana takes a sip from his drink.

“The man who Carlin was chief of staff for, Mueller, is about to head a probe into President Trump.  You know that the case is based on false pretexts and is a hoax”

Dana took a sip of his drink.  Joe says, “I think I have an idea”

“Let’s hear it”

“Well, do you remember the Assange case?”

“Yes, he’s been hiding out in an Ecuadorian embassy in London to avoid prosecution.  Must make your job harder.”

“Actually, I think it’s a good thing”

“What do you mean?”

“Let him sit there.  Let Mueller run his probe.  Let him write a report.  Have that report mention Wikileaks and Assange as the inception of the collusion with Russia.  Then when everything is on paper and it’s over.  Then we arrest Assange and let the trial come out that he didn’t get the e-mails from the Russians.  This discredits and disgraces Mueller and everyone on his counsel, including John Carlin.”

Boente thinks about this.   He says, “Joe, you can’t use your position for revenge games.  Justice delayed is justice not served.  Try to get him out of the asylum he’s claiming at the embassy and arrest him as soon as you can.”

“Yes sir, sorry, just a thought.  I appreciate your advisement.  Enjoy your meal”

                “You too.  Good night Joe.”

                “Good night sir.”

Not too long after this conversation, Mueller calls in Boente for an interview.  Boente goes in and answers his questions and turns over documents.  The interview was more like an interrogation.  Mueller was trying to strong arm him and Boente was not going to stand for that.  He stayed calm but when he got home he called Joe and said, “Hey Joe, Dana Boente.”

                “Oh hello sir.”

“Remember what we talked about a while back at that dinner?  The idea you had that I wasn’t on board with?”

                “Yes sir I do”

“I’m on board now.  Go for it, it was a good idea.  I should’ve listened to you.”

“No offense sir, but that was kind of my intention anyway.”

“None taken, it was a good idea.  Glad to see I didn’t dissuade you from it.”

Joe waited until March 8, 2019 to write the indictment on Julian Assange, who has been at the embassy for almost three years now.  Bill Barr for the second time in his career was going to be Attorney General.  The head of the Eastern District of Virginia’s dad worked for Bill Barr and he told his office that this was the time to act because AG Barr was not going to stand for Mueller.  He was right as shortly after Barr was sworn in, the Mueller probe was ended with no collusion and no obstruction.  Julian Assange left the Ecuadorian embassy in London and was arrested.  It would take some time for the extradition to the United States to go through but the process was in motion now.  A journalist calls the office of the Eastern District of Virginia for a comment.  Joe picks up the call.  He contemplates if he should say something.  The normal thing to say is that he doesn’t respond on an active investigation.  What he says instead is, “We are really interested in what Assange knew.”

“Have you uncovered any collusion with Russians?”

“Well, Mueller just did a thorough investigation and there was no collusion.  Now we would like to know if there was ever a reason to suspect it.  In order to do that, we have to go the beginning.  The beginning is Wikileaks and Julian Assange.  We would like to know where he got the e-mails from or even if he had e-mails.  If he didn’t get them from Russia then it’s seems impossible to conclude that Trump and Wikileaks conspired with the Russians.  Assange is the key to the whole investigation and completely exonerating the President.  That isn’t the focus of our investigation though.  It is a criminal conspiracy indictment.  We want to know if he aided someone to figure out a password for a Pentagon database.”

“Is the person he helped Russian?”

“No, it’s entirely separate from that issue.  That’s the main focus but the other question is interesting.”

“Are you trying to say that Trump and Assange didn’t collude together?”

                “I made no conclusions”

“Thank you for your comment. Can I use your name as my source?”

“Yes you may” Joe says not knowing if he just signed his termination receipt.  He wants to believe that he will see this information in the mainstream papers tomorrow but he doubts it.  The mainstream media is a propaganda machine for the Democratic party.  Although he wants to be proven wrong, reading the articles printed by the journalist that calls him doesn’t mention Assange at all.  Joe nods his head, he knew it.  The journalist didn’t get what he wanted to hear so he just killed the story.

Joe meets up with a friend for drinks named Zach.  Zach knows Joe leans right but Zach is a Democratic socialist that supports Bernie Sanders.  He says, “Did you see Bernie take it to Brett Baier on Fox?”

“No, must of missed it but why don’t you tell me and I’ll tell you how you got tricked.”

“He said that we’re not going to pay $ 28,000 in co-pays, health insurance and other healthcare costs anymore”

“Aside from the obvious about rationing, you don’t see a problem with that statement?”

                “No, he’s saving us $28,000”

“Do you spend $28,000 a year on co-pays?  How often do you go to the doctor?”

                “Well it’s the average?”

“How did they calculate that average?  Who do you know that pays that much in co-pays and other health insurance?”

“Well I know people that have to spend $200 a month for their company’s health care”

“Okay, so you’re at $ 2,400, got a long way to go to $28,000.  How often did they go to the doctor?”

“Not much, and it’s only like $30 co-pays or none at all.”

“Okay, so why don’t we use a median or mode average and not add in all the old people and cancer patients.”

“Yea, I guess you’re right.  But he did admit that we’d have higher taxes”

“So all the money you saved on health insurance, they’re taking in taxes anyway”

                “He didn’t say that”

“No, he wouldn’t.  Did he tell you how much more in taxes?”

“Come to think of it, no”

“Don’t you think that’s important?  Just so you know, it’s estimated to be double what you pay now.”

“What the fuck?  I can barely make ends meet now.”

“And your 21 so I bet you don’t go to the doctor much”

“I went once, cost me $30”

“Oh okay, so sounds like doubling your taxes would be bad.”

“Well, he’s a millionaire and he only paid 27% in taxes.  That’s not right.”

“Why didn’t he pay more then?”

                “Well, he didn’t owe more.”

“If he thinks taxes are such a good thing and the government can spend your money better than you can, why not just volunteer it?  You’re allowed.”

“They asked and he just laughed and challenged Trump to release his tax returns to see what he paid.”

“Trump thinks taxes should be low.  So if he paid 27%, he’s consistent.  Trump wants everyone to pay less that’s why he lowered taxes for everyone.  Bernie wants everyone to pay more so he’s a hypocrite if he refuses to.”

“Well he said that capitalism isn’t him selling his book.”

                “How is it not?”

                “He didn’t say”

“He sold it for a price?”

                “Yes”

“He owns the copyright, it’s his private property?”

                “Yes”

“Okay, that’s what we call capitalism.  Under communism, it would be state property and he would probably not even be allowed to write a book because he wasn’t an English major.  Each according to his skill is given according to his need.  So since he went to college and was a Senator, they’d make him like a political science teacher or something not an author.”

“I can’t talk to you.  You just don’t want to admit that capitalism makes people poor.  It’s bad.”

“Socialism makes everyone poor and hungry except if you know the President”

“Yea yea, I know.  Death, destruction and despair” Zach said very sarcastically.

“You sound sarcastic, but that is actually true and I think we just proved it with Bernie Sanders.”

The conversation ended and Joe enjoyed the rest of his weekend and then went back to work.  The extradition trial would take a couple months.  This was just enough time for the media and Mueller to take enough rope to humiliate and hang themselves when Assange comes to America and blows their entire collusion hoax out of the water.
