Theo
has been rewarded for his help as a volunteer for the Trump campaign by getting
a paying job with him. He was invited to
the victory party and afterwards was sent to Donald Trump’s office. Theo thought that Trump was going to thank
him for his help and then tell him that he was no longer needed. Theo expected this, which is why he never
quit his job and instead helped on the campaign between the hours of 6PM and
8AM. Instead, what he got was Trump
asking him to quit his job and work with him full time. Theo readily agreed. It is now November 17, 2016 so he’s only
become “President-Elect Trump” for a little over a week. What’s going to happen on this day makes Theo
believe that Trump’s victory may have shaken a hornet’s nest.
Peter
Strzok is the lead investigator for the FBI.
He’s investigating whether or not President-Elect Trump colluded with
Russians to steal the election. He and
his fellow FBI agents have been busy. In
a rare form of cooperation between the alphabet soup of federal law
enforcement, the FBI, CIA and DOJ are all working together to make sure that
President-Nominee Trump never becomes President-Elect Trump. There are a variety of reasons for the
failure. One of the biggest is that the
NSA was not part of the cooperating alphabet soup agencies. NSA head Mike Rodgers shut down the about
queries in the NSA database. The NSA
database basically has online information about every single American. With this awesome power, you need to have a
very good reason to use it to spy on someone.
Rodgers audited the system and found out that 25% of all the about
queries were unauthorized. He decides to
shut it down, which upsets Strzok because he’s one of the 25% in their spying
on Donald Trump. The alphabet soup then
lies to a FISA court to get a warrant to spy on Trump campaign member Carter
Page. A FISA is the most intrusive way
to spy on someone legal in the United States.
They think it was enough to stop Trump but now they have failed because
Trump is the President-Elect. Their new
plan is to make his presidency a living hell and get him impeached.
Strzok is listening into a meeting
at Trump Tower hoping beyond hope that they say something they can use. Donald Trump is accepting a meeting with
someone not in his campaign. Strzok
pushes down on his headphones to see if Trump has let his guard down since he
just won the presidency eleven days ago.
He makes a note that November 17, Trump accepts meeting with and leaves
it blank till his knows. Unfortunately
for Strzok, the visitor has an American accent.
He hears the visitor say, “Good day, President-Elect Trump, my name is
Mike Rodgers, I am the head of the NSA”
“Nice to meet you Mr. Rodgers. Are you here to help with the
transition? Do you have a briefing for
me? Something that President Obama would
like me to know?”
“I am here on my own accord sir.”
“Okay, have a seat”
What happens next causes Strzok to
slam his fist on the table and throw the headphones off his head. He paces around the room screaming obscenities. He looks up at other people in his office who
have managed to still listen and says, “What’s going on?”
One of his aides says, “Not good
sir.”
Theo is
startled when President-Elect Trump comes storming into the room. He says,
“Pack your shit, we’re leaving.”
Theo
starts doing exactly that unsure what’s going on. Trump says, “I’ve sent out for boxes. Do not talk about anything related to the
campaign. The only conversations should
be about moving to New Jersey.”
Theo
notices that a man he has never seen before is standing next to President-Elect
Trump with an apologetic expression on his face. All Theo knows is that man walked into
Trump’s office for a meeting and then he was storming out telling them to pack
up their things. Theo asked a senior
level member of the campaign, “Who is that?”
“That’s
Mike Rodgers. He’s the head of the NSA”
Theo
nods his head and wonders what he quit his job for and got himself involved
in.”
Peter
Strzok has calmed down from his temper tantrum.
He texts his mistress, also an FBI lawyer, Lisa Page, “Talking with
Bill. Do we want Joe to go with Evanina
instead of Charlie for a variety of reasons?”
Everyone
mentioned works for Strzok except for ‘Bill’ who is Strzok’s boss. Page responds, “Hmmm. Not sure.
Would it be unusual to have them show up again? Maybe another agent from
the team?”
Strzok responds, “Or, he’s the CI
guy, ‘Same. Might make sense. He can assess if there are any new Q’s or
different demeanor. If Katie’s husband
is there, he can see if there are people we can develop for potential
relationships”
After a conversation similar to
this mentioning various people they can use as moles now that Rodgers has made
their wire taps on Trump Tower obsolete, they agree ‘Katie’s husband’ is the best
choice. Strzok calls in a member of the
FBI named Kathryn Seaman. He says,
“Katie, please sit down.”
Katie sits down and says, “Yes Sir”
“We are in dangerous times here
with the new President-elect”
“Okay”
“If our efforts come out, I don’t
think the American people will understand that we were only trying to help them
since they obviously can’t make the right decision for who to vote for
president”
“Umm, I’m not sure I follow you”
“You kept your maiden name when you
got married right?”
“I did”
“Your husband Josh is close with
Vice –President elect Mike Pence right?”
“Yes, he is…why?”
“We’re going to need him to report
back to us if there’s a change in demeanor in the transition team. Are they more cautious now that we’ve been
caught spying on them. Stuff like that.”
“Look, I don’t think it’s a
conflict of interest to have me work for the FBI and Josh to work for the Trump
administration. I mean, aren’t we on the
same team? Shouldn’t we work together?”
Strzok gave her a condescending
look and said, “I’m afraid this isn’t utopia.
Politics is not an arena where we all hold hands and sing ‘Kumbaya’ Very soon, I’m going to be going to a
post-election briefing with President Obama.
He asked me to find a way to get intell on the Trump team. I told the President the good work you’ve
been doing here. I told him he could
count on you to convince your husband to do the right thing. Am I going to have to disappoint the
President?”
Katie’s mouth gaped open in
shock. She looks around the room and
Strzok glares at her. She finally breaks
the silence and says, “Is this a request sir?”
Strzok smiles and says not very
convincingly, “Of course it is, I can’t force you to do anything against your
will. I’m not a tyrant. It’s just that the American intelligence community
isn’t a very good group to have as an enemy as the President-elect is about to
find out. I’m offering you a chance to
be on the right side of this one.”
Katie picked up the not so subtle
hint. She said, “You can always count on
me sir. Whatever is best for the Bureau
is best for the country.”
Strzok smiled, “I knew I could
count on you.”
Katie went home and talked to her
husband, Josh Pitcock. Josh said, “Hi
honey, how was your day?”
“We need to talk.”
“Uh oh, is everything okay?”
“No”
Katie tells her husband all about
the meeting with Strzok and his threat.
Josh tries to calm her down and tells her not to worry because Obama
won’t be the president much longer.
Katie then reminds him that President Obama is the president for the
next two months. A lot can happen in two
months. After a while, Josh realizes
that his wife’s well being is more important than the campaign. This is a big catch for Strzok as Josh
Pitcock is going to be Vice President Mike Pence’s chief of staff.
Two
days after the FBI surveillance went from wire tapping to strong arming a
staffer to convince her husband to be a mole, the Director of National
Intelligence James Clapper is furious.
He has found out that his subordinate Mike Rodgers was the catalyst that
sent Trump packing to New Jersey where they couldn’t monitor him anymore. He writes a memo to the white house to remove
Mike Rogers from his position. President
Obama strongly considers this but in the end decides not to listen to
Clapper. Nobody really knows his
reasoning but some speculate that since Trump knows what Rodgers did, firing
him would make it seem like Obama was involved.
President Obama wants to protect himself and distance himself from his
justice department now that things are beginning to come out.
It is
now the end of June 2017. President
Trump has been in office for months now and he’s finding out just how deep the
deep state is. Inspector general
Harrowitz has just uncovered a bunch of text messages between Peter Strzok and
his mistress Lisa Page. A special
counsel is about to be opened up against him to see if he colluded with
Russia. Trump knows he didn’t but he
also knows that his election really shook up the swamp rats and they’re all
being smoked out. This is just part of
it. As he’s briefed with the texts, he
finds interest in the one about ‘Katie’s husband’” He says, “Wait, is that the Katie I think it
is?”
“Yes
sir, we believe it’s the Vice President’s Chief of Staff’s wife.”
“Well
better tell the VP then”
The aid
leaves and does exactly that. It doesn’t
take long for Josh Pitcock to resign as chief of staff and leave the White
house. This is the first in a long
series of events that follows the uncovering of these texts that lays out the
alphabet soup’s attempt to stop Donald Trump from being president and then,
after elected, trying to undermine his presidency. Trump marvels at the stupidity of it and
decides to let his intelligence officials leak the texts slowly but surely to
keep it in the news. He knows the
mainstream media won’t pick it up but Fox and other outlets will and he’ll just
keep giving his opponents more and more rope to hang themselves. In a month, Mueller will fire Strzok and Page
from his counsel and then to try to cover up all their misdeeds. His task is to
cover up for the atrocities of the DOJ and FBI so he needs to create news so he
raids Trump-Campaign manager Paul Manafort’s home, sets up and arrests Trump
aid Papadopoulos at the airport at 2AM, goes after former national security
advisor Mike Flynn’s son to force Flynn to cooperate, Leaks to Circa about Jim
Baker, starts investigating Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen and gets Rod
Rosenstein to extend the scope of his investigation.
It is
July 11, 2017 and Theo calls his friend Tatiana for her birthday and offers to
take her out to dinner to celebrate.
Tatiana agrees. Tatiana and Theo
had known each other in high school but then grew apart in college. Tatiana worked in Ukraine for a while before
returning back to the states and reconnecting with Theo. The conversation is awkward and Tatiana says,
“What do you know about Joe Biden?”
“He was
the Vice-President of the United States”
“He’s
an idiot.”
“Well,
I think all Democrats are idiots so that’s not hard to believe”
“I saw
a speech he gave to a foreign policy conference in which he was bragging about
how he withheld a billion dollars from Ukraine unless they fired their
prosecutor general. He even hints that
Obama was complicit”
“Sorry,
I don’t know why that makes him an idiot”
“I worked
for Porchenko, the prime minister at the time”
“Okay”
“The Prosecutor
General was investigating a money laundering operation where the largest gas
company Burisma was giving Hunter Biden, Biden’s son three million dollars a
month. Don’t you think it’s kind of
suspicious when you’re threatening the president to fire him? Kinda makes your son seem guilty. And to get
the President involved. Man, what a
scandal”
“And
they say Trump colluded with Russians for firing Comey. This is worse than anything Mueller alleged.”
“Yea,
definitely”
“So
what happened?”
“Porchenko
fired him and got his billion dollars”
“I
thought you’d say that.”
“Yea”
The
night ended and Tatiana thanked Theo for dinner and went home.
It is not April 2019. Theo goes to a bar alone and sees a woman
drinking by herself with the weight of the world on her shoulders. Work had been crazy with Theo as the Mueller
probe was constantly poking around so everyone had to be on high alert. Hearing someone else’s problems might help
take his mind off things. He sat next to
the woman and said, “Hi, I’m Theo”
The
woman straightened her posture as she was slouched over her drink before and
said, “I’m Katie, but I don’t think I’ll be very good company right now.”
“Well,
nobody likes being down alone. What if I
sit here and be miserable with you?”
“You
know, telling a girl she looks miserable is not a good pick up line.”
“Yea,
but you look like you’ve heard all the normal ones, so I got to go with the
non-normal ones” Theo said with a smile
Katie
rolled her eyes and hinted at a smile, Theo said, “See, you’re getting close to
smiling already.”
The
full smile came on and Katie said, “I’m not in the mood for small talk. It’s hurting now to perk up just to tell you
to go away.”
“But
you did feel the need to perk up”
“If you
sit down, be prepared to do most of the talking. I’m just going to try to kill the
conversation with quick answers.”
“Just
so you know, you’re doing a shitty job at that.
If you’re going to kill a conversation, you got to use one word answers.”
“I’ll
keep that in mind” Katie said with a nod of her head.
“Really? Because you’re still not doing so well. How about this, I’ll pick a really boring
topic so that way you won’t be thinking what’s bothering you and be focused on
how much of a dork I am.”
Katie
chuckled, “That sounds amazing” she said sarcastically
Theo
smiled and said, “First a smile and now a chuckle, see I’m good at this.”
“Alright,
you can sit down. What do you want to
talk about? Don’t ask me the normal
small talk conversations. Remember
boring conversation and please don’t insinuate that I’m boring. Let’s talk about another boring
conversation.”
“Did
you see the 1st quarter growth numbers?”
“Like
economic growth?”
“Yes,
that kind of growth”
“No”
“Good
job! Finally a one-word answer! I’m such
a good teacher. Well it’s at 3.2%”
“Is
that good?”
“Yes,
Obama is the first president ever to not average 3% growth. Trump did it last year and now the 1st
quarter is off to a good start.”
Katie
says, “Yea well our debt is still bad.”
Theo
turns his head, “You are correct. It’s
the equivalent of $ 220,000 per person.”
Katie’s
eyes widened, “When you put it that way, it sounds really bad”
“It is,
we need to curb spending or else we’re fucked when this bubble bursts.”
“Yea”
“What
do you think about the Mueller probe?”
“First
economics now politics; wow you really know how to swoop a girl off her feet.”
Katie said sarcastically.
“I told
you I was going to give you boring conversation, I’m a man of my word.”
“Alright,
so Mueller found no collusion and Barr took his recommendation to say no
obstruction. There we done?”
“Not
even close”
“Okay,
what do you have to add?”
“I’m
more interested in what Mueller didn’t say.”
Katie
turned to him and looked at him intently.
She sized him up and said, “Like what?”
“Well,
it came out that Anthony Winer, the guy whose labtop got raided for having
underage porn on it. When they looked
through the labtop found all those e-mails about Hillary. They also found out that he was friends with
an MI6 agent Christopher Steele. Steele
would end up as a source when Fusion GPS wrote the dossier that Hillary Clinton
paid for. If you read the FISA warrant
against Carter Page, it mentions that source 1, Steele, got his information
from sub-sources tied to Russia. Now,
Steele laundered the information through Bruce Ohr in the department of
Justice. He was like the 4th
highest member, into the FBI. Since
Steele had been an FBI source before, they trusted him and didn’t verify the
information. But, they even admitted he
wasn’t the source for the information in the dossier, his Russian sub-sources
were. Since it’s widely known that Winer
was friends with Steele and Steele had a back channel into the DOJ through
Bruce Ohr and Winer, is it far-fetched to think that the Russians gave him
disinformation so that it would get into the DOJ and affect our government?”
“That
sounds far fetched?”
“Really? Because they uncovered e-mails from Steele to
Ohr asking about the visa status of Oleg Deripaska”
Katie
turned towards him and said, “And who is that?”
“He’s a
Russian billionaire oligarch with ties to organized crime and works closely
with Putin. Trump put sanctions on him
and banned him from entering the United States.
Why would Steele be asking Ohr about this? Were they undermining Trump’s sanctions? Seems like it’s Trump’s opponents colluding
with Russians not Trump.”
“What
does this have to do with Mueller?”
“Mueller
is supposed to be investigating Russian collusion right? Why is none of this in there?”
Katie
smiled. “You seem to know a lot about
the inner workings of government. Not
too many people know about FISA’s”
“Foreign
Intelligence…”
“Surveillance
Act, yes I know. What else did Muller
miss?”
“Well,
during the Trump Tower meeting, one of the Russians that shows up, Natalia
Veselnitskaya works for Fusion GPS. They
wrote the phony Dossier that the whole investigation was based on. Mueller talks about that meeting. Talks about all these contacts with Russians
Veselnitskaya has but fails to mention her current employer. Why is that?”
Katie
gives Theo a condescending look. She
says, “I think I’m ready for small talk now.”
“What
do you do?”
“I work
for the FBI”
Theo
stopped smiling but Katie’s smile was wide.
Theo said, “Well, I hate your former bosses. Most of them have been fired now so the
current one may be okay. But Strzok,
Page, Comey, MeCabe can all go to hell.”
Katie
licked her lips. She said, “I agree.” As
her eye brows raised.
“So, I
know you are privy to classified information that I’m not. How close am i?”
Katie
leaned in and said seductively, “If I told you, I’d have to kill you.”
Theo
leaned in and kissed her and she pursed her lips and let Theo run his lip over
hers and meet her tongue with his. She
then pulled back and said as she shook herself back to reality. She said, “I’m married.”
Theo
narrowed his eyes and said, “That would have been a really good way to get me
to go away when you wanted me to go away before I sat down.”
“Yea I
know, it’s just the last three years has been very tough on my marriage.”
“You
have to work long hours?”
“Yea,
let’s go with that.”
“Yea,
or you were involved in the setting up, entrapment, spying and trying to
undermine a duly elected president of the United States.”
Katie
looked at Theo with a shocked and offended look on her face and Theo stared
back sternly. She said, “Not everyone in
the FBI is bad you know?”
“You
said three years, that’s precisely how long President Trump has been in
office. Why would your marriage start
going south then?”
“You’re
pretty smart. That was a big pick
up. What is it you said you did?”
“You
never asked”
“What
do you do?”
“I work
in the White House”
Katie
smiled, “Funny, my husband used to too”
Theo
became interested. “Used to? Your marriage has been rough the last three
years since Trump took office. It’s not
because he worked for Obama because that’s just a natural transition and all
those people can get jobs elsewhere especially with the media. Your husband had to work for President Trump. Which means, you probably had a hand in his
firing.”
“So
who’s my husband?”
“A lot
of people have resigned; it’s hard to keep track of all of them.”
“Did
you know Josh Pitcock?”
“Vice
President Pence’s former chief of staff” Theo said knowingly while nodding
“You
lied to me”
“How’s
that?”
“This
conversation got very interesting.”
“Yes,
but you lied first when you started making small talk.”
“So
what do you think about the woman you decided to sit next to?”
“Honestly?”
“Always”
“I’m
thinking I want to stick it to the man who was a mole and stabbed
Vice-President Pence and, by extension, the President by fucking his wife.”
Katie
smiled, “What if I told you that I put him up to it.”
“Then,
I want to take you over my knee and punish you for that.”
Katie
took her wedding ring off and put it in her purse. She said, “Buy me a drink first.”
Theo
smiled and kissed Katie and she
passionately kissed back. He ordered
another round of drinks. When they
finished their drinks, Theo took Katie back to his house and his thoughts
became reality.
