Based on Dan Bongin’s
4/12/19 podcast of the same name
It is
the tail end of 2015 as Theo is a working for the National Security
Organization. Unlike most people, Theo
loves spreadsheets and data analytics and is looking forward to learning about
Basen properties and Sabr to better analyze data beyond excel, which he has a
decent grasp on. He’s been working for a
couple years now but he realizes that he’s a lot busier now. He mentions this to one of this co-workers
and says, “Man, what is it with all these queries? Is it because the New Year is a month away?”
“Well
next year is an election year”
“Yea
but it’s November, it’s still primary season and there’s like 14 Republicans
vying for President.”
“Well,
Trump seems to be leading the pack”
“Why
would that make us busier?”
“Who
knows? I think it’s above our paygrade.”
The
workload doesn’t stop and as it continues, Theo’s concerns have been picked up
by people’s pay grade it is not above.
In a DOJ oversight report, 85% of FISA’s and about queries did not meet
the minimum standard, therefore were abused.
Furthermore, private companies were given access to the NSA
databases. This caused NSA director Mike
Rogers to shut down queries into the database until this abuse can be fixed. This would ultimately lead to President Barak
Obama firing him when he goes to Trump Tower after Trump wins the presidency,
which forces Donald Trump to move his headquarters to New Jersey. All that, however, comes later.
It is
now April 2016, and Theo is gloating to his co-worker that he knew something
was fishy”
The co-worker
says, “Yea, I mean I thought something was weird too. There really wasn’t a reason why November to
now would be a time for more abuse than other time periods. I, however, think this is only the tip of the
iceberg.”
Theo
says, “Unfortunately, I think you’re right.”
On his
own, Theo starts using his formulas and data analytic programs to investigate
this. This is not part of the 85%, he is
completely authorized to do so. What he
finds is on March 9, 2016, the DOJ oversight committee finds that raw FISA
material was leaked by the FBI to a non-government source. He immediately lobbies to have this leaked to
the public. His superiors agree but when
no mainstream media outlet picks it up and downplays it, he realizes that they
either didn’t understand what it meant or that the media is implicit and part
of the scandal. Theo knows it’s a
scandal but he’s bounded by contract not to leak any information. He argues that other people are leaking but
knows that Democrats are allowed to break the law but conservatives, like
himself, never get any mercy. Obama has
made America discriminate against conservatives but unfortunately there was
nowhere for a conservative to go to escape this. Although Theo isn’t allowed to publicly say
it, he supports the duly elected President Trump. His co-worker, an American of Irish descent
named John does not. When Theo is very
vocal about this, John says, “You’re just upset because you like Trump”
“The
problem is this is bigger than Trump.
It’s about the weaponization of government by Barak Obama against all
his political opponents. The Carter Page
FISA is only one fraudulent FISA, One FISA doesn’t make up 85% of all the
FISA’s. He did this against all the
Republican candidates for President and even people that spoke out against him
like Mike Flynn. I mean, how does this
not bother you? We just know about Trump
because Trump won. If someone else won, they would have done it to them; just like they did to McCain in 2008.”
“That’s
the politics game. If you can’t handle
it, you’re in the wrong profession”
“No,
it’s the Democrats game.”
“True,
Clinton sent the IRS after everyone involved in the Monica Lewinsky scandal so
yea this happens whenever Democrats win the presidency, which is every other
time. Think about it, since George H.W,
Bush, the presidency has gone from Republican to Democrat to Republican to
Democrat to Republican in HW Bush, Clinton, W Bush, Obama and now Trump. It’s the cyclical nature of the presidency.”
“It’s
the ignorance of the American people not knowing what we know”
“The
American people know that Trump’s strong language and bullying tactic is not
presidential”
“Who
decides what’s presidential?”
“Common
sense.”
“And
it’s presidential to spy on your political opponents? It’s presidential to abuse the DOJ and IRS
and use it as your own little revenge campaign?
That’s not presidential, that’s tyranny”
“Now I
know why you like Trump. You like strong
language”
“How is
it not?”
“Tyrants
kill their political opponents not spy on them and charge them for process
crimes and find tax discrepancies in their returns to hurt them financially.”
“So,
you’re saying killing is worse than imprisonment.”
“Yea”
“So,
you’re saying the death penalty is a deterrent since it’s worse than life in
prison”
“They
don’t get life in prison. It ranges from
two weeks by George Papadopoulos to seven years like Manafort.”
The
payroll director comes to meet with Theo and says, “Can I speak to you
privately?”
“Sure”
They
move into a private room and Theo is told, “You know, you took advantage of the
elimination of the individual mandate and got rid of your health insurance.”
“I did,
this place isn’t going to give me a raise, so I have to give myself one.”
“What
if you get sick?”
“I never go to the doctor. I haven’t been in years. I want to die for many reasons but one of them being the direction of this country. I’m not suicidal but if it happens, I’ll embrace it. I’ve seen 40 countries and I’m only 35, that’s enough for a lifetime and every year, I plan to add another country to the list.”
“Well,
you may not get the chance if the Democrats win”
“True
but in the meantime, I’ll get all the money I can before government health care
euphemistically called, “Medicare for all” is passed.”
“Not
all private insurance will be eliminated Bernie said”
Theo
knows the payroll director is a liberal.
He responded, “Yea, like nose jobs and stuff but Sanders specifically
says that there will be no private medical care for emergency care. So when you need it the most, you can’t pay
out of pocket to get the care you need.”
“That’s
for people like you that refuse to pay for insurance then want it when
something catastrophic happen.”
“Now,
I’d have to pay the whole bill than be helped by insurance. I agree insurance companies should be able to
deny you coverage if you apply shortly before you need care. Obama got rid of that too by the way. Though the individual mandate did negate that
problem, the rest of it is still a problem and medical costs went up under
ObamaCare because of the retarded community rating thing. So yea, I’m not saying I should be able to
get insurance when I need health care.
I’m saying, I should be punished if I try to get care without insurance
by spanking me with a huge bill if I can’t find a doctor willing to work with
me.”
“Yea,
well because of Trump, I can’t force you but I think you’re an idiot.”
“You
can think what you want but make sure you don’t deduct health care from my
paycheck and give me my money.”
“Will
do”
“Good
chat”
Theo
went back to his desk and started looking at data again. He said out loud, “Holy shit, Obama used
foreign intelligence to spy on the Republicans too.”
John said, “Stop looking at old
shit”
“Those
who don’t know our history are deemed to repeat it.”
“What’s
so bad about it?”
“John,
in 2015, they illegally used the FISA court, foreign intelligence and NSA
database to illegally spy on American citizens.
Then when Mike Rogers shuts that down, and gets fired for it by the way,
they legally spy on the Trump team. Then
they criminally leak all this information to garner public support to establish
a special counsel for Bob Mueller to cover it up by spying on them again.”
“If
that were true, they’d be prosecuted instead of Trump.”
Not too
long after this conversation, California representative Devin Nunes sends newly
appointed Attorney General Bill Barr eight criminal referrals. Representative Mark Meadows says more to
come. Theo looks at the report and says,
“John, I know you don’t like old shit, but didn’t you say if I was right, there
would be investigations?
“Nobody’s
been charged yet. They’re just
referrals”
“Oh
okay, when it’s Trump the accusations mean everything but when it’s not,
convictions only matter, got it.”
“Didn’t
you support the War in Iraq?”
“Where
did that come from? But yea”
“Well
Bush lied, people died.”
“Fine,
but Obama spied and people lied.”
Theo
goes home and watches TV. He sees Jim
Comey on TV and he rolls his eyes. He
says to no one since he lives alone, “Why do they always interview him? What’s so intriguing about a guy that just
says ‘I don’t know all the time’
Comey is asked about the recent comments by Attorney General Bill Barr that the Trump team was spied on but the question is whether or not it was adequately predicated. Theo didn’t have a problem with that. It was a benign statement not making any accusations but the media and the left through a hissy fit. Theo laughed. Whatever happened to them claiming that if you have nothing to hide, you don’t care about being investigated? In Comey fashion, he says he doesn’t know what Barr was talking about and says he’s not sure if “court ordered surveillance” isn’t spying.

Theo
bursts out laughing. He says, “Okay, but
why was it court ordered? Because the
DOJ and FBI lied to the courts to get the surveillance with a dossier that you
yourself called salacious and unverified.”
To no
surprise to most people given CNN’s low ratings and this interview is happening
on CNN, the interviewer doesn’t challenge Comey on this point, he just moves
on.
The
next day at work, news breaks that Julian Assange is arrested. John and Theo have been keen on their little
debates and John says, “You know, Theo, Britain almost never refuses to
extradite people to the United States.”
“I know,
I really hope they do. I mean yea they
were involved heavily with Spygate but hopefully they don’t cover this up.”
“What
do you mean? If Assange is extradited,
he can refute Mueller’s exoneration of Trump.”
“If he
had that information, it would have already come out. It isn’t a coincidence he left the Ecuadorian
embassy after the Mueller probe was closed not before. He has no interest in helping Mueller because
he knows Mueller, the media and the DOJ is lying to the American people.”
“You’re
unbelievable.”
“Assange
already said that he didn’t get the information from the Russians.”
“According
to Nunes, who has really dug in that Trump’s team was spied on and is a Trump
guy.”
“He’s
been proven right when Mueller in a council filed with Trump-hating Democrats,
tried for two years to get the president impeached and ended up saying no
collusion and referring the obstruction to Bill Barr and Rosenstein because
they were too big of pussies to admit it themselves that there was no
obstrucion so had Barr take the responsibility, which he did.”
“Mark
my words, Assange coming to the United States is bad for Trump.”
“You
know what John? I am going to mark them.
In fact, let’s write it down and hang it on each of our desks. This case can go two ways, either your right
and Assange blows up that Trump colluded with Russians to steal the election or
I’m right and Assange reveals that the leaked information from Wikileaks didn’t
come from Russia. Then whoever is proven
right has to admit to the other that they are gullible and got hoodwinked by
the beacon of Democratic excellence as you call the media or I got hoodwinked
by the vast Right Wing Conspiracy as you call them that the Russian collusion
is a hoax. Everything that has happened
since Trump took office has proven me right.
Why would this be any different?
Put it in writing that if Assange reveals it didn’t come from Russia,
that you were wrong and I was right. And
I’ll do the same if he reveals that it did. Deal?”
“Well,
Assange could lie. He’s kind of a low
integrity guy.”
“See,
you’re already making excuses because you know that you’re a hack and a
gullible piece of shit.”
“Why
are you getting so angry about this?”
“That’s
always your fall back line when you know you’re losing. This entire thing happened because the media
had a false story that Russians hacked the DNC serve and gave it to Wikileaks
who then released it to the public. What
if Wikileaks didn’t get it from the Russians?
By the way, how come the New York Times and the Washington Post haven’t
been charged with leaking classified material like the dossier
information? Why is it only Assange?”
“Assange
isn’t American”
“So,
only American journalists can leak classified information?”
“The
problem is the person that told the New York Times and Post not them for
printing it”
“So,
why isn’t the problem the people who told Assange and Wikileaks?”
“What
did the Times and Post leak that was classified”
“The
Mike Flynn talks with the ambassador for one.”
“Well,
I’m not taking that deal because I don’t trust Assange”
“You
will if he says he got the information from the Russians”
“Let’s
not talk about this.”
“Okay,
so if he backs you up, he’s a reliable source, if not, he’s a liar. Got it.”
Theo had
dinner plans with one of his friends Matt.
Matt is an aide for President Trump.
Matt and Theo have been friends for over two decades but they don’t talk
about politics much. Matt doesn’t want
to label himself as a Democrat or Republican but Theo finds most his views are
right of center but he doesn’t keep track on what the positions of the left and
right are so he doesn’t know which of his views are right or left of
center. He prefers to just take every
issue individually, which Theo has no problem with because he believes the
facts always favor the right. As they
talk about regular life stuff, the conversation does get political. Theo says, “I’m worried that Trump not
building the wall is going to alienate his base and he’ll lose in 2020.”
Matt
says, “I don’t know what’s going to happen in 2020, I don’t really care. The President is building the wall, he just
didn’t get it from the places his base wanted but that’s not really fair.”
“Yea, I
agree but the Coulter conservatives don’t.”
“Is
that a real thing?”
“No, I
made up the term.”
“Don’t
you like Ann Coulter?”
‘Yea,
but I think her turning against the president for not building the wall fast
enough is unfair.”
“Well,
she’s entitled to her opinion”
“The
thing is, she categorically states that the wall is not being built. I’ve never seen her proven wrong. There were some parts that had a wall anyway
so I can’t even go look for myself. She
claims ICE and border patrol agents admit that construction hasn’t been started
yet. Then I see the Trump campaign
releasing pictures of the wall being built.
I don’t know who to believe”
“I work
for Trump, the wall is being built.”
“You
work for Trump, so you have to say that for your job security.”
“I
guess you have a point there but I’m not for what it’s worth.”
“I
believe you but it’s not enough to convince people who don’t know how high in
integrity you are.”
“Yea,
the wall is being built.”
“The
President just seems to like letting the left expose themselves for the
hypocrites they are. It’s entertaining
for me because I can see through it and remember what the media said and I can
see through the bullshit spin they put on it to avoid admitting they’re
contradicting themselves but most Americans cannot.”
“Well,
you may get your chance again”
“What
do you mean?”
“I
think I figured out a way to do what the President likes and expose the left,
not necessarily Democrats because before Trump the Democrats were against
completely open borders. Even Bernie
Sanders said not to let everyone in but his actions are different from his
words.”
“Can
you tell me?”
“Yea,
since we can’t release the illegal immigrants into Mexico, release them to
sanctuary cities”
“That’s
still America, and they can leave.”
“If
they leave, the non-sanctuary cities will deport them.”
“That’s
like an internment camp.”
“No,
it’s not, they’re free to leave. We’re
not keeping them there. After all, why
wouldn’t they want to stay? They get what they want, access to American aid and
services. Hell, some sanctuary cities
let them vote.”
“Which
is the problem, illegals can’t be voting in an American election, it’s too
dangerous. Giving them defacto amnesty
is dangerous!”
“I know
that. You know that. But the Trump haters line is that we can’t
release them into Mexico so this is a solution to that.”
“I
don’t’ like the solution”
“Nobody
does. That’s the point. The left will contradict themselves by coming
out against this. Then it becomes, ‘well
this is what you said you wanted, why don’t you like it?’”
“I
understand they did that when Roesenstein recommended Comey to be fired because
he thought the left was mad at Comey for the Hillary E-mail thing but they
moved on to Trump colluded but I don’t
think they’re that dumb to come out against this.”
“Wow,
you’re saying the left might be smarter than someone else thinks? I thought you said they were pretty much the
dumbest pieces of shit in the world. Yet
you put this above them?”
“They’re
tactical, they’re not stupid, they lie, connive, and cheat to get power.”
“So,
why wouldn’t they lie about this?”
“I
don’t know. Look, I’m not saying don’t
tell the President but don’t be surprised if you get shot down.”
“That’s
fine, the whole point of advising the President is sometimes you get shot down
and sometimes, rarely, he runs with it.
That’s why he has multiple people advising him to find different
solutions to a problem. Sometimes he
picks yours, other times he doesn’t but you’re not vilified for being wrong.”
The
conversation proceeded to other aspects.
Matt proposed his idea to President Trump and he loved it and ran with
it. Matt texted Theo and said, “You may
want to watch CNN tonight.”
“I hate
fake news”
“Oh,
you’re going to like this one. Tune in
at 9:00”
“Okay”
Democrat
presidential nominee hopeful Julio Castro is being interviewed on CNN. The interviewer asks what he thinks about
Trump releasing illegals into sanctuary cities.
Castro responds, “The cruelty of President Trump knows no end. This is cruel and unusual punishment. First, he wanted to be cruel by separating
kids from the parents on the border as a deterrent, which had the opposite effect. Now he’s saying we weren’t cruel enough. Compassion is the way to go.”
Theo
said, “Cruel for who? Holy shit, Matt
was right, they are that fucking stupid.
First of all, Trump didn’t separate kids the border. That was a 1997
Florez consent Degree coupled with Amnesty trials taking longer than 20
days. It was a Clinton idea. By keeping them together, they had to release
both children and adult so adults took their children to the border because
they know that the left wouldn’t let them prosecute illegals with children, which
is the most retarded thing I’ve ever heard.”
When
you live alone you talk to yourself a lot.
Matt called Theo and Theo picked up and said, “Fine, you were right,
they’re stupid. I forgot about NIMBY”
“Since
when do you use acronyms? Didn’t you
always say that the left uses acronyms because they know they’re talking to
dumber people so they need to simplify the message but with conservatives they’re
smart enough and respectful enough to say the whole thing?”
“That
was before Trump was so successful with his MAGA campaign.”
“So now
you endorse it?”
“No,
not fully, fine, I won’t say NIMBY, I’ll say not in my back yard. Happy now?”
“Yes I
am”
“So did
you call to gloat?”
“You
know how much I love hearing you admit you were wrong.”
“Yea
Yea, fuck you.”
Both
Matt and Theo laughed. The conversation
ended and Theo changed the channel. He
was seeing a report that New York had just approved $ 27 Million to illegal
immigrants for college aide but denied it to Gold State Families. He knew that John had a son that was in the
military. That was when John turned
against Trump when he attacked a war veteran McCain. Theo tried to make him see that when he
increased military funding, Trump was very pro-military but just because he called
McCain a loser, John didn’t care what else he did; Trump was anti-military because
of it. Theo goes into work and tells the
man who was born and raised in New York, “So John, what do you think about
these Gold Star Families being denied college aid but illegals get it in New
York?”
“New
York is becoming even worse than when Koch and Dinkens were in charge.”
“Well,
that led to the greatness of Giuliani”
“Yea,
well he joined the Trump campaign so I’m not sure if he’s so great anymore”
“So, he
made the city you live in safe and cleaned it up but now he’s a moron for
joining Trump? How do you reconcile
that?”
“People
get dumb in old age.”
“Oh
okay, that’s a little weak.”
“Yea, I
just can’t believe New York doesn’t recognize people that lost a loved one in
combat defending America but they help invaders into our country.”
“Careful
now, you’re beginning to use harsh terminology like me and the President.”
“Neither
of us are in office.”
“It’s
amazing what you need to do to protect yourself from realizing that President Trump
may not be as bad as you think.”
“It’s
amazing to me that you think he can do no wrong.”
“I’ve
admitted that he’s been wrong. I don’t
like how he won’t just build the wall and tell Congress to pound sand because
he already has the funding.”
“Parts
of the wall had been built before him and since him.”
“Not so
sure that’s true.”
“You
have the data. We work in an
organization that processes data. You
can see it for yourself.”
“Yea
but it’s unclear what was existing and what’s new.”
“You’re
unbelievable. You just want to hold on
to the one thing you disagreed with him on so you don’t have to admit that you
approve of everything he does.”
“So I criticize him and you attack the criticism. I support him and you call me a yes-man for him. So basically I’m damned if I do, damned if I don’t. Fine, but we can agree that Gold Star family, people that have lost a loved one fighting for this great country, should get precedence over illegal immigrants.”
“Obviously!”
Okay. Theo eagerly anticipated Assange being
extradited to the United States to see what he had to say. Theo also believed Assange wasn’t credible
but he didn’t think Mueller and the counsel were credible either and they still
couldn’t help themselves to say Trump didn’t collude with the Russians. If Trump haters were forced to admit it, then
Assange, neither for or against the President would probably give it up much
more easily. Time will tell.
